Great great great work. Tom and Steve worked with us fixing our basically new car that someone backed into. They used original parts, worked with our insurance company l, guided us through the process and loaned us a car while they did the work. On top of it all, they did a fantastic job. I looked all over the car and haven’t found anything that I dislike about this repair.

I walked into this place without an appointment and asked a gentleman working there if he could help me loosen some very stubborn nuts on a strut bar in my wife’s car. He walked about a block to get to the dead car, loosened the nuts, and refused to accept any money from me.
Says something about the place!

I have had a few cars worked on in various body shops around Seattle. DeGrazia have worked on two vehicles for me over the last twelve months and have done high quality work on both occasions. I feel like this is the shop I will always use from now on. Superb customer service and outstanding workmanship. They definitely take pride in what they do and how they do it.

I am retired, and have only had one new vehicle in my entire life. It cost me a lot for my blue collar wage back when I bought it. I actually drove it off the showroom floor, which made it even more special to me. One day I got a bit too close to a hose bib (which is in a really bad spot!). I heard it touching the hose, and stopped! Luckily it was only the hose, and no damage! Whew! I turned the wheel to back away from it, but when I did, it also tilted the car toward the bib and guess what @#$%! A nice scratch in the fender lip! I was sick! I had painted a few show quality cars back in the day, so I attempted to repair it myself with factory touch up paint. After all, it was just a smallish scratch. The repair was flawless, except that the paint match was horrible! After three attempts, I threw in the towel, and took it to Degrazias. As far as body shops go, they were the best!
It was on a Monday, and I have never seen the place so busy! They were swamped! There was no room to park in their lot, nor anywhere to sit in the waiting room! You would have thought there must have been a huge snow storm over the weekend! This should have been I sign to bring it back another time, but I left it. I talked to Tom the owner and told him the story, and begged him to make it perfect. I told him I would even pay more if I had to. I just had to forget that I ever damaged the car in the first place! Tom told me it should be done by Thursday. They gave me a free loaner, which was nice of them. Kind of a POS, and it leaked oil in my driveway, but it was free.
Tuesday I get a call and message that said my car was ready! They were swamped, I was told Thursday, and in less than 24hrs my car is done?! I go to pick it up, and I thought it looked good, their work always has! However, it’s metallic, and looks different in different lighting, more later. When out on the street where the car was parked, I smelled STRONG paint fumes coming from the shop, and thought that was strange in this day and age of environmental regulations and controls, and the fact they are surrounded by apartment buildings! Anyhow, I take it home, and take a good look and I see some strange haze on top of the fender! With a closer look, I also see what appears to be a void left by a piece of dust that was on the upper edge of the top of the fender. Not only that, it looked like they tried to sand it out and went thru the new paint, and then gave up! Why there would be new paint (besides clear coat) way up there far from the scratch is beyond me! I sent them an email with pictures, but they claim they couldn’t see it, and told me to bring it back by, which I did.
Steve the manager, Tom, and the painter come out to look at it. The painter says, «Yeah, I saw that flaw, and there is another down here too!» WTF?! He was right, there was another too! I begged for perfection, I said I would even pay more if I had to (And they are, or at least, were capable of perfection!)! The painter knew there were flaws, but they still chose to send me down the road with them, all in under 24hrs! Anyhow, they told me to bring it back in again, which I did.
This time they had no loaner, but Tom’s wife (I forgot her name), was kind enough to drive me home. They call me the next day (I think), and tell me that they will have to paint onto the hood to blend it in! Now, this was a small scratch on the fender lip, and now we are going to paint the hood?! Where does it end?! I might as well of gone to Earl Scheib! I tell them I will come get the car, and that’s probably what they wanted.
The more I think about it, this is what I believe happened. They were swamped, rushed it out, and painted it outside of the paint booth (Totally wrong, and illegal, but Boeing does it all the time too!) and body shops are full of dust, so no wonder! And that explains why I got the strong paint fumes way out on the street. I now believe where they sanded thru, was just in the clear coat, and there probably wasn’t any new paint added way up there. The haze on top of the fender, I am not sure about, but maybe it was just light on clear coat? They didn’t offer a refund, not even a partial refund, nor apology. They did however, ask me to write a positive Unilocal review and they would give me $ 50 off my next job! Asking for a review by the way, is, I believe against the Unilocal guidelines. I feel this is a positive review, because it’s getting it off my chest, and may help others. And I have to agree with one of the other reviewers about Steve. Super nice guy, that is, as long as things are going his way. If not, he can really cop an attitude! And, I think they could have handled my job way better! After all, they knew it was flawed! So, not that they are that bad, they are just not what the used to be. And if you are looking for perfection, might want to look elsewhere! Sorry for the book! Happy New Year!

I love this place and have been coming to see Steve for years, with my old crappy honda civic. They always do right by me. Fair quotes, faster than normal repair times. Free loaner car to get me through. This company is very considerate and kind. They treat customers like neighbors and good friends. They remember me after having not been there in years and I will continue to send business their way! GREAT WORK DEGRAZIAS! they do the best work… flawless.

These guys got my car fixed in a very reasonable amount of time. They took care of all the insurance issues and even washed it when done (which was not even required). They even provided a loaner car.

If you have an emotional attachment to your car you will understand how heart broken I was when some idiot crashed into my BMW.
It being a German car I had a feeling it would be harder to repair and I wanted to take it to the best place I could find. I went to my Mechanic (German Auto Center, only place I will take my car) and got a recommendation.
I took the car in and they were very helpful.
It wasn’t until later that 3 friends of mine all had their cars repaired at Degrazias and also recommended them to me. So I was feeling good.
Now here is what I really appreciated, they dealt with the insurance company! The insurance company wanted to give me used parts, and Degrazias wouldn’t permit it. They fought long and hard and eventually my car ended up with all new parts from Germany. I got it back in better condition then before the crash.
Now onto the second time I brought my car in. A friend of mine had scratched the hood of my trunk. So they fixed it up perfectly and even free of charged did a little fix up on my bumper that had some dings.
The quality of this place is unbelievable and on top of that they are incredible friendly, wouldnt take my car any where else!

This is really another confirmation of my original review, this time with my newer vehicle.
This happened about a year ago when my TSX was hit by a hit-​and-​run driver at a parking lot (see photos for a silver TSX). Front quarter panel was severely dented, the alignment was off etc etc. I knew it was my then girlfriend’s neighbor who did it, but I had no proof. To say the least, I was quite unhappy about the situation.
Based on the previous experience, I took it back to DeGrazia and had it checked out. The experience was identical to the first. They advocated for me on my behalf to the insurance adjuster, and got it all fixed up in less than a week. The workmanship was great, and they took the time to even replace a lightbulb that probably was broken by the impact.
Once again, they did a great job, and turned a aggravating experience into a tolerable one. The impact on my life was very minimal, once again.
And once again, I’d recommend them, wholeheartedly.
FYI, in Washington State, you can choose whichever shop you want to fix your car. By law, you do NOT need to use any «approved» list of the insurance companies. Just pick the best, and have them deal with it.

I had a small ding on my rear bumper from a read-​end accident. I took it to degrazia’s and they made my car look brand new! They even washed the whole car and took off some marks on my fenders. Steve was very helpful, friendly, and committed to helping out the customers. I recommend going here for great customer service and great job done on your car.

We’ve had our cars repaired at DeGrazia 3 times over the past 5 years. They are professional, easy to work with, and do outstanding work. Highly recommended.

I have gotten the best service here of any mechanic or body shop I have ever used, and at age 72, I have used quite a few. Everyone was friendly and knowledgable. The first time I went there with body damage from a hit and run, I noticed how much more thorough, the estimate inspection was than at other places. Some months later, my car was hit again, and this time was ultimately totaled by the insurance company. Steve at De Grazia’s explained to me in detail how the insurance company calculated the damage and how they decided what to pay me for my car. Then he inspected several cars that I was considering to let me know if they were worth the money. I even got to rent a van from the shop while looking for a new car. All in all, one of the best experiences, I have ever had re cars.

A couple of months ago I was rear ended at a stoplight and I took my car to DeGrazia’s for repairs. Over the course of the next couple of weeks they kept me in the loop as to progress, and all phone calls were returned promptly. I had told them to take their time as to not rush the work (although I needed it within a month to take to a local car show), but I was glad to finally get my car back when it was all over. Upon picking up the car, I walked around and inspected the work. Overall the paintwork and color matching was good, but I noticed a couple of little things. First, the trim rails on the roof were loose. There was paint on the exhaust. The car had been washed, but there were big dirty footprints on the floormat. At the car show a couple of days later I was able to get the car into the sunlight and really examine the work. Both sides of the car had huge swirl marks in the newly painted areas, as if they didn’t finish the final step of buffing. Also, the CD player no longer worked. The trunk was misaligned, as one side was sitting higher than the other and the panel gaps were inconsistent. A few days later one of the rear taillights went out, the culprit was loose plastic in the light assembly that was touching a brake bulb and eventually caused it to burn out.
It took nearly two weeks to get the car back in to the shop, because they were ‘ordering parts’ or didn’t have time to get me in. The response time and communication by DeGrazias was noticably different during this time. When they were initially doing the work they called me regularly to keep me updated on progress. Now I was the one who had to call them just to get updates on what was going on. The delay was somewhat suspect to me since I had called two dealerships in town to see how long the order time was for the parts, and they said 1 – 2 days. I took the car in, and walked them through all the things I wanted fixed: buff out the paint swirls, install a new cd changer, fix the roof rails, replace the taillight, align the trunk, and take off the paint from the exhaust. Since it was their responsibility (and insurance wouldn’t cover it if I did the repairs), I took it back to DeGrazia’s. Later that afternoon I got a call saying that everything was fixed. I asked if they got the taillight issue taken care of, and after a short pause, Steve, the person I spoke with said that they had forgot about that, and that I could just stop by some other time and they’d install it while I waited. After work I went to pick up the car, and noticed that the roof rails were still loose, and the paint spot was still on the exhaust. I pointed them out to Steve, and he said the clips were ‘on order’ and then went and got the paint taken care of. So when he had called me saying «everything was done», what he meant to say was that out of all the things they had to do, they really only did two of them. Once again they had dish soap washed my car, thus removing more of the wax, but at least this time there were no footprints on the floormat. When I got home and installed some CD’s in the new changer, it had been installed backwards. And there were still some minor swirl marks in the paint. It took another two weeks for them to find time to get me into the shop for a third time, and I very clearly went over the things I wanted fixed: replace the taillight, fix the roof rails, fix the CD changer, and align the trunk, which still wasn’t sitting correctly. At the end of the day I picked up the car (again dish soap washed), and went over everything. CD changer was installed correctly, there was a new taillight, the trunk was sitting better, but the roof rails had gaps and were sitting crooked. When I pointed that out to Steve, he simply said ‘that’s how it is’ and that the clips were new. At this point I told him I wanted to talk with the owner Tom, but he wasn’t around. Steve said he’d have him call me, but as you can imagine, I never got that phone call. You can imagine how frustrated I was at this point, so I got into the car and drove off. Once again, there were big dirty footprints on the floormat. The entire car now needs a good polishing and fresh coat of wax, which I will do myself once the paint has fully cured. In the meantime I am shopping around for another shop to complete the seemingly simple task of correctly installing the roof rails.
In summary where they really failed was the amazingly sloppy detail work and quality control. Nobody should have to take their car in three times (and counting) to get everything right. I’m saddened by this experience because I feel like I can no longer trust them, and I certainly won’t be recommending them to any of my friends anytime in the future.
Update: I fixed the roof rails myself… they left four broken clips in and installed 2 new ones incorrectly. I removed the broken ones and installed 2 more new clips the right way. I am never going back to DeGrazias.

Came in with a very small job for them (help fixing a broken sunroof) but they treated me great, got the job done quickly and at a reasonable price. Great customer service and excellent work.

I was calling around to get some basic info and pricing on body repairs. The man who answered the phone was very rude and short, not helpful at all as if he didnt want my business. I was hung up on after my first question… how about that for customer service! Try looking elsewhere before considering this place.

Somewhat long story made short. Last winter snow I get a call from building security at my job telling me that my car was hit. And that the guy who hit me was waiting in the lobby. Dude tells me that after giving my front driver’s-side quarter the Crunch n’ Munch treatment, he left me a note and drove to some appointment he had. Came back with the insurance info (not his car) and had security look me up. Then, as I took down the insurance details he changed my tire for my hassle. All within about 2 hours time.
I tell you that because I wish nothing but good karma and Sunday driving for that dude. A stand-​up man fo’ sho’.
Anyway, Degrazia’s did the repairs. I have no idea what the whole deal cost since insurance was paying, but I’m sure it wasn’t cheap. Degrazia’s handled all the details (body work, estimates, insurance, car rental, etc.) and got me back in my car in about 10 days. They even let me return it to redo the alignment (which was done, but not to my satisfaction, at the Toyota dealership down the street) a week later.
Great customer service. Kept me informed on progress every 2 – 3 days. Drove me to the rental place. And would have taking me to Toyota to fix my alignment if I wanted to.
