Joab Construction

Our experience with Ben and his crew was disappointing and I would not recommend them for your construction needs. We hired Ben to pour concrete for a new bathroom shower, lay tile for a new shower and floor, plumbing for the toilet and shower, etc. The work took five times longer than expected, we went a week at one point without hearing anything. More importantly the work was of very poor quality. Tiles uneven and misaligned (due to their own uneven concrete), the drywall was shabby (no taping or mud around the joints), and barely any finishwork. Toilet rocks because their floor tiles were uneven. Poor communication and not very skilled. They rushed the job, did not pay attention to detail, and it shows. I would definitely caution against hiring Joab construction.

Ben and his crew at Joab Construction are fantastic. I have watched as they have completed a number of jobs in the neighborhood, and when we needed a retaining wall rebuilt in our driveway we had no reservations when we hired them. They completed the work quickly and efficiently, left the job site very clean, and communication/​expectations were flawless. We have been remodeling our house for three years and have hired a number of contractors/​craftsman– and Joab Construction is one if the best we have worked with. Highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of working with Joab Construction recently. We originally hired them to place stamped concrete front steps and back steps with a patio. We are very pleased with their work! They were professional, VERY hard working, and got the job done faster than anticipated. I really appreciate that they were so conscientious about my dogs. Always making sure the gates were closed, and they even made steps for my dogs every day before they left so that they could easily get into the yard after they were done. My mother was so happy with them, that she also gave them extra work, and they gave us a gorgeous stamped concrete driveway. Ben, Joab, and Moses were always very helpful, would answer our questions, and were very patient with us when we wanted to have something changed. They were the most affordable, out of all the bids we received. My mother would give them extra chores, and they would do them to keep her happy. We are looking forward to having them do our kitchen and bathroom next year.

I contracted Joab Construction to remove/​replace my old concrete patio, fix a crack in my basement foundation that was causing a leak into my basement and also had them resurface/​stain my concrete walk-​way that leads around the house. Ben and his team did a great job in executing all projects, keeping me well informed of any issues that came up and fully supported all the design requests I had, even accommodating my last minute changes that caused a delay on project due to the short notice of my decision. I am very happy with the end result and think my patio looks beautiful and not like concrete at all, rather like tiles which was the design I was going for. Thanks for a job well done!
