let’s just start with that name i mean damn it’s fun just to recommend this place to your friends and have you all try to pronounce it really just a warm friendly vibe, and they sell beers by the liter. believe me man, nothing feels better than going for a cheers! with a LITER of beer in your hand the server getting our checks got pretty distracted by two girls making out but who can blame him honestly

Super fun German pub! Bartenders – Ashley and Charley were amazing, warm hearted people with a great spirit. Bf and I were in Seattle for a few days and we stumbled upon this bar and its chill and had awesome beer. Definitely coming back!!!

I absolutely love this place. it’s a wonderful place to just relax and enjoy the environment around you, and their beer selection is pretty awesome. they also have a damn good food menu. we ordered the wurst platter with kraut, and it was totally satisfying! it was so good that we wanted to try something else, so we ordered the cheese pretzels, which was just as good, and served nice and hot! the bartenders were also super friendly and made the night really enjoyable! overall, a great place for food and drinks, and it doesn’t get too crowded. will be back!

There was only one person working when we stopped by on a Monday evening. He seemed to manage well, but when he said our food would take a bit since he was also working the kitchen, I felt bad that they were understaffed. The atmosphere and beer were great. It felt like a café with large windows letting in lots of light. Big tables are great for bigger groups. They have games that you can pick from and play near the bar. We ordered a wurst plate with one bockwurst and one bratwurst by the bartender’s recommendation. It came with a huge pile of sauerkraut, stone ground mustard, honey dijon mustard, curry ketchup, and two thin half slices of rye bread. The kraut was warm and had mustard seeds throughout. I learned that I am NOT a fan of authentic German food. I’m pretty sure they couldn’t change anything about the preparation of the dish to make me like it more. The wursts were great but the sides were not my thing. I’d love to come back for more games and drinks, and I’d be willing to try some of their safer options on the menu(sandwiches, pretzels, etc.)

This place is great for large groups. Big tables and bar games lets a night with old or new friends. The staff was wonderful in helping choose the perfect beer. They gave samples until we knew which we wanted. Also they have the boot to drink from if you or your friends are interested. A must for a weekend outing with a big group.

Nice neighborhood bar with a German theme that has European style community tables and a nice old world vibe. I really liked the relaxed atmosphere and was really an easy place to relax and have a good beer(all German beers). The server was really easy to chat with as we discussed what beer would be to my taste, ended up trying 2 – 3 tastes before settling on one of the darker stouts. We ended up drinking the most expensive pour, but it was well worth it. I will definitely be coming by here again and get my ticket punched as they have a punch card where you can get some cool prizes, mugs, etc…

Die Bierstube is a cute reminder of Bayern, but misses a few important things. As a bar, it may a get a better review, but we got dinner, so my rating will reflect that experience. Though the place is small, I found it odd that the only server was also the bar tender. She got the job done, for sure, but it was less a «dine-in» experience, and more of a «what can I get you? here you go» type of service. I didn’t mind that, and my score doesn’t reflect that, but it’s something to have in mind. The bar has a good variety, with tasty Weiß Biers and some stronger stuff to send it home. The Bärenjäger was fantastic — smooth, thick honey with a burning bite. I highly recommend if you need some warming up. For food we ordered the Käse Bretzel, which was good — like something you’d get in a tent at Oktoberfest. We also got the Wurst platter, which came with three sausages, two slices of bread, sauerkraut, and two mustards. Here’s the biggest dent in my rating: the sausages were so-so(the chicken being best, which is a bummer for a German place), the kraut was good, but didn’t have the punch to keep my attention the whole«meal,» the bread was good, but tiny(even for German bread), and the price was way too high for what we got. That plate alone was something like $ 14. I think that’s too much for three sausages that someone in back warmed up and plated. Long story short: if you want drinks, there are some German-like snacks here, and it’s worth checking out. If you want dinner, go somewhere else. I had to make something when I got home because I was still hungry. I’ve never had that experience with German food.

This place is always spectacular. You rarely have to wait to get seating, servers are very knowledgeable about the beers they have available, and the ambiance is perfectly what you’d expect from a German bar. It has basic bar food(sandwiches, soup, pretzels), but beer in some great sizes to match your thirst. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, since it’s in a narrow neighborhood that only has paid street parking(until 8:00pm, then it’s free), but if you’re willing to walk a block or two, you can usually find parking.

Great little German place! Friendly staff and local crowd. I went on a Tuesday evening alone and enjoyed a brew, some small talk, and was able to read a book without feeling rude. I certainly plan to return soon!

3.5 for beers. Hacker pshorr Weiss is a tasty summer beer. sausages were good. I didn’t like the brat– wasn’t warmed enough. The polish and the hot cheese sausage were delicious. Got the 3 sausage plate to share. The bretzel was ridiculously small and dry for $ 4.50. sort of wrong. mustard and kraut great compliments. just two door down from work out studio which is dangerous. But why work out if not for beer and sausages?! Service is fine. The woman working that night was friendly fast and efficient.

Raddlermass!!! Not on the menu, but they made me one with a pilsner and a grapefruit San Pellegrino… best raddler ever.

Awesome bartender/owner. Great beer, fun drinks. Make sure to get the house infused whiskey… it’s unreal. Worth the trip from anywhere in the Seattle/Tacoma/Western Washington area. The food is traditional German, and is on point, fairly priced, and delicious. Really fantastic place with a great attitude, atmosphere, and menu.

The beer was delicious and the selection was small but well rounded. I lived in Germany and I would say the food was authentic and delicious! The service while a bit on the slow side was extremely friendly!

Great atmosphere, good service. Darts were fun and beer was good. We just didn’t like the pretzel, it wasn’t homemade and tasted old after about 10 seconds.

Nice selection of German beers. Real Stein(pottery mugs) and wheat beer glasses. Decent basic German food selection. However, don’t tell them about spelling errors on the menu — you’ll find few but … — because somebody can get annoyed.

I’ve come into Die BierStube a couple times a year for the past five years, and I’ve always had a pleasant time. The bartenders are always friendly, they have a variety of tasty beers and foods, and it’s a nice space to hang out with friends. One of the last times I went in, there was a great bartender who could see the indecisiveness glint in my eyes, and brought me two beer tastes, both of which were enjoyable. He also made me a Manhattan with their infused whisky and HOLYDELICIOUS! I highly recommend trying one. It was even neat watching him make it because it looked sort of like he was doing a science experiment… making a concoction, I suppose.

Great spot to grab a drink after work or on a weekend night. The staff is always fantastic, bar is always clean and they have a great selection of German beers on tap. I suggest you round up a group of 3 – 4 friends and conquer a couple boots before the night ends.

Good beer. Went for a small bar run around U District/Roosevelt. Good noise level, don’t need to yell over the music. Then again I went on a Wednesday evening.

First of all there’s just something so right about sausage and beer. Second, our server was awesome. We came in with a group of 11 and Elise took our orders super quickly without writing anything down and got it all right. She was great all night checking in and keeping up with our orders. Finally, the manager, Kessler is rad and super friendly and made sure to check in with us throughout the night as well :)

Giant beers, brats, mustard and pretzels. Pretty damn hard to beat. The beers are great, the liter quantity is great and the different wursts are delicious. The bar staff was very nice and friendly. I should really come here more often.

The service here is terrible. Sure, they are quick to get an initial order and serve a drink, but if you need anything else make sure you have a large dose of patience. Or be willing to not just flag down a passing waitperson(they never pass!) but be willing to interrupt a very intense gossiping session being held behind the bar to get some service. After coming here regularly for several months, I’ve had enough. Especially when they yelled that I hadn’t paid my bill as I was leaving. The cash was on the table. Was it my fault that they never came by in the over 40 minutes I was there? Sorry you had to stop gossiping to chase after me. If only they had paid that much attention when I was trying to get the check to pay. Lost my business. Won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

My go to spot for a beer! Get das boot if you dare, but the liters are plenty large. As a huge German Weiss beer fan, this is my go to for a good beer. Plus, they have great TVs if you’re trying to catch the game. Atlantic Crossing(up the street) only shows Barclays Premier League, but you can see almost any European game here! Highly recommended, bartenders are super friendly too!

I came here with my runner fellows after a couple laps around Greenlake. It’s in Ravenna/Roosevelt neighborhood. There’s street parking available. I was able to park about a block away. During OctFest, they have a special beer menu. Hm… I wish I remembered what beer I ordered. But, the name is too complicated :-P Regardless, I am officially in love with this place. They have the kind of beers I like. In addition, the seasonal pumpkin cider was really good. I was hungry for sausage. But, I didn’t want to order the huge platter for myself. Therefore, the bartender recommended me smoked sausage($ 3) with German mustard. I was very happy! I would love to come here more and try their beers and different food in the menu.
