One might be asking themselves when seeing the one star«why take the time to review a fast food restaurant?» Well its simple: great service deserves to be commended, BAD service needs to be highlighted, in all settings. This is the latter. First like many others have stated, this location is VERYFLUIDWITHITSCLOSINGTIME. , Google, and everything otherwise will tell you they close at 10PM. This is not the case. Anywhere from 9 – 10, everyone begins the process of closing the store, managers included. We’ve been turned away several times because they were«closed». Meanwhile you can clearly see people still eating in the dining area, and even the sticker on the door says they close at 10. Make of that what you will. Secondly and just as important, since moving to West Seattle in June I’ve eaten at this location with my girlfriend several times and NOTONEORDERHASBEENMADECORRECTLY. Missing sides is one thing, but to miss entire portions of the meal multiple times is inexcusable. You still might be saying, «Why go to this place if its so bad?» Well, me and my gf are optimists: we keep hoping that they’ll get themselves together because we can’t possibly be the only ones who experience this. I only decided to write this post after BEINGTURNEDAWAYAGAIN at 9:40pm. Please stay away from here. Please.

Really standard fast food for west seattle. I go here all the time after parades with my buddies and some of the cashiers know us. Overall I enjoy the taste of it, overall 10⁄10

Went to this QFC today for the last time. The floor was covered in grease(could literally feel my shoes sliding). On the counter containers with plastic utensils were filthy. Waited at the counter for five minutes and no one showed up to help me. By this time I had a good chance to look around and was pretty disgusted. Finally gave up and as I was pulling out of the parking lot saw the staff in the parking lot smoking a cigarette! Don’t suppose one of them could stay inside to assist customers? Sadly I used to love this location. The staff was friendly with efficient service and the place was clean(Years ago).(KFC is a maybe two or three times a year thing for me – now I figure it will be never)

Three different times i went to this place anywhere between 20 and 35 minutes prior to their posted closing time and they were already closed. The first time(30 minutes early) the manager came, opened the door, only to tell me their was a security concern so they were closed early. The subsequent two times no one came to the door but i’m sure i’d been given a similar excuse. The one time i came during the day and they were actually open, the food was pretty mediocre compared to other KFC’s i’ve eaten at. Would not recommend to anyone.

They forgot our cookie, so when we notified them about this they gave us 3 cookies for our trouble. Then just because they wanted to be nice they gave us 3 free biscuits. I am very happy about my experience today. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is that the bathroom smells kinda rancid and it slightly seeps out to the rest of the restaurant. It’s a mix of powerful cleaning products and a porta-potty

For gods sake, and the sake of West Seattle please close this location! This place sucks. Everything about it other than the pleasant girl working the window SUCKS. The chicken sucks, the biscuit was dry, the sides suck, they didn’t ask if I wanted butter or honey and didn’t give me any. The location of the drive through even sucks. Screw this place for even existing. That is the perfect location for a decent drive through and they are insulting us with their crappyness. KFC means low expectations, but this is far worse than that. The owners should be ashamed to take the customer’s money.

This KFC is close to where I live. I stopped by one night when I didn’t have any groceries in the house and after working 12 hours was too lazy to cook. The chicken was massively oily, which is weird because KFC chicken is baked in the oven, not fried(or suppose to be). The price for a bucket of chicken was ridiculous. I got the 12 piece with 3 sides and it was $ 33.99 before tax. WTF. I looked up the prices online to see if this location is totally out of line or what. KFC has a price guideline for their menu, and this location charges the highest prices allowed. See for yourself:
The drive thru ends 3 feet from the street so there’s nowhere to go if the guy in front of you is still waiting for his order, like what happened to me. The employee told me to just hang a right to get out, which would be the complete opposite direction I needed to go. I just waited till I could do that and make a U-turn. I won’t be returning.

I don’t know how this place stays in business… First of all, we were hungover and needed a gut-bomb to cure it(sad, I know) so we decided to get KFC with cost and time efficiency in mind. Big mistake. The chicken was so dry I would almost consider it jerky. Quite frankly, I’m surprised oberto wasn’t they taking a lesson or two. They also completely left out a piece of chicken on a three piece combo… How? We may never know. That ended up being okay with us cause it was awful anyway so bless their hearts. You know I had to save the best for last… When we walked there was a homeless man asleep at a table. I thought maybe he had just fallen asleep and they would certainly ask him to leave when a group of customers strolled in… But no, he slept, and slept, and slept(not to mention he has both is hands down his pants). Eventually we got so uncomfortable by it we didn’t even end up eating our food in the restaurant.

I like KFC. Yes I know I should be ashamed. But this place is horrible. I cannot count the number of times I have been at this place(I never learn obviously) and received chicken that would appear to have been cooked the day before. Dry, cold, hard, etc… And try to find a corporate office to complain to. Forget it, I am finally done.

Had the worst kfc ever… tasted like it was cooked in some oil. I ended up getting food poisoning that took 5 days to recover! So disappointed because I havent had KFC in almost 2 years!

I had intended to write a far longer review but after I read the past reviews I thought. why waste too much time? To the punch line, my experience at this location @ 1:30PM on a Wednesday was no different than any other review on here. BADBADBAD. The location is highly visible but tough — tough on access. Once i was able to pull in the parking lot I checked the drive thru — oops at a standstill — so i parked in the generally empty lot and walked in. No one was in line, although i did notice a number of people in the dining room. After a few moments I realized everyone was waiting and there was NOONE at the counter. I did see people in the back. I also noticed made up plates of ‘eat in’ food sitting on the prep counter. After at least 5 minutes someone appeared, came up to the counter and turned their back to me and what was now 5 other customers behind me. Suddenly other people came from the back and there began a sudden clamor to ‘fill orders’. I can only judge that was what they were saying since they spoke no English. Although I speak some Spanish I have no idea what language they were speaking. Finally someone began to call names and started handing the COLD plates of food. Amazingly it was accepted and people began to eat. Someone else raced to pack to go orders and hand things out the drive through. Quickly I watched all the chicken disappear. After 19 minutes(i would have normally left by now but I had to see the finish) finally someone turned to me and said, what i think was ‘What do you want?’. My immediate thought? to get the hell out of here! Instead i asked«do you have any original recipe»? immediately he said ‘Yes’ pivoted and looked at the now completely empty display holding racks — turned back and asked ‘Grill?”. I said no i wanted(2) 3 piece white original dinners to go… we’re talking $ 20.00!!!I then asked — how long? The person left to go in the back, there was lots of yelling and a number of minutes later he went to the drive thru window and said to someone in their car — «No chicken now!!» Then he came back to the counter and said«18»(I guessed minutes).even though I had now invested almost half an hour in this circus I said — «No thanks«and left. As i walked out the line had grown and the drive thru was now totally filled @ 2PM. Clearly West Sea loves themselves some KFC and willingly take abuse to get it. Judging from other reviews what they get isn’t KFC — they just get a mess. I have no idea who the franchisee here is, but if you read this, it was clear you could DOUBLE your business if there was actually chicken available — after all this is a ‘fast food’ restaurant. I could have MADE fried chicken at home if i wanted to invest 45 minutes. As to the food quality or taste Im guessing it would match the rest of the reviews. Gross. I’ve been in many KFC franchises over the US and overseas and Seattle’s are near the worst anywhere I’ve been. Queen Anne? same deal. Capitol Hill? well it went out of business — Surprise! So I will, with interest check out the Burien family operation some day as another reader mentioned. It would have to be better than this!

I’m here today to join the elite crew of homeys that has actually reviewed a KFC. I would say I’ve slithered through the drive thru at this KFC10 to 15 times. Each time I was desperate for a cheap, salty food fix. Each time the crappy food met my extremely low expectations. Each time I regretted my dietary downward spiral. Then I would dine at Chaco Canyon Café the next day as penance.

I recently checked out this West Seattle location of KFC on a whim and boy did I wish I had listened to the Unilocal reviews. The location is a very busy corner(35th and Avalon) which itself leads to a difficult situation but then they put the entrance off as a left from Avalon with no turn lane. So you sat out in traffic waiting since all cars were blocking their entrance. Once you pulled in, the drive-thru lane is pretty narrow and so you better not have a oversized rig or else you better just park your car. I had a coupon from their website for a ‘meal deal’ which is the only reason it was even considered for a meal that night. When I told the girl my order, she told me it was only valid on Thursdays. I told her I had a coupon and then she said«oh. uhm ok.» The turn out of the drive-thru onto 35th was another adventure as the turn was extremely tight. You basically had to reverse your car and try to get the tight turn in. The food itself wasn’t as bad as some of the other reviewers said(undercooked, cold, etc) but the food didn’t set well with me. I don’t know if I’d frequent KFC or specifically this location again. It doesn’t seem to have the great smell of fried chicken when I drive by it every night so perhaps they aren’t pushing their product as they should anyway.

Oooookay. So I’ll make this one quick because it was a VERY interesting visit and my chicken was possibly life-threatening. I ordered a 20-piece hot wings and there weren’t any ready so they had to cook them. Fair enough. While I was waiting, a tall attractive young lady walked in and she was shouting back outside at someone in a pissed off tone. Next thing I know, this guy walks in and as the lady is waiting in line, the guy keeps making comments that seem to anger her. He leaves and she looks over towards me and this other dude who was also waiting for wings. She walks over to us and asks, «did you see a guy throw something on the roof?» I was like ummmmm, no… but I was thinking to myself«WTF!?» Anywho, she walks back to the line and places her order, then she turns to the guy and says, «If you don’t tell me where my shorts are, I’m never speaking to you again.» The guy mumbles something and then says, «You gonna trip out over some cheap ass shorts. I bought you everything you own…» Then he leaves. My wings are ready and I head home. I get home, bite into a wing, and it’s chewy… like RAW chewy. I look inside the wing and you guessed it… it wasn’t cooked all the way… basically still pink raw. Now we all know that chicken is not steak so cooking it medium isn’t cool. I ordered fried wings and they truly screwed it up. I wasn’t in the mood to go back so I actually popped them in the oven and finished them myself, but seriously… come on people. I’m not going back to this KFC… EVER again. P. S. The girl did get her shorts back. One of the KFC workers went onto the roof and got them for her. How nice…

I think I am over fast food. I tried Wendy’s a few weeks ago for the first time in years and almost barfed. I haven’t been to KFC in at least 2 years but was on the way to a concert and didn’t have time to eat dinner. I thought a quick chicky sammy would hit the spot. It hit a spot alright, but not one I can talk about at parties. Suffice it to say, the food may not be what it used to be. Either that or my tastes have changed so drastically that I actually prefer good food, not sure which. The service at this particular location was also a bit lacking in something… namely service. Next time I will see if the Bridge next door does takeout.

This has been a long time coming, very similar to how I always put off writing about my favorite places for fear they will be overpopulated… I always take my time before giving a «one» review. I can honestly say they’ve been bad for a while. Today was no exception. It looked like Twilight extras were working there, and they performed their jobs like they thought they were worth much more and remembering to fry chicken was asking too much of them when they were busy enough not noshing on the necks of glassy-eyed B level actresses. We pull up to the drive through and ask for their 14 piece thingy for our horde to devour. The overwrought waif manning the headset informed us we would need to wait SEVENTEENMINUTES if we wanted something besides wings. That’s right kids– they forgot to cook chicken… at the chicken restaurant. This was not after the dinner rush, or during lunch rush, or even right before they closed or opened. This was at five PM. Great start, so we just say toss in some extra wings, whatever. Then they don’t have more than one piece of corn on the cob. We get our bucket meal comprised of wings, and bag of sides and here is what we do not get: –Napkins –Artificial butter spread –Artificial honey spread –Sporks –Wetnappy things — the other three corn on the cob What we did get in our bag O sides: –The gravy spilled into the bottom of the paper bag –A small ¼ filled side container of corn niblets, exterior soaked in gravy, mashed potatoes, exterior soaked in gravy. –Disintegrated paper bag. I recommend the Family-owned Burien location. This one will only make you cry.

Horrible service– they always get the order wrong so ALWAYS check before you leave. The new menu means you pay twice what you used to. If you order the two sides that used to be part of the meals you will find you have spent $ 20 a person by the time you leave. Horrible Horrible Horrible. Also the drive thru is a killer– no way to leave without illigally crossing the intersection. VERY unsafe!
