If the smells don’t lure you in then your nose is broken. Half the menu is vegetarian friendly so it’s a dream come true. The veggie chipotle dog is my new boyfriend.

Not as quick as you would think and it’s also a little bit pricey for a hotdog but I suppose that’s just downtown Seattle prices. Good choice if you want something about quicker and like hotdogs.

A very unique take on the Seattle dog, adding cabbage cooked on a griddle. I don’t know how I felt about it. It was different. Didn’t hate it. Didn’t blow me away, though. And at $ 8, it was a bit much for a hot dog that I wasn’t buying at Safeco.

I couldn’t recommend this place more!!! If your looking for an authentic wiener with all the American fixes no need to look any further! The boys running the stand are friendly, happy and know their way around a grill! The buns were toasted to perfection and it made the entire experience superb! If ever I visit Seattle again«Dog In The Park» will be a must!!!

place to grab a snack to eat. Took a while for the hotdog to get ready and it also ended up a little more burnt than it should be but it tasted a little above average. I would suggest you to just skip the regular hot dogs and just go for their specialty hot dogs. Prices could be a little cheaper though, maybe by a dollaroo. I got the turkey dog. They include onions on the side, but I’m not to fancy with the way he cooks the hotdog. He splits them into three slices and I prefer my hot dog in one piece. Pretty much what I ate was stuff I could just cook at home, so I’m not too sure what the big fuss is about. Might just be the specialty hot dog that I didn’t try. Overall, not a bad hot dog stand. Just order the right thing and you won’t regret it.

I’m a Seattleite and this place is kinda nothing special to me. You know, you see it in the corner almost everyday and it’s always the same thing… also usually there are food trucks close by and you might wanna try those instead. Howwwever! I went there today cause I craved for a hot dog with cream cheese on it(Yup, you know better the«Seattle dog»). And somehow the other hot dog places around town is not open today… :(So I got the Seattle dog for $ 7 and just sit in one of those colorful chairs in the westlake park(right next to it… yup that area is a park!). It is NOT the best hot dog I’ve ever had, but it’s good. Lots of cream cheese and good amount of veggies! Just great for this chill and cloudy day. Also the bun is warm and slightly crispy too! Is not some fancy great quality hot dog but good for a casual lunch. I don’t think I recommend this place if you want some good quality hot dog, but if you are nearby and not too hungry and can’t decide what to eat? This might be a place for you!

Seattle dogs a staple of this fine city is a polish sausage layered with sauteed onions and cabbage but the key touch is the cream cheese. Service: The vendor was extremely friendly and couldn’t stop smiling. He loves these dogs with a true passion that a commoner like myself would never understand. Dog: Cream cheese and hotdogs initially sound very good at first but I think the addition of the cabbage ruined it for me. The polish sausage also was wayy too salty for me Overall: I think i’d like to try it again but remove the cabbage. I’m too used to my cabbage pickled and too bitter to add in a hotdog

This is the coolest hot dog place in downtown Seattle. We went twice in two days and the same guy took our order and made our food. He was so nice and very friendly. The second time we went he was eating his dinner behind the stand. As soon as he saw us he set his food down, stood up and said, «how may I help you?» Great service! My boyfriend ordered the chili dog. He is kbsessed with chili dogs and orders one anytime its on the menu. He says they have the best chili dog in Seattle. I ordered the Chipotle veggie(with a veggie dog). It was very spicy, and so good! Definitely worth visiting if you’re downtown!

Seattle Dog is bomb! Veggies cooked when ordered. Added ketchup, mayo, mustard, jalapeño, and relish. Kaboom. One of the best dogs I’ve had.

I wanted something quick for lunch before heading to the airport and settled on a dog from this small stand in the middle of the city. It’s definitely a popular spot amongst locals at lunch as there’s usually always a pretty decent line formed with hungry patrons. I came right before the rush and the queue wasn’t too big. I promptly placed my order and waited. The workers do have this down to a system where they take everyone’s orders so they can start prepping and then just go down the line to collect payment. I think it helped expedite the line significantly. Because everything is made to order on a small grill, it take take a bit to receive your food. I went for the Chicago dog that came with onions, tomatoes, pickles and peppers. It was okay — but don’t think it was worth the $ 7 price tag as the serving was on the small side. I doctored it up with condiments like ketchup and Sriracha to bump up the flavor. It was a good dog, but definitely not even close to one of the best I’ve ever had. I heard everyone ordering the Seattle choice with cream cheese, so maybe I chose the wrong menu item to eat. They have some picnic tables for people to sit at and r koi their food and they put up tents and umbrellas when it rains.

As a vegetarian, I am always looking for a good veggie burger or veggie dog. It’s not just about texture, but it’s about flavor. The veggie chipotle dog at Dog in the Park delivers both! Not only is this the best veggie dog I have ever had, the service is amazing. The guys that run this stand are super sweet and friendly and always make me the perfect veggie dog with a nice toasty bun. I discovered this place back in 2012 when I was in Seattle for the first time, and it was the first place I visited for lunch when I went to Seattle a week ago. The location is great — it’s in a lovely park with water fountains and play areas for kids. Also, I never thought I’d put cream cheese on a veggie dog, I think it’s a Seattle thing, but my husband finally made me try it and I don’t think I’d get it without going forward!

I’m a midwestern girl, hot dogs pulse through my veins — which is probably actually true because I heard a rumor that they’re not the best food for your health. Since you can’t fault them for that, I really have no complaints, only compliments. High points: Location, location, location — across the street from my office. Toppings — hello cream cheese! I’m also a fan of relish and dijon mustard, which they have. They have ketchup too, but please don’t let me see you put that on your hot dog, I might cry now that you’ve ruined your hot dog. The hot dogs — they’re done on the grill, cut in half… and the bun is toasted! Price — a hot dog with chips and a soda is less than $ 8! Bottom line: Yes, you want cream cheese on your hot dog. I don’t care if you’ve never heard of it, you want it. Stop talking about it and just give into the lusciousness… you feel better now, don’t you? Told you so.

This is a review of lunch at Dog in the Park. What can I say? For those of you that reviewed this as the best hot dog you’ve ever had, my heart goes out to you. To be honest, Dog in the Park wouldn’t make it into the Top 100 hot dogs I’ve eaten. I am not even sure it would make the Top 200. Ok, so I’ve eaten a lot of hot dogs and almost all of them were better than Dog in the Park. It just seems like they are a combination of ingredients that come straight from a package. Even then, the bun was dry and cracking. If the chili is «homemade’, they are using a clone recipe for Hormel’s canned chili. We both just had a basic chili dog with cheese. The person that helped us took our order. There were certainly no pleasantries. The food came out relatively quick. It was 5 – 10 minutes. But there had been a lineup and this move pretty fast. There are some small picnic tables nearby. There is also other seating in the square. They have a small condiment section. Overall — Dog in the Park is a basic hot dog stand that, in my opinion, simply doesn’t deliver the goods. I would not consider returning.

I kinda thought of my hot dog as a «fancier version» of Costco. Don’t get me wrong– it was still tasty, but I honestly felt like this was something I could’ve totally grilled at home. My friend and I played it safe and split the large all-beef hot dog, which is basically just 1 ½ hot dogs in a larger bun. It was topped off with grilled veggies(cabbage, bell peppers, onions) and it was incredible as to how amazing of a difference it made. But again, something that I probably could’ve cooked up at home. Nevertheless, it was still very enjoyable! If I’m ever back in Seattle again, I definitely want to try out their other specialties! The reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars instead of 4 is because of the service. There were 2 people working at the time I went and the person grilling was also the one taking orders. He seemed very impatient and almost rude. TL;DR: Food: 4⁄5 — It’s like a place for fancier hot dogs. And you can’t go wrong with that. Service: 3⁄5 Price: $

5 Stars. When in Seattle, get the Seattle Dog! Fresh made-to-order dogs with sauteed veggies. The Seattle Dog came with cream cheese and the veggies on a lightly toasted bun. I added jalapenos, onions, yellow mustard and ketchup. To die for! Who would of thought that cream cheese on a hotdog is would be delicious? Final Thoughts: Fresh quality products make this place a must visit for a hot dog in Seattle. I loved it so much I went back for seconds the same day!

This is a recollection piece rather than a food review. Coming from another country, I lived in Seattle for almost a year and for that period of time, Dog In the Park has always been a sweet memory of mine. Where I came from, hot dogs are actually not that popular. So I had very little of knowledge about it. But one thing I know for sure, Dog in the Park’s food was phenomenal — Tender hot dogs with veggies on top, a little bit of cream cheese, ketchup and mustard. So perfect for Seattle weather. Service was always great and friendly. Prices were reasonable and I got to sit on one of those benches and enjoy. To this day, I still tell my friends here in Arizona about this little hot dog place and how good it was. it’s a must try if you’re in the area. Forget about the fancy restaurants(which you can probably find anywhere) and try this Seattle authentic, iconic Dog in the Park.

My first seattle dog lived up to the hype! Had the Louisiana with cream cheese, onions, and cabbage. Would’ve liked a little more cream cheese on it, but the dog was delicious nonetheless. Also loved that they toasted the bun. We’ll definitely stop again next time we’re downtown.
