Awesome pre-ballgame food. No Oscar Mayer hot dogs or Sam’s club frozen burgers — good stuff and gorgonzola fries!!! Fair prices, just across from Safeco Field. Under $ 50 for 4 sandwiches, 1 fry and 2 bottles of water.

Stopped by the bar to enjoy a few drinks before our Mariner’s game on a weekend. It was quite busy but it wasn’t too difficult to find some space to stand or even an area to sit. The bartender/waitress seemed nice. It was awesome to see the amount of alcoholic beverage options they offer. Just the amount of beers on tap is amazing. A great place to stop by before a game to get drinks!

Went to Henry’s a few days ago right before a Mariners game. Showed up about an hour and a half before the game– wanted to sit inside since the patio was limited menu and it was pretty chilly. Long wait for restaurant tables so we went to the bar area and a kind bartender got us beers while we waited and grabbed a bar table for us. We ordered right away and our food came out so quick– ANDPERFECT! I had the classic cheeseburger with bacon and my friend has the BLTA with waffle gorgonzola fries. We also had their blackberry hard cider on tap– amazing! Overall, we had great customer service, our food was excellent, short wait, and soooo much better than any of the food inside of Safeco. Will be returning often!

This place is a total dump. Beer flies every where, tacky wait staff and a menu designed by a twelve year old. If there was a zero I would give them one.

To begin this was not a game day. The bar was not that busy. We got water within 5 min. We weren’t given menus or greeted by our sever for another 40 mins. 20 mins later we got drinks. 45 mins later we got our app. 3 mins later we got our entrees. Empty drinks, no server or service, been a server for years and this was that bad. Food was eh. Bartender was a jerk. The only reason they got two stars is because our server, as I walked across the room to catch her at her computer so we could pay, apologized and she admitted she was embarrassed on how bad the service and food times were and how understaffed they were. I’m gonna chalk this up to poor management. Nothing about Henry’s says great food but at least be staffed. Why carry so many beers if I can’t get one, isn’t that where the money is??? Can’t imagine how bad it must be on a game day, find somewhere else.

This place is a mess. No one greeting customers at the host stand, so we went to the bar. The restaurant was half empty but the bar had a decent amount of people. The bar tables were covered in glasses and plates because no one was cleaning them off. We decided to sit at the bar to help our chances of getting helped. 20 minutes with no service at the bar we decided to gtfo.

If you want a lack of service, overpriced menu and low quality ingredients — this is the perfect place for you. The only reason they are successful is beer and their location. Highly disappointing lunch.

There’s nothing worst than not getting served. We didn’t have a waitor/waitress and had to ask random workers for help if we needed it. It took forever to get food, drinks, and the bill. I wasn’t happy at all. Take your money elsewhere.

The last time I was here, I had an irritating service experience. Yesterday, it happened again. When my requested a table, the hostess asked another employee to check if table # whatever was«really» clean. If a hostess doesn’t trust her wait staff, should customers? Anyway, we were seated and given menus, but no one came to take our order. While we were looking over the menus, there were two waitresses arguing about how to set up tables for a larger group. Loudly. Listening to them bicker was really awkward. Neither of them helped our table, which was RIGHTNEXT to them(in the same section). Fast forward to a new group getting seated at the table next to us, and their drink orders were taken immediately. NOTCOOL. So we’re sitting in the half empty section, and the table next to us has already ordered, and we’re watching the waitresses stand around and chit chat. Only when one of us got up, walked to the front, and asked for someone to help us… did we finally get to order. The waitress who finally helped us was very apologetic but we were already seriously hangry. She forgot to bring limes that my friend requested. They also brought us cheese curds when we ordered calamari. We ended up with both appetizers, but it was just a waste of food because we couldn’t finish everything. I will say that the cheese curds were delicious, and our entrees were decent(except for the calamari that was terribly underfried). But man — if it’s that hard to get service at Henry’s Tavern, they must not need my business! And I definitely don’t enjoy being in the middle of staff drama.

We came on a Friday afternoon and the staff was very nice. I was happy to go to a place that is kid friendly.(9 month old). They had chairs for him and booths that he could reach the table. I loved their mac and cheese burger! Yummy! Food and service great! We will definitely be back with kids and without! Thanks for a good dinner!

Most uncomfortable dining experience I’ve had in 6 years of living in Seattle. Good food & drink selection, reasonable service, okay prices, but a real WTF experience. I was running errands in SODO with a friend and had the hankering for a fun Saturday lunch out. My bill was $ 30 for two drinks(one alcoholic, one not) and a pretty yummy Mac and cheese. This is pretty normal for places in this class. But I will never be back– After the first drink, the entire time we were seated and eating our meals, there was a big security guy less than two feet from my table, and we happened to make eye contact more than a few times. He wasn’t near a door, so why was he next to OUR table?! He faced me for the entire meal, and he didn’t move except for leaving once and promptly returning. As I had already ordered my food, I did not have the luxury of leaving. Really? This is a $ 30+ per person bar on a Saturday at 3PM. On the way out,(after paying and tipping) I casually mentioned to the hostess that I had enjoyed the food, drink and service, but that the experience was compromised by feeling like I was in an airport security line or a prison the entire time. (Not my original words– which were just that I would have felt more comfortable if the security guy moved around) Now here’s the fail– she says«oh let me get a manager» and returns with not the restaurant manager, but the manager of the security people– who proceeds to awkwardly explain to me that«this was the best place to watch the bar» and as he walked the way told the employee«you’re good.» So, don’t go here unless you want a bailiff staring down your meal, and an incredibly awkward experience when you try to politely provide a little feedback. Since when is this expected when you go out to eat somewhere nice at lunch? Have security if you must, but boundaries please. I’m glad I’m not there anymore and I won’t be coming back. P. S.: let it be known that myself and my lunch buddy in this instance are engineers– we don’t look sketchy, and we were not rowdy– I can promise this. Boring, polite and lame maybe, but no reason to be treated like a convict at lunch. Screw this place.

I’m writing this review after multiple visits to Henry’s, each time feeling confident that the experience would make up for the last. This location had so much potential to be great but decisions being made by upper management are proving to be detrimental to Henry’s reputation. Last night, we gave it one last chance and we will not be going back. We arrived at Henry’s around 6pm looking forward to their excellent beer selection and decent Happy Hour food. One of the reasons Henry’s HH caught our attention in the first place was because it is one of a handful of restaurants that supposedly offers an extended HH. When we walked in last night the place was dead, per usual, on a Saturday night! After taking a seat in the bar we were served water in plastic cups, strange. It was after our beers were brought over to us also in plastic cups that we made a complaint to our waitress. Why were we being served as though we are at sporting event in a restaurant on a non-game day? She was quick to say she’s just a waitress and does what she’s told. She also informed us that they were not offering Happy Hour food and only the game day menu because of a boat show event across the street. This is not the first time we have been told HH isn’t being offered due to a random event in the area that isn’t even drawing in customers. Game days are understandable, no place in this area offers HH when the Seahawks/Mariners are in town. But a boat show? A confrontation ensued with the waitress after that primarily due to the unprofessional manner in which she handled the situation. The manager later came over, although he didn’t introduce himself as such and if possible handled the situation even worse than the waitress. No apologies were offered, nothing. It was a pointless conversation. We are beyond disappointed in the decisions upper management is making. Serving customers with plastic cups when your restaurant is empty because«your dishwasher can’t keep up» and eliminating HH whenever there is any event downtown? It makes no sense! We do realize those decisions are not the fault of the staff at Henry’s and if the situation had been handled better this post would be different. Aside from our disappointment in the above decisions the true reason we will not be giving the establishment another chance is because of the unprofessional wait staff and poor choice of manager. Take from this review what you will but please consider the following from someone who lives in downtown Seattle and who eats out frequently: don’t waste your time and money here. There are SO many excellent restaurants in the vicinity from which you’ll walk away happy and satisfied with both the food and the service.

It is truly unfortunate that the Portland location is so much better because it takes away from my experience here at Henrys. I find the staff at this location to be snide and tired. It is located in SODO, so it seems to be adequately supplied with sports bar tv’s and furniture but it just lacks passion. The staff in general just doesn’t seem pleased to be here, ever. I had a business meeting here, a pre and post game party, birthday drinks with a pre-party get-together and came here for my first visit jsut for dinner. On every single visit, it was the same. The food is good and follows suit with what to expect, but the service is timid and fine. It’s a good burger joint and a nice spot to hit for dinner before a game. Just don’t count on good service.

Great food, first class, friendly service and not pretentious or pricey. Highly recommended. Right across the corner from Safeco Field! Our server Jamie was excellent, friendly and very attentive. The food was also excellent, fresh and well presented. Great for business lunch or Dinner, or Cocktails.

This place is perfect to watch a big game! We had a watch party here for my alma mater, and Henry’s pulls out all the stops for big groups. They have a cool area towards the back of the restaurant consisting of groups of couches and chairs centered around big screen TVs that lends itself well to a watch party, large or small – one of the areas by itself probably seats around 8, but combining them(as we did) means you get 3x the screens and 3x the space! Food/Bev: Henry’s offered a happy hour menu(3 – 6 Mon-Sat and 10-close Sunday), the regular menu, AND an ‘event burger’ for our group. The happy hour menu is where it’s at if you’re looking to maximize your food: money ratio. Fries, hummus, sushi, salad, Mac n cheese… pretty substantial for an HH menu, and at reasonable($ 5 – 10) prices. Happy hour also offers a selection of beer, wine, or mixed drinks on special. The only downside here would have to be parking; because it’s near SafeCo(like literally spitting distance from it), you’d be lucky to find street parking nearby. Eh, c’est la vie in Seattle.

You can’t possibly call that a margherita pizza! Uncooked dough, sliced burger tomatoes on top, hardly melted cheese. We would have sent it back if we didn’t think it would take another 30min to get a re-made one. I’m trying to figure out why this place is busy all the time? Location? Go here for a prefunk before an M’s game, but don’t come here for dinner and drinks. Just terrible.

A nice sports bar located right next to the stadiums, come in to the dining area and you won’t have trouble finding a spot for the game. There’s plenty of TV’s and the sound is wired just right so you’re not going to miss anything. I didn’t feel the food was a great value, but in the end you’re doing alright coming here while your ticketed friends are in the stadium.

Made a few visits here, sometimes sober sometimes not, buuuuut I can say my most recent visit was awesome! I wish I remember the names of the two bartenders that night, they were great! Attentive, helpful, funny! One bartender looked at our Gorgonzola fries and brought us out extra cheese without us even saying anything and boy was I glad he did! Dang those fries are so rich and so delicious! And the chicken tenders we’re mighty tender! And your brew is poured and served on a ice cold bar slate that surrounds the perimeter of the bar. Pretty sweet spot before/after a Mariners game!

Came here for the first time before the Sounders game. Good crowd and big outside area. Fun place when the sun is out! The food was good. Burgers are big and filling. Drinks are good and the service was super fast! The margaritas and Mojitos are yummy! Excellent place to go before a sporting event. The staff was super accommodating due to the fact there were so many people that wanted service. We will be back! Fun place with great vibes! Perfect location prior to Sounders, Mariners and/or Hawks game!
