Juanita at Frame It saved us! We needed to put together a collage of photos on 2 foam core poster boards for display at an event. We had the photos and captions, but no boards or way to mount them. We flew in and needed a place nearby. Not only did Frame It have what we needed, but Juanita gave us outstanding advice on which color board to really make the photos pop, and layout advice so we didn’t need boards as big as we originally thought. They also had double-sided, photo safe adhesive tape, which let us do a professional looking job without the mess of spray adhesive! The finished product looks amazing!

I wasn’t going to write a review, but then I saw that someone else had a similar experience to myself; they rated it and I felt that I needed to as well. I had a large poster that I wanted framed for a birthday gift. The poster was huge and needed a custom frame. I paid a pretty good chunk of money for it and was told that it would be gorgeous in a frame, etc. After picking it up and giving it as a gift, the recipient called me a few days later and told me it was starting to wrinkle. I was so embarrassed. I quickly called Frame It and explained. She stated that I should have known that if I didn’t purchase an adhesive process, of course it was going to wrinkle. She told me it would be another $ 100 to get it fixed — and that was on top of he hundreds I had already spent. She wasn’t sorry, or anything. She was very nonchalant about it and I was pretty upset. She told me they didn’t do the process in house so they would have to send it out. Maybe if she had explained the process that was necessary in the beginning, I would have chosen a different frame option, and possibly would have had it mounted instead. But none of that was explained. So I ended up taking it to Frame Central(where I normally do my frame business). They were able to fix it in house, adhere it, and more, for almost half of what Frame It was going to charge me just for the adhesive. They’re always really nice at Frame Central and they really took care of me. I wanted to support a local frame shop, as I live in Northgate, but I think I’m better off driving to Wallingford for Frame Central. Nice to see that the person who had the same experience, their review isn’t «recommended» and doesn’t show on the first page.

When I frame something, I will usually look for a cheap picture frame somewhere, but that can defiantly be a hit or a miss and I wanted to just get it done. I went into Frame It and the woman there was very nice and helpful! I didn’t see a huge section of frames but I found one that I liked. The clerk guided me through some options, color choices and offered a lot of great suggestions. I spent a little more then I was hoping to($ 80 for two 11×14 frames, matted). Although, my pictures look lovely and the colors look great! The only reason I give this place four stars instead of five, was that it took the clerk 2 – 3 hours to cut my mat to the right dimensions when she said it would only take an hour. You can’t deny their experience here and the folks here really seem to love their job. However, if you are a DIY kind of person and/or a little strapped for cash I would not recommend going here.

Yes, Ive given Frame it 5 stars and here is why. Ive been coming here for the past 10 years that I have been living in Northgate State and this is the only place I take things I need framed professionally and not just by me and my Target frames. My husband is an artist and he likes this place. He could do it himself, but it takes too much work to get his little callous free hands messy. Today was a perfect example of why I like coming here. I got some pictures framed and the owner called to tell me that how they would look in the frame was going to be a bad idea. I had gone in there the previous week and the person who helped me was a new staff member and wasn’t trained on everything. So the owner called, told me what the deal was and how she could fix it to make it look fly! I came in to pick it up and it looked awesome. The artwork is for someone else, but gosh darn, if I just wanted to keep it for my self. In the value pacs they used to have a discount coupon, but either they don’t do that anymore, or I have asked to not get as much junk mail. I also like that its a local business and I try to support local if I can. Its pricey, but you should know that if you get things professionally framed a lot as I do. I have things all around my home to get framed like my one breasted bust I made at the Burning Man, but that is for another day my friends, that is for another day…
