I found this truck at the Crossroads Farmer’s Market at the Food Truck Snackdown, and ordered the chicken flatbread sandwich. After asking the cashier what charmoula is, which helps describes the item, he told me it was a marinade for the chicken thigh meat. It sounded really good, so decided to give it a shot; but ended up a little disappointed. I really like Middle Eastern food, especially for its fresh herbs, but this one fell short. The flatbread was stale, so was hard to tear off and made a rubber-like texture when you chewed on it. The chicken was dry, and couldn’t taste a distinct marinade/flavor. And the pearl couscous was drenched in hummus and some other kind of sauce — perhaps the marinade. The meal seemed to be bland more than anything. Bummer.

Fez on wheels showed up to Electric and folding bikes North West for a bike rally party. The food was awesome! I had the Lamb flat bread sandwich. Good portion and packed full of flavor. No skimping on the lamb meet. Try the spicy picketed lemon topping! Follow the Fez!

I love working in Ballard, because each Friday a different Seattle food truck comes to my place of work during the lunch hour(well, more like 11 – 2 or something like that). This week, Fez on Wheels came to visit us — and even though I brought an uninspired salad to work for lunch, I decided to visit Fez for a hearty lunch. I was pretty excited to walk up to a food truck without a lineup — but in my excitement, I immediately ordered the falafel«sandwich» without regarding the rest of the menu. Now don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed my falafel — but their special was marinated cod, which I hope they have the next time they come our way! Service was super friendly — I think the owner was cooking, and his mom(who I think was his mom) was the cashier. They accept cash & credit as payment, which is handy since I rarely have cash on me. Anyways, I maybe waited 5 minutes while they freshly grilled my flatbread — which is a reasonable wait time, and much faster than expected! On the base of the flatbread, was, well, the flatbread. It was thin just the way I like it, slightly chewy(in a good way!), with a light crisp on the outside including smoky char marks. The base of the flatbread had tangy hummus, with cucumbers, pickled onions, crumbled falafel, parsley and crumbles of salty feta cheese. It was absolutely HUGE and when I first went to eat it with my hands, I quickly realized I would need a fork. Not only that, but I forgot to grab some of the pickled lemons I had read about on Unilocal — so back out I went, grabbing a fork and a healthy scoop of lemons. I really didn’t know how to incorporate the onions into my meal(the photo with it on top of the flatbread is the best way to eat it, I’d say) so I at them on their own. Pretty darn tangy and pungent this way, but still delicious! For $ 8, I had a healthy filling lunch — similar price to a Subway footlong, but 100% better and tastier! I look forward to Fez’s next visit!

They are a good food truck option if you are in the mood for middle eastern food. I recommend trying their falafel sandwich — which is mix mash of falafel, great yogurt based sauce, cucumbers, tomatoes and a good drizzle of spices. If you are hungry I would recommend adding a half fried egg to the mix. Their sandwiches are made all the more savory and tangy by adding on a decent helping of the lime pickle which is a trademark of sorts for the truck. The lamb sandwich on their menu was good but I thought the flavors were all over the place and did not complement each other. The folks at the truck are friendly and always strike up a good conversation.

Late review! They catered our wedding at Within Sodo in August and people loved it. Asked them to make smaller portions so people could try several items and they were perfect. Looked beautiful and my guests raved! On top of all of this they were the absolute best value. Book them!

Food trucks usually bring it with flavor and ingenuity. Fez, however, misses this mark. Nice enough folks but their food was super uninteresting and unfortunately bland… Kinda hard to do with Mediterranean, right!!! I’d try it again because I’m a fan of a) food trucks and b) Mediterranean food but if Fez is sitting next to another food truck as it was today, I would skip it in a heartbeat.

Fez On Wheels catered our wedding at the Georgetown Stables, complete with appetizers and a food truck buffet. We had 200 guests and there was plenty of amazing food for them to enjoy throughout the evening. Many told me they loved the food and would look them up to find their truck around town. Flavorful, delicious, and with many GF and Veg options to please a diverse crowd! They were great to work with and were affordable. Mmm lamb! Yes please!

Seriously good Moroccan food without having to travel all the way into Seattle. What could be better? The lamb tabreezy makes me want to dance. It’s everything Moroccan cuisine is– bright, flavorful with a wonderful combination of sweet yet tart. The flatbread melts in your mouth. The relishes are delightful, the pickled lemon isn’t very sweet like I initially thought it would be. It makes a nice compliment to the barberry sauce the lamb comes with. The chicken tagine is bland by comparison. It doesn’t have the same qualities that the tabreezy does. Definitely my all time favorite food truck. Try their custom sodas if you get a chance!

This truck is parked in Bellevue at the Barnes and Noble plaza on Tuesdays. I have been a couple times. I was not impressed until I got their lamb with an egg. While the egg is an extra dollar, it totally enhanced the experience. The lamb smelled so fragrant and lovely, every bite was an enjoyment with the pickled lemons. If you like bold seasoning and flavorful food, do order the lamb.

I have not written a review in a long time, but I must now. I don’t eat meat so I loved the selections that were offered. I was with a carnivore and we both loved the Falafel. We both liked it better than any restaurant in town. I went back and got the fava bean dish and the hummus and we devoured it all while talking about how good it was. Thanks Fez on Wheels. Your really satisfying, got any desert? P. S. The flat bread was charred perfectly.

Friendly staff and excellent street food. Got the Souk Sampler with chicken and a fried egg on top. Homemade ice tea had subtle flavors. Meat was tender. Food had nice color and presentation. Go for the pickled lemons on the side. Great citrus zip. Perfect for a rainy spring day.

Perfectly plain in all the worst ways. I saw this truck outside of Whole Foods by Roosevelt and decided to check it out. The prices are a bit high for the quantity of food they give you but the truck itself and the intrigue behind the type of food they serve got me to bite. The food came out pretty quickly, which was nice, but everything tasted extremely bland. I got the chicken dish and, even though it had a plethora of different spices and herbs and seasonings, it did not taste like anything. The most redeeming part of the meal was the flatbread which, I’m pretty sure you just have to heat up. Maybe they had an off day judging by the other reviews but I personally would not recommend this food truck.

Just got their Squash somethingorother today at the Freemont Farmers Market I was attracted by their enthusiastic workers standing out front really selling the food. so high energy I said«why not» and asked what was good. I went for the squash as it was vegetarian, and it was a good decision. Super filling, pretty tasty(maybe a little underspiced) and cheap! $ 5 Their on-the-ground man recommended the pickled lemons on the side saying«people come back just for the lemons.» yes. yes i would come back for the lemons. so overall pretty great.

I caught up with the truck at 2nd& Pike for lunch with Cynthia L. Yes, she loves preserved lemons as much as she says. Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw that jar. I must admit, I like them a lot too(although not as much as she does). I tried the persian tabrizee for $ 9. This dish has ground lamb, rice, and split golden pea meatballs in saffron tomato and barberry sauce on bay scented basmati rice and flatbread. Fancy! In addition to the jar of lemons on the table outside the truck, there is a jar of sweet sauce and a jar of spicy sauce. I took a very small amount of lemons so I could keep my taste buds alert. The lemons were tasty. As far as sauce, I chose the spicy and honestly, I was a bit afraid that I would regret my decision later(I had hallucinations of me running down the street with flames coming out of my mouth). Sadly, that was not the case. It wasn’t what I would define as «spicy» but that’s okay, taste can vary. As for the rest of the dish, the rice was cooked well. The sauce was in the right proportion. The flatbread was pretty standard. I think the portion was just about the right for the price. The entire dish could have used more seasoning. Because I had spared my taste buds the bold flavor of the lemons, I kept waiting for the rest of the flavors to reach my palette. I had eaten almost the entire dish before I realized it wasn’t happening. I think the truck has a lot of good things going for it and it’s definitely worth a try. I’ll be back to try more of the menu.

Victory is mine. One of the perks of being downtown is watching the food trucks roll into food truck central on 2nd Ave around lunchtime. It also helps to be friends with Monica B. who knows so much about food trucks, I think she should open her own food truck… that talks about other food trucks. Think Lucy in Peanuts, handing out advice for a nickel, except she is nice, and doesn’t hand out armchair psychology ;) I love Chicken Tagine: chicken, green olives, rice, and one of my FAVORITE condiments on earth — preserved lemons. It’s a flavorful dish that hits all the sweet spots in my mouth. The portion was appropriate, served with fresh grilled bread to scoop up the Tagine. It was not as salty as I would have liked it – the green olives were possibly cooked too long in the dish and didn’t add the ‘oh snap’ factor. I’m not sure how I even noticed because of the amount of preserved lemons I scooped onto my plate. It was more lemons than food! I am considering doing a dine-and-dash, where I drop a $ 20 and run off with their giant jar of lemons. I’ll be back for sure. I’ll get the Tagine and try it again to see how those olives are doing. Check out this truck; it’s a gem!

Attended the recent Seattle Street Food Festival at Cal Anderson Park and tried Fez on Wheels for the first time. This is a new food truck with dishes from numerous countries afar including Egypt, Iran, Morocco and Turkey. Though the food is from the Middle East and the vicinity, this is not a falafel truck like other Seattle trucks offering cuisine from this region. At least for the food festival, I found the prices to be really good compared to the other vendors at the event. In the $ 5 – 7 range from what I recall which makes me think these were smaller versions(half?) than what they usually serve on their regular food truck stops. I ordered the Moroccan chicken tagine which was $ 5. I was surprised by the amount of food for that little coinage. There was a large helping of basmati rice with moist chicken thighs mixed with numerous exotic spices and flatbread as a side. Chicken tagine has spices, but don’t get it confused with a curry. I liked the use of chicken thighs in this dish because they have a more plump texture than chicken breasts. They just work better in a fragrant stew dish like this one. And the flatbread is absolutely delicious. They were served hot and resemble naan in its fluffiness more than a pita which is a good thing. I am looking forward to trying this truck again. They serve downtown Bellevue on Tuesdays currently, so I hope to make a return visit if the stars align. Fez has an interesting food menu and some unique beverages(ex. ginger chili soda!) that make it worth a try if you are looking for a change from the usual fare.

I’ve been waiting for this place to officially start and have a semi-rotating list of places where the truck makes an appearance. Seattle’s food truck scene has been taking off like hotcakes recently, but I felt that Moroccan/Middle Eastern food was sorely lacking. With the addition of Fez on Wheels, such a void has been filled. I have to say that the Tabrizee(lamb meatballs with split golden lentils) are probably the single most delicious thing I have shoved in my pie hole in the pat year, and are even more so when topped with some of the house made pickled lemon slices and a dab of the harissa(spicy and salty). The hummus is also delicious– house made, and served warm. Warm! The portions here are big, but nothing seems super heavy, so you finish eating without feeling like you want to unbutton anything. The guys running this joint are also big sweethearts. Come here and buy lots of food.

Hard to follow that first review… Here go’s:) kinda cheesy but I have to start with the guys, totally cool with great customer service! They were closing shop at the Morgan junction street fair but we’re willing to accommodate:) I wanted all they had left at that point and was not disappointed! I really have no idea on menu what I ordered but the chicken and rice was amazing! The lamb meatballs were good, along with a fresh salad:) I didn’t get the famous flatbread:(…maybe next time. The saffron rose was deliciously refreshing! Thanks guys, great work!!! PS don’t forget the hot sauce and lemons!!!
