Helping my BF work on his house, he took me to lunch if you want to call it that, next to Home Depot after he picked up some plumbing fixtures. Best tamale I’ve ever had. The guy says they are made fresh everyday. Absolutely delish! The fish tacos my BF had were also very good. Happy to go shopping time for hardware if we can stop for lunch here.

I used to LOVE El Camion… until I went when it was busy. Ugh. now I know why people say it’s a hit or miss. My bf and I went over the weekend around 3pm and there was a pretty long line. I had a fish burrito and he had a carne asada burrito. We brought our food back home to eat and my burrito was literally 80% rice. I asked for no beans but I expected more cabbage and sauce but it was rice. and some fish and a lot of cheese and a tiny bit of cabbage. It was edible but after eating half it was so blahhhhhh. I guess times here will be like Russian Roulette. You never know what you’re gonna get.

Had the carne Assada tacos and the BF had a chicken quesadilla. He said it was delicious I thought it was ok.

Today was my first visit here. I was super impressed by the fast service and the huge portion sizes. I had the asada tacos and overall pretty great! I did read other rewiews that said the meat was a bit underseasoned but I really think adding some salt would make all the difference. I will go here again! Can’t wait to try other stuff.

This has long been my favorite taco truck in the greater Seattle area. It’s usually my go-to if I’m unsure where I want to eat, whether it’s for lunch on a free Saturday or dinner any day of the week. I’ve tried everything on their menu, and although there are one or two items I’m not a big fan of, by and large I don’t regret ordering things at random from their offerings. My favorite menu item is their burrito. In my opinion, it’s nearly perfect. The ratio of meat, beans, rice, and salsa seem very well balanced. They all combine to make create a hefty, satisfying, eating experience. Without a car getting there can be tough, so make sure you go with a friend who drives if you’re relying on public transit. Moral of the story: If you like great value, generous portions, and bold flavors you should give this place a try. You’ll be glad you did.

I do not know if I was expecting too much but this place did not meet my expectations. Solid choice but definitely not that good. Liked the fish better then everything else, 2nd pork, beef, chicken.

The food is actually mexican food. From seasoning in the food and sauces. This is as close I have gotten to mexican street tacos in Seattle.

Camarones A La Diabla are quite simply, Amazing! Although its a ton of food, you could share one. Palatable Mexican food can be hard to find in the Seattle, unless you love cheesy beans. Partner digs the«Carne Asada» and the extensive salsa bar Pickled Jalapenos, carrots & onions abound — don’t forget the squeeze bottles above all the other sauces if you like heat.(not needed on the Camarones A La Diabla — spicy shrimp) Niños like the chicken quesadilla and always ask about the tamale selection. We eat here every time we are in the area, Northwest Hospital is right around the corner.

Having spent 7 years in San Diego I became spoiled with cheap high quality Mexican food. You can imagine my disappointment upon moving to Seattle, that is until I found El Camion. The food is good, and you get tons of it for not a lot of money.

Great value on some delicious Mexican. I got the adobado burrito with grilled veggies and some chips. All around it was fantastic! The burrito was much larger than my hand and while I went into full fatty mode and ate the whole thing I could easily have eaten half now and half later and been satisfied(assuming I could resist eating that second half). The chips were also very tasty though they were out of Guac which was a bit of a bummer. I would have preferred to have eaten there because they have tiny salsa containers. Will definitely be back this is great Mexican food in Seattle.

I take my 5 star review back… I love this place and they have AMAZING food but the fact that their hours are completely wrong just like a few other people have reviewed about is insane. You need to have correct hours! Its 8:15pm on Sunday and it says they’re open until 10pm but it’s completely shut down. Fix your hours. I won’t come here if i don’t know when you’re actually open! Extremely disappointing. Delicious food. Not open when they say they are.

I am giving this location this rating because they are never consistent in the time they open and the employees working here don’t care a bit about their customers. If I could give it a zero based on this experience alone I would! Their website says they open 8:30am-9pm, hours vary. Google says 9:30, Unilocal says 10:00… I drove up and found them closed so called at 9:45am and was told 10am is when they open Saturday so decided to wait around since it was only 10minutes. At 10:15 I called and same guy who answered 30 minutes earlier said he was open and I told him I’m standing outside and the truck is closed & he hung up the phone. I have been sitting here for 45 minutes waiting and they’re still closed. I called back at 10:30 and the same guy who answered twice earlier and said he was already open, and just answers the phone«hello», said maybe they’ll be open 10:45 — 11:30am today but he doesn’t know. I have watched as at least 8 other cars with customers have come and gone and figure they’ve lost at least $ 100 in sales for the day because of this. I waited because their breakfasts are decent with good prices and I like to support these types of establishments. However, since the person answering the calls has told me different things each time I called to find out when they’re opening so I can figure out if I will stick around(and once blatantly lied to me saying he was already open and hung up when I called him on his lie by saying I was right outside) this establishment has lost a longterm loyal customer. I doubt I would ever return to this location because it’s incredibly clear that their time management skills are nonexistent and that they would flat out lie by telling me they’re open so that I might waste my time and drive out here to find them still closed tells me they truly don’t care about their customers and their customers time. These lost sales would probably pay the salary for the day of one of their employees and if I was the owner I would seriously look at finding employees who will be there when they tell their customers they’ll be there and who won’t treat customers poorly. I understand that food trucks can be difficult ventures and if one employee doesn’t show up to work or is late it can slow you down a lot but in these cases tell your customers the truth and don’t waste their time. I’m a very understanding person and I have plenty of other options for breakfast so if you can’t get your business open on time I won’t go hungry and I will try again another day — just don’t lie to me about it and, certainly, if you tell a customer that you’ll be open in 15 minutes make sure it’s in 15 minutes not an hour and 15 minutes and never say you’re open knowing full well you’re not and aren’t likely to be in the next 5minutes. Pretty basic Customer Service skills.

You will not be disappointed with the Mexican food from this food cart. This is both my older sisters’ go-to Mexican Food Truck of choice in North Seattle. It’s next to the parking lot of Home Depot off Aurora. There are plenty of food options to choose from. Last night I went with two spicy pork tacos and a chicken mole tamale. It was soooo good. I was sad when I finished my food, but I was so full that I didn’t need anymore food. Now to plan for what to get next time!

First time at El Camion, ordered two taco plates with carne Assad and carnitas. The meat was not seasoned well, especially the carnitas. I will try it again but was underwhelmed this time. Beans and rice were standard issue. I liked the grilled jalapeño. The salsa condiments and pickled jalapeños outside for self service was a real turn off. No covers or sneeze guard… I may just stick with my favorite truck located in Shoreline, in the Burlington coats factory parking lot… Los Amigos.

If you like authentic tasting taco-truck Mexican food, this is the spot. I’ve had the breakfast burrito(huevos con chorizo), and a number of different tacos and quesadillas — very positive experiences enjoying each and every one! The salsas they have on the side of the taco truck are crucial to the meal IMO, you can’t leave without them! They have a crazy variety of different meats which I think is really cool — HIGHLY recommend getting beef tongue(lengua) if you want to try something new, you won’t regret it. The line can get pretty long and there aren’t that many places to sit(it’s a small taco truck next to Home Depot, what did you expect?), but in terms of taco truck food, this is some of the best Mexican food in Seattle. Prices are pretty cheap too, which doesn’t hurt.

Ok let me be clear here… I am only reviewing the breakfast burrito. I have had a few other items on their menu including the casadillas, and burritos and they are pretty good and the price is fair. I stopped at the Ballard location on the way to work and was thrilled to see they were open for breakfast. I ordered the burrito that has sausage, bacon, eggs and pico de gallo. I was expecting something heavy on eggs with some sausauge and bacon thrown in, but what I got about a pound of sausage(I love meat, dont get me wrong), bacon, and maybe a tiny bit of egg thrown in. It was basically a big greasy mess. There were also some part of eggshell left inside… bleh. I will probably come back for dinner, but never again for breakfast.

Decided to try a cabeza burrito with a lil habañero sauce sooooooo delicious and spicy!!! Packed with flavor and a lot of heat. It was heaven in my taste buds! Tried the posole(hearty soup); recommend if you want a delicious soup with tons of meat, and huge cup of deliciousness! Always packed and filled with people. Great place!

Really good fish tacos, okay chicken tacos. The fish tacos have a ton of flavor which is in part due to the sauce. I thought the chicken tacos were really lacking in taste. One thing I really liked about these tacos is the light crispiness of the actual tacos. I would probably good back or at least stop by if I was passing and grab a couple fish tacos or try something new. There is parking in the lot they are parked in and quite a few seating options.

Got lured to do some home improvement projects with the promise of fish tacos here. Totally worth it. Got the fish tacos as well as a lengua and a chicken taco and they were all good. The lengua was my favorite though, juicy and flavorful. Everything had a bit of spice though, so if you’re sensitive you’ve been warned. Super friendly service too!

Their fish and carne asada tacos are the bomb! Their location is conveniently next to the Home Depot, and they have their own little parking lot too. They are quick and cheap. I’ll have to try some of their other dishes, but their tacos are legit and they give a lot of meat too.

Geez — first Unilocal post, despite having eaten probably over a dozen of my favorite Carne Asada burritos with their lip-smacking salsas and condiments already. Last visit was back on 3÷5÷15. Make sure to get a burrito punch card! Lots of other delicious menu choices, but I always order this since it’s been consistently that good. I’ve eaten at the brick and mortar over by Ballard HS once, but I prefer this particular food truck by the Haller Lake Home Depot. Staff are friendly and super efficient. There’s limited outdoor seating, but they bag up your order complete with napkins, so you can eat in your car, take it back to work, take it home, you’re on your merry way, no worries here. I’ve eaten one entire burrito once(pig!), but usually I’m done in halfway. So this is a bargain for me since it’s two meals in one. Not a gut bomb, but a tasty burrito with fresh, generous ingredients. Just writing this, now I want a carne asada burrito!

Love El Camión! The truck is really close to work so I’ll walk down and get it for lunch. Hailing from sunny southern California, I was spoiled with high quality authentic mexican cuisine. When I moved here, i hadn’t thought how much I’d miss it. Getting this for lunch really hits home for me. Last time I got a burrito con lengua y cabeza. Delicious! The lengua(tongue) was braised just right. Tender and flavorful. The cabeza(head) was also wonderful. Moist and tender, unlike the hard and dry some other places do it. The tortilla is heated right before wrapping too. For under $ 7 for a burrito lunch, and with the generous heapings of meat they put in it, how could it get any better!

I like El Camion. I’ve come here multiple times and have gotten to try their tacos, carne asada plate, mole, as well as civeche. Their tacos are great, lots of meat, fresh veggies on top, and well seasoned. Another go-to is the carne asada plate which comes w/beans, rice, tortillas, a huge chunk of steak, and avocado. The meal is easily stretched into two meals. I like their civeche, but the last time I had it, it was overly salty. However, the portion was generous and it came w/lots of tortilla chips. Service has always been pleasant.

I’ve been here a couple times to snag takeaway en route home. Usually I grab a trio of tacos for me, a torta for the husband, and serve with a big bowl of Juanita’s chips and dinner is set! I realised that I hadn’t written a review for this location so I thought I’d remedy this tonight. A good friend of mine and my husband took a bike ride, culminating in a stop here so I got some tasty food when they returned home! I received a breakfast burrito and one chicken tamale. The burrito could have easily fed two people. I had one half when my friends brought it home and then the other half the next day. It was stuffed with eggs, chunks of ham, and a glorious amount of black beans. Sadly, my tamale wasn’t my favourite thing. It was flavorful and the chicken was good, but overall the masa felt a little too moist. I can’t give them five stars though. My heart belongs to another taco truck who rocks carnitas slightly better.
