I’m a three-​time Joshua enthusiast. He’s like my Hair Whisperer, and no matter what I go in there wanting, I’m always better off just shutting up and listening to him, because he always seems to know better than I do what will look best. He does wonders with balayage and (very subtle) ombré; it just always looks like you just have Lucky Hair™, which I do not. Except right after a visit to him. Sometimes I go in there saying, «Make it really dark up top» and he’ll say, «Hmmm…well it’s almost summer…» and now I know enough to just go, «Yeah yeah, never mind, just do what is empirically best.» And he does.
It’s not that he won’t give you precisely what you want — if that’s what you want. It’s just that he has those kind of opinions that you get from years of experience. He’s double threat: great technique coupled with great taste. And that means he just MAY see you more objectively and constructively than you see yourself. Sometimes I think we don’t see ourselves, don’t really know what our best light even is — all that clearly because we’re so entrenched in it, and our experiences have really shaped our preferences. That means our preferences MAY be a little tired, a little outdated, or based on perceived flaws (or, hell, maybe even perceived assets) that less subjective beholders don’t register. I guess another way to say this is that his opinion is straight-​up trustworthy. If you’re feeling at a loss or in a rut, I think he’s a great guy to see.

Paige did an amazing job cutting my hair! I also opted to get the conditioning hair treatment and wow! It was worth it!!! I got my hair cut a week ago and my hair is still super shiny and softer than it’s ever been! Thank you! I will definitely be back for my next hair cut. :)

Booked an appointment with Paige for a hair cut, she listened to what I told her I wanted, and I LOVE the cut. I will be going back to her for hair color also.
As long as I am in Seattle she will be my go to stylist.

Paige is friggin awesome. She gave me a great haircut and was super fun to chat with. I also appreciated that she was attentive and checked if I liked my length after drying my hair, and took the time to make it a little shorter per my request. The price is also very reasonable. Lately it’s been hard for me to find a good haircut under $ 70, but my cut was amazing and around $ 40 with Paige. LOVE this place!!!

First time at the salon and Paige was absolutely amazing! She completely transformed my hair and even took time to teach me how to style it. It was by far the best hair cut/​style/​color I’ve ever had! I highly recommend!

My first time at Fix Salon was this past week. I saw Paige and she did a phenomenal job. She put life back into my neglected locks. Oh, and did I mention it was incredibly priced? Highly recommend.

Team Joshua! I am the newest enthusiastic member. He took my poor, neglected, sad hair and brought it back to life. He knows how to shape it so it cooperates in every direction, and totally understands my budget concerns when it comes to products and other services. He’s great to talk to, super interesting, super talented, and just plain super super! I’ve got my Seattle salon/​hair stylist now, and I couldn’t be more pleased. :)

I saw Paige for the first time and I gave her quite the task! My hair needed a total remodel and although there were some bumps along the way she was always so encouraging and thoughtful. It took a lot longer than I thought it would but they were super flexible with me and gave me a great deal. I’ll definitely go back and see Paige!

I’ve been coming to Joshua at Fix since September, when I moved to the Green Lake area. Joshua does an amazing job with coloring and cutting my hair, and always listens to my concerns (I’m paranoid about color build up, and I want to make sure that I choose shades that suit my complexion). Joshua is sweet and easy to talk to, and is a wonderful stylist. His prices are very reasonable, especially for the area. I’ve had my hair done in a range of upscale salons, but Fix has by far been the best experience and provides the outcome that I want.

This was my first time at the salon; it was great! All the employees were friendly and welcoming. Mandy was my stylist; she listened to what I wanted, and also gave me her own input. She was attentive and thorough, and checked with me before taking more length off/​adding more layers. She is very skilled; I am so happy with my haircut. I will definitely be back. love! Just had my first cut and color at Fix Salon and it was fantastic. This place just became my regular salon, just like that. I moved here a couple years ago and just couldn’t find the right fit. Relieved to have found such a great salon. Perfect cut, perfect color.

I went here for my first time yesterday being nervous trying out a new salon in a new city and Joshua made me feel completely comfortable. I love how he explains what the process will be for what I want done. He truly transformed my hair into looking beautiful and healthy again. I definitely will be recommending my friends to this place. I have found my new salon and will be coming back again!

Manda is amazing! I came to this salon because it was in my neighborhood and it had great reviews. I am very picky as I have thin hair that doesn’t take well to styles. I hadn’t had a color in years and was gun shy about committing back to the coloring grind. Manda encouraged me to get a new cut and blonded up my hair. I have never been so pleased with both, in my hair career. I looked so much better! She did the color in a way that I don’t have that horrible grow out line that you get in a coulple months, especially with blonde. I liked it so much that I took my 9 year old daughter here for her 1^st real professional cut. She made my daughter feel so comfortable. She did color highlights in my daughters hair that were age appropriate and spent a great deal of time with it. It looked great! I would recommend this salon to anyone and the prices were great!

Fix Salon in the Roosevelt District – I’ve gotten great cuts here for years. from Mandy McCullough, the owner of the salon. Sometimes I come in with ideas about what might work for my particular hair texture and length, and Mandy always has the right advice, backed up by both the talent and skill to give me the look I want in a way that’s better than what i thought would work.
The customer service is very good, as well.

It was my first time here and I will surely be coming back! Manda did my hair and she was amazing! I showed her a couple of inspiration pictures and she was able to marry the two looks together perfectly! She knew what I wanted before I did!

Andrea has been doing my hair since I was 12, and now even at 21 and going to school in a different state I wouldn’t see anyone else. No matter what I have requested, Andrea has always cut and colored my hair in a way that is natural and flattering. My mom has also been a long time client of Andrea’s and we can’t recommend her enough!

Go see Karen at Fix for someone who’s great at hearing and understanding what you want and making it happen. She’s very stylish and on trend, with lots of great ideas, but will also let you go with the tried
and true if that’s your preference. Plus, she’s great company!

Mandy is Über talented, and is always on the cutting edge with hair trends. I really like that she frequently attends hair shows to always be a few steps ahead of what’s next. She has taken me from short to long and layered, and many pretty colors of brown to ombré. If you want five star attention and leave with the look that a seasoned stylist took care of your locks, make an appointment with her… she’s it! Also, Plan ahead and be patient if she can’t get you in right away, it will be worth wait– promise!

If you are looking for an amazing cut with a friendly and intimate experience– look no further than Karen at Fix Salon! I have extremely difficult curly hair that I have fought for years. I went in to see Karen and explained to her my situation: I was looking for a way to wear my hair down for the first time, curly (not blow dried straight) that still let me look professional (i.e. not like a poodle). Not only did she give me an amazing cut (and smoothing treatment), but she also gave me a tutorial on how to style it (curly) myself! She offered me products, but did not push them in an unnatural way. She was all around outstanding. Also, you work with her directly to schedule appointments so although she has a set schedule, she is also willing to be flexible to YOUR schedule. Amazing. GO SEE KAREN! You won’t regret it. :)

I’m pretty excited about Fix. It’s so remarkably hard to find a stylist that has technique, taste, and the ability to match that up with the personal style, face shape, personality, etc. of their client.
Mandy recently cut my hair and she did an amazing job — she listened to what I wanted, gave me thoughtful insight and commentary on what she thought would work best, and performed — checking along the way to make sure it was all going as planned.
My friends are jealy… !
