Jolie Nails and Spa

Great overall service and good prices! The women at Jolie Nails do a really good job of making me feel comfortable and taken care of whenever I am in the salon. They are friendly and accommodating. I am a long-​time, repeat customer and I plan to continue.

I’ve come here in the past for mani/​pedis and eyebrow waxing, and prices are great. However after today I will never be coming back, and I am warning all the friends I’ve brought here too!
Brazilians are an unpleasant experience to begin with, but it was so much worse than normal. Paper on table hadn’t been changed, wax was way too hot, and the beautician clearly didn’t know what she was doing. With each small area of skin, she would wax the same part in rapid succession 5 – 6 times, which was super painful. Her NON waxing hand pressed on sensitive parts in such a way that it was even MORE painful than the wax itself. She opened the door multiple times (she said for gloves? Why are those not in the room already?) while I was just lying there. There was wax everywhere and it was a giant sticky mess. She didn’t even manage to remove all the hair!
Then at the end she used some sort of solution that burned so much it finally caused me to cry. And instead of an apology, she goes «it’s moisturizer, it’s good for you.» I refused to pay at first for this horrid experience, and she immediately got very angry, speaking not to me but only to her coworker in Vietnamese while saying the word «police.» I just paid and left. The whole thing was so humiliating!

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been going there since soon after they opened. The owners recognize and remember me and I feel like I’m getting personalized service and not just another random face. Over the years I’ve brought in my mom, who lives out of state, and friends and the employees have asked how my mom is doing. (Granted, she is quite a memorable character.) They’ve also invited me to bring in my preschool-​age son and when I finally did, they did his toes, too! The employees are kind and personable. The salon is clean and the services are very affordable. Two wide-​screened TVs that broadcast concert footage from the likes of Cher, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Whitney, etc are icing on the cake. Although… one time I went in there and the TVs were off… it was quiet and I asked if they could put in a DVD, as I was in it for the long haul with a deluxe (hot stone & parafin dip) pedicure. So… they put on Michael Bolton. I’d admit, that kind of felt like punishment! But I won’t hold it against them.
I’ve since moved far off the Hill, but I go out of my way to come back to Jolie!

I love these ladies! They always do a fantastic job. Parking can be a tricky sometimes but totally worth it!

I just started getting manicures this past year, you know, it’s wasn’t a guy thing in my generation. Okay, confessing that I’m Medicare eligible probably discounts this review, but don’t let it! The ladies here are great, friendly and I can always get an appointment on short notice. Frankly, the massage is the best part. I leave each time looking forward to my next visit. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

By far my favorite nail salon in Seattle for the quality, price, and atmosphere. I love Jolie and have been coming here for years. Though Ive moved, every time I’m in town I make sure to stop in. Really friendly ladies and a consistently great experience

The women who did my nails bluntly asked me if my nose was real.
I didn’t take offense, though — I thought it was a compliment, and they were polite about it.
Also, it was funny. I know how my fellow Asian people are, I get it.
And yes, my nose is 100% real, thank you very much.
Great service overall. My manicurist gave me a nice little neck and shoulder massage, and my pedicurist was meticulous.
My shellac nails came out all pretty and lasted for weeks! Price is right, too.

My friend and I were just walk-​ins and they were very friendly. We didn’t have to wait long for service and the ladies did a really good job. We both got shellac manicures for $ 30 each. They were also playing the Beyoncé tour on tv so that was a plus

For the last five years, this has been my favorite spot to unwind, sip a free beverage, watch a DVD of some diva’s concert, and feel pampered. In fact, I would argue it’s the best pedicure in the WORLD– I got off a red-​eye flight after 9 months of questionable manicures abroad (I never knew how good I had it until I left) and went here as soon as they opened. The core staff is very kind and motherly, always recognizes me, and makes sure to ask if I am working or on my lunch break– if I say I’m not, I’m guaranteed an extra-​long shoulder and leg massage! I like to get a regular manicure/​pedicure (a steal at $ 35) partly so that I can go in at least every 2 weeks and get their foot and hand massage; my fingernails often last almost 2 weeks with just regular nail polish. Having said that, I do see plenty of acrylic and shellac aficionados frequenting here, and they do a great job waxing if that’s your thing. They make sure to sterilize all their instruments and meticulously scrub the pedicure basins between each person and will offer you disposable flip-​flops if you forgot yours. Yes, the staff will often speak Vietnamese to each other while you’re getting pampered, but if you want to chat they’ll switch into English to tease you or remind you how pretty you are and give their honest opinion about your nail color choice. I rarely make an appointment as I go in the morning or mid-​afternoons (hellooo longer foot rubs!) but they can get busy some evenings and on weekends so it’s not a bad idea to call for an appointment.

Best customer service at a nail salon I have ever had. I’ve had my fare share of nail salons but they definitely go over the top.
I came in yesterday after work for a shellac manicure. My nail tech made sure I was very satisfied and took her time perfecting each nail. My nails look amazing, I can’t even pick out a single thing wrong with them. My shellac did take a little over an hour to do though, which is kind of long in my opinion but the product that came out from it was worth it.
What blew me away was when my nails were drying, the gal came over to give me a quick massage on my shoulders. After a long day at work? That was just what I needed!!!
They’re located across the street from Seattle U. I thought parking was going to be horrendous but ended up finding parking instantly!

Easy parking, was able to get right in for a pedicure on Friday night. Prices were definitely low. Great job.

Great mani & pedi… but just giving 3 stars because they charge $ 5 for gel take off, even though I paid $ 30 for a gel manicure (and $ 5 for French). I’ve never heard of this fee… front desk person was really awful.

Pedicure is below average. Enjoyed the manicure. Also, I mentioned twice I needed my eyebrows done and they forgot.

My go-​to spot. The ladies here are so friendly and do amazing work. Prices are wonderful too. I moved out of the neighborhood and still go back. Ask for Angie, she’s a gem!

These ladies went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my time. Very well done mani/​pedi and great prices.

Smaller salon but the manicurist are so nice! After only going in once they remembered me the second time I came in. It’s the best shellac manicure I’ve ever had. They really pay attention to detail to make sure your nails look perfect! They always play a concert dvd, which is actually really cool. They give you a neck massage along with the hand massage if you get the shellac manicure. It’s my go to salon now!

Update:
I get my nails done once a month (acrylic fills) and I’ve been trying desperately to find a nail salon I can at least tolerate since moving to Seattle seven months ago. After being disappointed by six other salons, I THOUGHT I finally found one worth sticking to, but the search will have to continue.
My first experience here was fine — nothing exceptional, but nothing wretched either, so I was eager to come back on those merits alone.
My second experience left me reconsidering –_​– The place was completely dead and I came for my usual fill and a pedicure. During the pedicure a woman started filing my nails for the fill and getting them all prepped. It was really odd, uncomfortable and made the pedicure totally un-​relaxing. Whatever, I don’t go for the «spa» experience, I just want pretty nails. So after the pedicure, which came out fine, nothing more and nothing less, the woman filing my nails continued with the fill.
It started off fine, then I realized why she was prepping my nails during the pedicure — to accommodate three other women who walked and had appointments (around 2pm on Tuesday). I guess their money is better than mine? She hurried up, which resulted in the lovely cut on my middle finger, and pawned me off to the less experienced girl who did my pedicure. Awesome.
When the girl painting my nails saw the cut she took a bottle of some liquid (I guess it was suppose to soothe/​clean the cut?) she placed the tip of the bottle DIRECTLY onto my cut. How many other people has she done this with?! I’m not a stickler for mess or skipping on aesthetics, but that’s damn UNSANITARY.
Jeez…
If I go back it’ll be for the price and proximity, but until then I’ll keep looking.

Decent place for a cheep manicure/​pedicure. Plenty of color choices, enough chairs that usually you don’t have to wait (but don’t go at peak times if in a rush). Best part, they ALWAYS have some random concert DVD playing. I have watched a Whitney Houston (seriously amazing 80s time capsule), PINK, En Vogue among others.
I personally find the staff to be pretty polite and friendly and am not offended when they don’t speak to me much or speak in Vietnamese to coworkers. Just is what it is.
I would recommend choosing the better brand polish for shellac manicure — it will just last better.

I have been to dozens of nail salons, and I sincerely believe Jolie to be the best bang for your buck.
This nail salon sets itself apart from the rest by displaying cool concerts on their flat screens that you can enjoy while they give you an expert mani or pedi. The ladies have almost always been able to fit me in right away.
In the end, they often give a neck massage too which is an awesome addition to the basic mani or pedi.
