I just went to this location and there is a piece of paper on the door that said that this location is now closed :(

Great scenery and open indoor seating. Greeted by Leah with a smile even when she was busy. Leah was very nice and helpful. I dont know much about coffee and I wanted to buy a bag of coffee for my dad which I did with her help. Great service and a great smoothie. I will definitely come back.

Great service, cool décor, local business, and delicious coffee! Avoid the W Seattle Bridge Starbucks and go here. It’s better, I promise.

I really enjoyed our visit here the other day. The atmosphere was enjoyable, I thought that the décor was fun, especially the chandeliers. The coffee was great, I really enjoyed it, perfect temp, perfect foam, and perfect flavors, there was no bitter aftertaste, it was smooth, and just what I look for in a cup of coffee. Parking can be a pain, but I did notice plenty of parking on the street near this shop. Definitely two thumbs up, I’d go there again.

Probably the best coffee shop in West Seattle, at least for my criteria. They have great tasting, affordable coffee with one free refill – this is huge for me. The baristas are always very nice and cool with any special orders or requests to put flyers up on the board. I haven’t had any of the pastries, but they look tasty. They always have pretty solid daily specials too, my wife loves some of the lattes they have there. There’s plenty of tables and space so there’s always a spot open any time of day. The parking is a little scarce but it’s usually not a problem. More people should come here!

This was one of many stops on my tour of the local coffee shops in West Seattle — it was probably one of my favorites thus far. Service is excellent and the staff was knowledgeable and explained some of the food offerings. The peach scone was great as was the egg breakfast sandwich. I ordered a special coffee order and while it was good, it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind — but nonetheless it was not something on the menu so I appreciated the effort. A very relaxing atmosphere as well. I will definitely return.

Good drinks, delicious pastries, and cool vintage/eclectic décor. I had a pleasant time hammering out some work early on a Sunday morning. The wi-fi was fast and there was a steady stream of clientele. I enjoyed the ample natural lighting from the windows in the car garage doors-turned-wall. If we stay within walking distance of this place in the future, I’ll definitely be back. I want to try the Yummly the other reviewers keep talking about.

Best cup of tea with super duper service with a smile from Tannah !!! Glorious space and great attitude. Got a flat tire right in front of the shop and out comes Tannah with a complimentary cup of hot tea for an old man changing a flat tire. Would not take any money, would not take a tip. Just super service and a great attitude !! Thanks Tannah. Breffni

Fresh and delicious fair trade coffees with yummy baked goods. Prices are comparable to the bigger chain coffee shops and a great atmosphere to sit and read while enjoying your wake up drink. Even though I don’t normally stray from regular milk the have every option you could want(soy, rice, etc.). Being right around the corner from where I live doesn’t hurt either. Of particular note, the generra(sp?) is a great sweet treat. Mocha with orange zest!

I stopped by in the evening and there was not many customers. The taste of the coffee was OK and the service was slow. I am guessing this is a better place to stop by in the mornings and the afternoons for commuters. The interior decoration is interesting as the place has antic feeling. The parking is limited but the location is very convinient.

Don’t wait in line at the drive-thru Starbucks down the street. This place has amazing coffee and is worth every penny. Yes, it is more expensive then most coffee shops but the only use fair trade coffee and they take their time brewing your drink with love. If you are in the market for a frap upgrade get the vanilla chumley. It is orgasmic! Seriously ORGASMIC! The chairs are big and comfy. The place is kinda of eclectic and dark and it’s a nice change from the norm. I love coming here to work and just relax. To top this place off there is free parking.

Location location location, nothing else I can’t get over the fact that this place has people sitting inside every time I go there. Coffee is coffee, but this is the most expensive of the 8 different shops on my way to work. I’ve seen my Seattlite 9-syllable order rise from $ 4 to almost $ 6 since the recession started, but Diva is the first place where the price goes above that limit. Insult to injury, the counter is papered with not-funny bummer notes. Today, for instance, there were 3 notes that tell you, each in no less than 60 words of clever but not at all funny quips, that you’re SOL if you lose your coffee card. One has the gaul to not-cleverly tell you to write down the 19-digit serial number on the card. One tells you to read your receipt for each purchase because they’re prone to boning you, and another annoyingly repeats the«don’t lose your card» thing. Then, like icing on insult to injury, there’s a sign to tell you that the prices on their price list are all wrong. Of course, that sign has annoying quips as well. The furniture is gross and uncomfortable too. I don’t know why people go there, besides the fact that it’s the last chance for West Seattle coffee if you’re getting on the bridge. Bottom Line: I’d never say this otherwise, but just go to Starbucks if you need a cup of coffee. This place annoys you before, during, and after you get your drink.

This is my meeting location of choice(assuming I’m able to get friends and colleagues not in West Seattle to come across the West Seattle Bridge). It helps that there’s free parking. I tend to order the ordinary drip coffee, and Diva Espresso has great, tasty coffee(and they’re committed to fair trade to boot). The desserts and pastries are good, but not memorable. The ambience is eclectic and a little unusual(there’s a mannequin in the corner that can’t really be explained), but the service is warm and friendly and the location is convenient to northern West Seattle.

The coffee here is just okay, but good cookies. I have to say, I went to this Diva Espresso in West Seattle for 3+ years straight. The funny thing is that every morning, one of two morning staff would ask me what I wanted, and every single morning, I would order the EXACTSAMETHING. But, for whatever reason, they never seemed to remember or care. After four years, I moved about 5 blocks north and started stopping by Hotwire. They actually remember my name and drinks at Hotwire. I never knew that it could be this way. Long story short, there are much better places to get your morning coffee.

Great dirty soy chai tea lattes. My bro picked one up for me every morning this week, so I’ve been hooked even before dropping in… Lots of space inside to chill & read the paper this morning. Easier walk up access than drive, as it is located in the middle of the block on a busy street. Nice décor, cool way to covert an old gas station.

i judge coffee shop on the vanilla soy lattes! They passed with flying color — i don’t think i ever finished a cup. I’m a person who loves the smell of coffee more than actually drinking the stuff… but i down that cup of latte from Diva. a fan!

The coffee here is delicious. I’m a drip coffee kind of person, so I really value some good, non-burnt coffee. The service was great and both ladies were really generous. There’s free wifi here and parking, but unfortunately, I live too far away to come here on a normal basis. Overall the ambiance is just ok. This is what I would subtract a star for. Yes the building has character, but inside it’s really dark and almost borderline creepy. I like drinking my coffee in happy places.

You I love the Diva and the Diva’s at the Diva. The upfront parking can be a bit skinny if crowded, but not enough to dissuade a stop in there. I don’t know what it is, but it seems their milk has a unique texture that I love… maybe I’m crazy, but there is something. I like how they have the inside done up like a shab colonial or Victorian style. It has it’s charm plus it’s cozy, yet roomie. I usually get the Mocha Valencia and a currant scone, or just drip, cream and sweeter if I’m being good. I’m not living in WS anymore, but when I stroll through, I always stop in. You should too :)

I am on an eternal search for coffee shops that have the following requirements; not Starbucks or any other big corporation!, a cozy atmosphere, good coffee, some sort of breakfast option aside from a crusty muffin, has wifi, and is quiet!(Im working on my dissertation) Diva fulfills most of my requirements, yay! This location is super cute and has both tables and comfy chairs in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Their coffee is good and they have bagels, so that is somewhat in the middle of my «crusty muffin to awesome breakfast sandwiches» continuum. My only complaint is that the noise level is really variable. I can go in there and get on a good roll with«dissertating» and then suddenly it is a mad house of people chattering and having meetings! I know this isn’t the fault of the coffee shop itself, but still its a knock down on my search for the perfect coffee shop.

In my hunt to avoid the dreaded Starbucks at ALL costs, I’ve realized that Diva is the best coffee spot in West Seattle, hands down. The staff is friendly, the drinks are affordable, and the location is unique! I’m a boring coffee drinker(usually an Iced Americano girl) but you would be surprised how many places can’t even make such an easy drink. Diva is the first place I’ve found that by the time I get home, there is still ice in my cup because the drink hasn’t totally melted. It’s amazing. I’m really excited to hear that they will be recycling and composting now too!(You can even take their left over coffee grounds home for your garden!) Kudos.
