The bagels are obviously awesome. The store is also decently maintained. But the service sucks. They did not get our order correct and they did not care much for the customers.

I’m updating my review because I’ve come into this location about a dozen times now. First, I was mistaken in my first review — everything is baked/made on site. The guys that work here are friendly although scattered at times. I saw them unable to locate customers after making their food right after someone ordered, and I think they had the wrong name for the order. I ordered a mushroom, swiss and egg bagel one day and the mushrooms were only on one side. I complained the next time I went in and they didn’t do anything to make up for it. You can get a dozen bagels for $ 6 on Mondays. This neighborhood lacks in parking big time. There is paid parking only in the parking garage in the building or in the garage across the street shared with Whole Foods. It’s not worth the effort to drive here and pay for parking for bagels. Take advantage of their delivery service. Food: 3.5 Service: 2.5 Ambiance: 2 Parking: 1

This review has nothing to do with their product. They have good bagels, they’re round and fluffy and some of them have cheese on them. That’s not the problem. I had the absolute worst catering experience. I am a new assistant for a team of 20 who works at a very large, very tight on security client. I ordered bagels and cream cheese, put instructions online to «Please call me when you get to the lobby» between my 8:30 — 8:45am delivery window and left my cell number. They were early, didn’t call, went to the wrong place, and instead of calling my phone number as written– they go to security, security calls a manager on our floor, they call someone else, all of a sudden 4 different people at the client are involved in this, no one calls me, one of my team members almost gets stuck on the loading dock. And then they forgot the cream cheese. Jesus. So I get upstairs at 8:30 exactly, and five people are talking about the bagel fiasco the new girl got herself into. I apologize, call the bagel place and confirm that my instructions were correct, phone number correct, etc. Then I tell her to not send anyone back out, that I will go and buy cream cheese so the team doesn’t have to wait, and that she can just return that portion to the purchasing card. Super sweet woman, says no problem– sends me on my way. I leave, go to the grocery store, buy cream cheese come back– everyone is finally happy and their mouths are full so they’ re no longer complaining about«Bagel-gate.» Ten minutes later, no F-ing joke– One of the clients comes up– he got a phone call from security(Again, not a call to my cell phone) he proceeds to announce to the 20 person room, «THEBAGELPERSONISHERE!!! THEYHAVECREAMCHEESE!!!» Oh my god. Not okay. Everyone was nice, great bagels, don’t get me wrong here. In most circumstances being early would not be a bad thing. But I can not even describe how mortifying this was. Doing this doesn’t make your catering company look early, it makes me look late. Thank you, Einstein bagels, for making me look like an irresponsible jackass.

Good breakfast sandwiches + schmear. Note: The more whipped, the more delicious.

I keep coming back because I love their healthier breakfast sandwich items. But this location might easily have the worst customer service of any place I’ve ever been to. They can never get an order right, always run out of stuff, and constantly have empty coffee. You’re a bagel shop. How can you run out of coffee? I seldom write bad reviews, but this is around the 20th chance I’ve given them. I ask for no cream cheese schmear and triple check they got the order right and it always comes with it on there. I now check before I leave because I have been on the road and they have gotten my order wrong on many occasions. Who manages this place?

The Apple cinnamon bagel could be evidence that God continues to produce miracles on a daily basis. Toasted with a blueberry Schmeer makes my mouth happy. Arguing employees about whether potato bagels have gluten in them or not does not make me happy. Overall service was decent to me, poor to others and the fantastic exhibition of flavors in my mouth satisfied the hunger in my stomach.

This shop is right below my office and I go often for their nova lox bagel. The staff is literally the nicest and friendliest I have seen anywhere!

I have been a regular for three years and I really love this place. One of the leads got name on this awesome pumpernickel hummus tomato and cucumber bagel, really healthy and super yummy. The staff is super friendly and really work hard!

Einstein Bros. Bagels, the franchise, gets five stars from me. Their bagels are neither too airy nor too dense and the veggies have always been fresh in the locations of three states I’ve been to. I almost immediately gave this particular location five stars after my first visit last Saturday(9÷12÷15) with my husband. It was nearly empty, and at 9:00AM, the relatively young staff was cheerful and worked quickly. My husband and I were handed our sandwiches and my toasted bagel with cream cheese within five minutes of ordering. After reading some negative reviews, I decided to hold off until after a second visit. I came back a couple days later(9÷14÷15) at around 2:30PM, and HOLYCOW. Entirely different staff with an entirely different attitude. First of all, no greeting and no conversation, which is something I really don’t care about, but it’s a noticeable contrast from two days ago. It took them twice the amount of time, at least ten minutes, to make one less sandwich from what I ordered before. I was inspired to write this review by the kid who was supposed to make my sandwich during the second visit. He was a prime product of a term I’d recently learned: Helicopter parenting. After washing my hands and checking on my dog who was tied up outside two times, I returned inside to see him distressed over a partially made bagel sandwich. I thought, «Thank God he’s not making mine.» He put a slice of cheese on the bagel, paused for a good minute, then tried to think about what goes on next. Mind you, he’s standing right in front of the screen that reads what each customer ordered. When he couldn’t figure it out, he walked to the back room for a while and returned empty handed to continue staring at the slice of cheese on the bagel. A coworker approached him, mumbled something containing the word«turkey», tossed the lids off from several ingredients while staring the kid down, and made my Tasty Turkey sandwich and plain bagel with cream cheese within three minutes.(My sandwich shouldn’t have a slice of cheese in it.) Wow. I didn’t want to feel any more awkward, so I fled the scene. I just moved here from a place with a much lower cost of living, but come on. Does this child really deserve $ 15 an hour?

Never have I seen such incompetence in a fast food place. Staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off. People yelling at each other. The«grab and go» bagels were not sliced, so the«skip the line» option took 20 minutes. They broke the handle on my bagel box so that it split open and bagels went all over the sidewalk. Their delays took so much time ok missed the trolkey and had to wait 20 extra minutes outside in the rain. Never ever coming here again.

I am biased. Their«chocolate chip bagel, toasted, with plain cream cheese please» gives me life. I will never be tired of it. Einstein’s can do no wrong in my eyes. Bonus, my family coordinated with them and sent me 2 dozen choc chip bagels at work for my birthday. surprise deliveries? the best.

I don’t know why they’re getting such low reviews here. For the people giving 2 stars for just a «decent» bagel — do you expect each place to have the hands down, best, blow your mind bagel? Their bagels are great. Their breakfast sandwiches are even better — a big, hot made to order sandwich on any bagel you want for about $ 5.50 after tax. That’s pretty rad. The team is awesome and so, so friendly, they always brighten up my morning. Their toppers are pretty great and cheap too.

Cosy place in SLU to have lunch or snack in a business location across from Whole Foods. Gigantic bagel selection! I’m a lover for the Asiago and the 6 cheese bagel, but they have it all, from blueberry to cinnamon/Apple, from chocolate chip to pretzel or anything you can think of, they might have it!!! They have developed a small category of gourmet bagels, maybe this need to expand at some point? The prices are good if you keep it simple with a bagel + drink, but they’re lunch items are indeed pricier than a $ 3 range + drink. I live the huge selection of what they call ‘schmear’ to spread of your toasted bagels. Fresh orange juice and they also have lots of coffees or chais. They also have a very big selection for all kind of food and they’re open all day long from breakfast to early dinner: egg sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and sweet snacks. Staff is absolutely awesome, friendly and if you go regularly, they might remember your name and if you are consistently ordering the same food, they also might remember that too! So yeah staff is awesome globally. This review should be 4.5 stars ideally as of now for me. Would put 5 stars the day they’ll have rewards cards for 10bagels purchased = 1 free like they do for drinks if I remember correctly. Besides that I am a huge lover of Einstein’s for sure :)

Decent, but nothing to write home about. The bagel tasted like a bagel, but not spectacular. Maybe I’m just spoiled, we have great bagels where I’m from. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was kind of bland. The sausage patty was floppy, and it was made with American cheese. Not that appetizing. But it was edible at least. Probably 2 ½ out of 5, but I’m rounding down because the coffee wasn’t very good either.

Stopped in here today to grab a quick lunch after a meeting and was so disappointed! An employee was fixing her hair over the food prep area, which is so so wrong. I had to wait for at least 4 minuted to be acknowledged by a staff member even though I was the only customer waiting for service and, to top it off, I got my sandwich on the wrong bagel and it wasn’t toasted. I’ve been to Einstein Bros on Broadway a number of times and have received superb service every time. I hope these guys get it together!

I rarely give out 5 stars, but honestly, nothing less would do here at Einstein Bagels. The employees are by far the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. They smile and chat and seem to genuinely enjoy working here. The store is clean and has table and bar-height seating with comfy padded stools. I’ve never seen it anything less than sparkling clean. They have punch cards for lunch and breakfast sandwiches, and for drinks. They also have«happy hour» 3pm-close(which is 5pm daily) for half off drinks — including their smoothies(which, by the way, are AWESOME and a major brand name coffee company can’t even come close!) The bagels are fresh and delicious, and their coffee drinks are stellar. This is my new favorite place to go in the morning for my coffee and also for lunch.

Solid 3.5 stars. The lox breakfast bagel was better than expected(quality wise). For a corporate chain, this place nudges higher than average. In addition to being clean and staffed with friendly individuals, Einstein Bros provides a number of bottom-less coffee flavors, and attention-to-detail extras like Sriracha. In sum: a reliable coffee and bagel experience.

The bagels are alright. They aren’t cooked in store, but elsewhere, frozen then baked when they need them. It’s good for a small snack, but when in South Lake Union, there are so many other, more delicious eatables. The employees are alright for the most part, but sometimes when I go there they get into loud arguments and disregard the customers and storm off. Most of them are fairly friendly and actually care. Some of the employees actually know the customers by name. Overall good, but not great. Atmosphere is iffy depending on the employees working. Weekends are slow.

This Einstein Bagels is on my way to work so I stop every day and enjoy my breakfast here. Service is great, Kristin always makes my sandwiches and is amazing at her craft. The staff is just fantastic. Everyone always greets you when you come in it makes you feel like your part of their team! Great for catering if you need lunch or breakfast for your staff at work this is the place to get them breakfast. If you haven’t tried them, you need to.

Nice fresh bagels and warm friendly service. I’ve tried a few variations here and my favorite is still the spicy nacho bagel which is a cheese and jalapeño bagel. Get it with garlic schmear for that extra goodness.
