I just got my car back from Jeff’s tonight and am so amazed with the quality of service they provide. This is the second time I’ve used them (for two different cars), and both times they have been upfront on time it will take and pricing. I don’t have a lot of money and this last time was overwhelmed with the possibilities of what was wrong with my car. I called other auto shops to see if they could help me troubleshoot the issue with my car and received some horrible comments that were unhelpful. When I called Jeff’s, Doug took the time to listen to me and list off what could be wrong and what is for sure wasn’t from what I explained. He also informed me that they had signed me up for their rewards program the last time I was in which included towing for free to their shop (I’ve never heard of this anywhere else). They also added discounts because of this reward program and more discounts because of where I work. So thankful for their quick service (everything was done in a day without an appointment), and fantastic customer service. Most definitely will use them again and would recommend them!

My son Michael decided to move from Bakersfield, CA to Seattle, WA. We packed his belongings in a trailer and he followed us in his car. 186 miles from Seattle, his car starts making a weird noise. We decided to risk it and keep driving. We arrived at his new home and had noticed Jeff’s Auto repair across the street. We took the vehicle in the following morning (Monday) no appointment. Doug was up front about it taking a while to get it to it. We definitely appreciated the honesty. We had to get back on the road to California, but he called us and told us what was wrong with my son’s car. He had it fixed all in the same day. I know if my son has other vehicle issues, I will make sure he takes his car to Jeff’s.
Thank you Doug for the excellent, efficient service. You made these parents feel at ease knowing that our son’s car was fixed.

Jeff’s showed me the utmost respect and honesty and value that I’ve ever found from mechanic. (Especially Doug). I would trust these guys with any car problems — five stars definitely.

Had to have a new engine placed into my car after Jiffy Lube did a shoddy job with a simple oil change. My fault for going there in the first place, but I spent some time talking to Doug @ Jeff’s today after visiting and was incredibly pleased with the attention to detail and the friendliness of this shop. They do competitively-​priced oil changes ($ 35-​$ 40 if I’m not mistaken) and are real mechanics that can spot other problem areas with your engine that simpler shops may not catch at all. They have a warranty on their service (36 months) in case something wasn’t installed properly, which is something I’ve never heard of before. My engine had a warranty via OEM, but the work was warrantied by the shop since they’re accountable for it. Very impressed with my first experience here and I can see why others would go here.
I’m sure they’ll make attempts at small upsells, but they’re mechanics that will simply tell you what is recommended for your vehicle. If you aren’t quick enough to ask for an honest opinion, then you’re going to pay for services that you may/​may not need anywhere you go. At least these guys take responsibility for their work, something that other shops aren’t so quick to do. I’m keeping this place on my radar for future engine work, should I need it.

5 star on the detailing! Although I am a tidy person, in 19 years, I had cleaned my car only about once every 5 years– I brought it here for a full service detailing, inside and out, and was willing to pay an extra dirty charge. Well, there wasn’t one– and I could hardly recognize my sparkling 96 much loved car. Only $ 250 and hours of detailed scrubbing and polishing has made it a real pleasure to drive. Thanks, Zach! And the manager Doug instilled my confidence from the start as we discussed various options and he really got what I needed. Thanks a million!

Great People here. I took my car in thinking that I had a major break issue. Turned out it was just a pebble stuck between the rotor and the pad. They were very honest, so when my car needed major repair, we authorized them to do the work.

Made several recommendations, costing upwards of $ 500, that are not part of the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, i.e. gimmicks like «flushing the fuel injection system for $ 200.»
Otherwise, provide prompt and friendly service, one just needs to look into their recommended fixes before going ahead.

My car had a flat tire and they agreed to take a look at it right away. After quickly determining what the problem was, they advised me that I would be better off taking my car to Les Schwab, because they had a longer lasting fix for a flat.
They didn’t charge me for this service and they were very honest and friendly. They were very knowledgeable and had my best interest in mind. I met all the mechanic’s that were there that day too, and they were all professional. As a veteran, I also appreciated that they had hired a veteran as one of their mechanics. They followed up this event with a personal note sent to my home.
I have great confidence in their abilities and would take my car there for service again and highly recommend the shop to others.

I have never been treated so rudely in my life. Think twice before going here.
I made an in-​person appointment to have my car’s AC looked at. The man at the front desk told me that the price of the diagnostic would be $ 115, plus the price of Freon, but that repairs could range «into the thousands» and was «very expensive.» I told him I’d like to see what was wrong and made an appointment with him for the next day. I arrived on time, early. When I took my keys inside the same man was there who had been there the day before – he seemed like the owner or the manager. As he was checking me in, I corrected a computational error he’d made. He had clicked on the wrong person. He began typing and indicated that I’d have a 5 pm pick-​up (it was around 9am at that point) – I asked him why he didn’t tell me that they would by needing my car all day when I’d made the appointment with him the day before. As far as I knew, I was only paying for an hour of diagnostics and had planned to be in for an hour, starting from my appointment time.
This was when he told me that his machine at that location was «on the fritz» and that he would need to it to another location. As I was processing these details he began aggressively repeating «it’s up to you.» I didn’t know if I could trust him – I didn’t know what «on the frtiz» really meant or where my car would be going, and was already unnerved about the difference in how long everything was going to take. He had told me the day before there was only an hour of service going into this test, and had said nothing about the broken machine at that time. I remembered that friends in the area who had been to Jeff’s had told me it was extremely (overly) expensive. When I began to ask in-​depth questions about prices and times – he snapped «do you think that I’m going to take advantage of you??» I responded that it wasn’t out of the realm of possibility for that to be the case, and he VERY rudely picked up my keys, shoved them toward me, and told me he didn’t want my business. (Whoever this man was, he is a bully, not a professional.) I saw that he was acting irrationally and tried to placate him for a moment but he was insistent that I leave (maybe gathering that I would catch him in a lie?). I had in effect been kicked out for doing nothing but asking about the service I’d be charged for and the time it would take to be done. This was a very disturbing encounter and I was upset about it for some time. I had to write a review. I think it’s very likely these people do over-​charge – but I know from this encounter that they treat their customers with no sense of decency or respect at all, especially if this person represents upper management. Prepare to be taken…

When I took my car in for an oil change at an auto mechanic next to U Village, I was told I would need various fluid flushes which would total $ 300+. Thought this was fishy since I had a buyer’s inspection done 2 months prior and the car came back with flying colors. So, based on a trusted referral, I took the car to Jeff’s for a second opinion.
They looked at everything, including the rear differential (which they typically charge for), and said there was nothing wrong with the car. Never charged me a dime, either! Glad my referral came through and I will definitely be using Jeff’s again. Also, for any of you based in the U area, this place is conveniently located off the 75 bus route.

This place is a rip off. They charged me $ 600 to repair my window passenger window when the rope to move it up and down broke. This year it happened to my driver window & I was able to get it fixed for less than $ 200 somewhere else. Looking back, this place is a total rip off!!! Charging an arm and a leg!

This place is excellent service center to take your car. When I had a car that was dying, they were incredibly helpful in helping me find the problem and getting it repaired for a much lower cost than other places. In addition to that they also stood by their work, and when I had a transmission leak, refilled my transmission fluid for free until I could get the part replaced.
Also when I had a mini cooper with a broken sensor, the mini cooper dealership wanted to charge $ 700 to fix it, and refused to let me buy them part and have them install it. Instead I was able to get the part online for much cheaper, and Jeff’s installed it for less than $ 100 total!

This is the only place I will take my car from here on out.
My jeep has had a bit of trouble recently and Jeff’s Auto Repaid has done a fantastic job. Everyone I speak to is kind and willing to explain the repairs to me and the probably causes.
They are honest and have even charged me less money on one of the repairs they performed because they had to use more expensive supplies than they expected. They even have a few loaner cars that they are willing to let me use for free!
I’ve had a radiator replaced, the blower in my A/​C, pan gaskets and seals plus more.

They replaced my engine in a week. My van is purring again. Thank you, Doug!

I recently brought Jeff’s Auto Repair (Matthew’s Beach/​Sand Point Way) a 1955 Willys ‘Jeep’ 4×4 Station Wagon that hasn’t had maintenance in decades. This 70 year old money-​pit has too many problems to list! They fixed the leaky engine oil problem by replacing pan gaskets, rear main seal, etc. These repairs took over a full month, but I was patient with them since the parts were very difficult to find and match to the vehicle. They also installed a new fuel pump with a little ingenuity and modification. Some inevitable transmission issues arose during the process but, despite this, I commend them for having the balls to take in such a decrepit, vintage project.

I went there this morning. Place is small but clean, they even have their own water bottle label.
Doug took some time explaining why timing belts need to be changed, but that is long in the future for me. I had a coupon for an oil change, but I asked about synthetic oil and they told me whatever I have had before I should stick with-​he explained about the oils and cost, also I was quite overdue for an oil change, which I think I could feel. I know so little about cars but they also have an auto detail shop, if you need auto body, they can refer you to that too.
I would recommend.

I will not return or recommend Jeff’s Auto repair. The quote I was given originally, doubled after I dropped off my car, and the diagnostic was not included in the original price (which is normally free through other companies). After deciding to go with another auto repair, I was asked to pay over 60 dollars for the diagnostic. My car was returned to me in the exact condition I brought it in with. No repairs were done.
Before you bring in your car, it is worth looking at looking at other shops.

Jeff’s Auto Repair is great.
They are very honest and have integrity in the way they run their business.
I took my van there for some repairs and there was a discrepancy about some of the work.
I spoke with the service manager who called in the head mechanic to assess the issue.
They could have easily said it wasn’t their issue but they didn’t.
They repaired the van to a perfect condition and did not charge us for the extra work they had to do.
How often does that happen in life?
Once again, integrity is key to how they operate.
I would not hesitate to recommend Jeff’s to anyone I know, in fact, I have and will continue to.

As an obsessive clean-​car person, my friends chipped in a few years ago to get me a gift card to Jeff’s for a full detail on my car (this location has an attached auto salon, too). While they had the car, I thought, I might as well have them change the oil. That was 3 years ago, and I’ve been bringing my car there ever since.
In my experience, the staff at Jeff’s are honest. They tell me when things have to get fixed, give me accurate estimates (how novel!), and here’s the most impressive thing — they tell me when things don’t have to get fixed! They note potential problems with my car in the computer and check on them each time I come in, and they tell me early on how much it will cost to fix so I can prepare.
When I do get repairs done, the prices are fair. Maybe not the cheapest in the area, but they are competitively priced and they stand behind the work they do so I know I won’t have to have the same repair done twice. I’ve never had work done that wasn’t done right the first time, which is a big deal if time is a valuable commodity for you.
All repair work has been done on time and on budget. They will accept payment over the phone and lock the keys in the car so I can pick it up at my convenience after hours.
Fair pricing, honesty, accuracy, and solid work make Jeff’s a great place to take a car for repairs. And maybe a detail.

These guys are just as good as it gets. I am relatively new to the area, so I had the additional anxiety of finding a repair shop that I can trust. I have two little girls and my husband is away on military duty, so it was imperative that I get my car repaired quickly.
I called the shop and they told me to bring it in. They were able to work on it right away. All of the staff was professional. I sat in the lobby while they fixed my car and observed many phone and personal transactions. I could tell that they honestly are concerned about customer satisfaction.
It’s now approximately 3 weeks post-​visit, and I’m still as happy as can be. No more problems. I’ve had the same problem with two previous cars (Saturns are great, but their starters crap out like no other!). I think I paid approximately $ 400 to have this same problem fixed on my old Saturn about 4 years ago in Hawaii. This visit cost me just over $ 300 on a newer model Saturn.
I guess what I’m getting at is I think their prices are very honest. I was in a position ripe for being taken advantage of, but these guys treated me like their daughter. They wanted my car to be in the safest running condition, being every bit as picky as my own father. They even changed the license plate light. I had no idea it had even gone out!
I highly recommend Jeff’s. It’s conveniently located on the 75 Metro route just in case you need to be somewhere after dropping off your sick car. The prices are more than fair, the staff is exceptional, and the repairs were sound and accurate. Couldn’t ask for more!
