I am a Seattle native and had a blast on this tour! We learned about the history of the Pike Place Market, sampled delicious foods and had so much fun eating and laughing for 2 hours. Liz did an amazing job, is well informed and articulate and made our tour so special. I have been going to the Pike place market for decades and she showed me many businesses that were treasures I had never seen before.

If you consider yourself a foodie there is no better way to experience Seattle than Eat Seattle Tours. As a long time resident my whole family came down for a friendly cooking competition and scavenger hunt. Owner and Chef Liz McCune and Chefs Wayne Johnson and Suzanne could not have created a more special evening for us. We had fun, we learned a lot, we ate well, we laughed! We will definitely come back and do this again. Rates were palatable and all around great experience!

Liz and her team are top notch. I organized a custom client event with her — a mixology class — and everything from organizing details to the execution was 5 stars. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, takes pride in what she does and is so informative. I’ve been told multiple times that it was the best event they’ve been on in awhile and it was simply cocktails! I’ll be getting together with Liz to plan another event ASAP! Huge huge fan — I highly recommend doing any and every event with Eat Seattle!

I went to this event because my wife likes to cook. I hardly cook anything at home. At first, I was not too interested in shopping at the market, though it is good to know where they buy their food from. But, the cooking part turned out to be quite fun. It has clear instructions and the dessert dish was not hard to make. Liz, the owner, is very friendly and she keeps everyone engaged throughout the process. I enjoy this experience of cooking and socializing.

We went on this tour as a work outing, and it was a lot of fun! I have lived in the Seattle area all my life, but Liz taught me new history about Pike Place. Plus, we learned about selected vendors in the market and got to sample delicious food! Liz was a wonderful & informative guide and I would highly recommend this tour!

If you get a chance to take a food tour around Pike Place Market, do it. It doesn’t matter if you are a chef, a local Seattle foodie or just someone who appreciates food, you’ll find this tour fascinating(and tasty)! Liz is clearly passionate about food and where it comes from. Her knowledge about local foods is endless and her she has a lovely way of passing that passion on through the tour. You’ll get a taste of incredible treats throughout the tour; no spoilers, you just have to try for yourself — but you won’t be disappointed! Hoping to try one of her cooking classes soon.

Our experience with Eat Seattle was fun, casual, and VERYSEATTLE! We met in Pike’s Market Atrium Kitchen and then walked through the market to get ingredients for our cooking class. It was pretty cool to walk through the market, hear about the history, and see where our food would be coming from. We then headed back to the Pike’s Market Atrium Kitchen and the chef and host prepared an amazing meal for us… teaching us along the way. Some of the participants jumped in to help cut veggies and pass food around but we didn’t — we just sat there, ate, and talked! Pros: Quintessential Seattle Activity! Good vibes — fun, casual group(lots of laughter). Beautiful views and activity in the heart of the market. Cons: The Atrium Kitchen is tucked away and can be hard to find. Ask the information kiosk on Pike &1st where it is. Parking can be difficult. Get there early and be prepared to walk. What to wear: Comfortable, casual walking shoes and attire. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a lot of luggage or baggage as there isn’t that much room in the kitchen.

Awesome tour. Have been to Pike Place many times before but barely skimmed the surface of what ES showed me. Your is full of special free samples and extra information behind the history of the market and vendors.

I bought this tour for my dad for Father’s Day. What a fun way to go to Pike Place Market! Both my dad and I love to cook(and eat). In a small group(only four of us) were taken to ten different vendors in the market by chef and owner, Liz. At each stop we got to sample the vendors’ products. Each vendor supports local food made with the environment and our health in mind. Everything was delicious! Liz was knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. Plus, she made delicious Walla Walla onion tarts and Chai pot de cremes for us to eat on our tour. YUM! After the tour she gave us each a card so we could go back and buy things from the vendors at a discount! This tour would be fantastic for locals and tourists. Go! You’ll love it.

Suzanne and Liz have a fantastic working knowledge of food and the art of cooking. The class was a wonderful experience set inside the bustling center that makes up Pike Place Market. We learned plenty creating our recipes, and would certainly do it again. Cannot recommend more.

Had such a great time at the cooking class this past weekend! The tour through the market was very informative and the Atrium kitchen is such a beautiful location for this type of class. Chef Suzanne was very knowledgable and helpful with lots of little tips and tricks. The food we made was very fresh, seasonal and and tasted amazing! I would highly recommend this class to anyone who loves food!

For my birthday my wife organize a tour with Liz. I can’t say enough about how amazing it was. Liz is a very knowledgeable chef and a pleasure to spend time with. I highly recommend taking a tour if you call Seattle home. Celebrate being a tourist in your own city and learn about all that the market has to offer. Liz has great insights and knowledge of food, the market and what is a must see.

My husband and I joined a Eat Seattle Tours cooking class on Saturday and it was so much fun! Our main chef for that days was Suzanne and she did an amazing job on the recipes. I enjoyed scouting through Pike Place Market to pick out fresh ingredients and loved learning about what’s good at each shop. Our menu consists of a summer cocktail, beecher’s cheese puffs amuse bouche, a carrot purée soup as a starter, oil-poached lingcod as the main, and cream puffs with roasted cherries as the dessert. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious, and we learned so much about cooking! Would highly recommend this class to all my foodie friends!!!

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Pike Place Market. My wife and I joined the cooking class, and had a great experience. We started out picking up fresh organic ingredients in the market and Eat Seattle’s own herb garden, then back to the Atrium Kitchen where we learned how to prepare a fantastic 3-course meal. It was delicious and fun!

I learned so much about Pike Place Markets history, saw hidden gems I had never seen before, and tasted delicious foods. I also learned more about sustainable practices from salmon to chocolate. I highly recommend this tour regardless if you are a local, new to the city, or just here for vacation!

Eat Seattle does food tours and cooking classes allows one to obtain a deeper culinary understanding of why the food in Seattle and its farmers are important. It is a unique experience designed for a true foodie, unlike no other, who appreciates local, organic produce and the best flavors of the Northwest. The cooking class dynamic was constructed in a way that allowed the group to learn but also enjoy themselves fully. You learn, you taste, you laugh. Can’t wait to do it again!
