3.5 stars for a solid, delicious and quick bagel solution within stupid-close walking distance! As I’m sure you can guess by now, this Cherry St. location is close to me, which makes it ultra convenient. And while I’ve never had coffee here, their bagels have been life-savers on more than one occasion. My go-to order is an everything bagel, toasted, with cream cheese and sliced tomato. My guy gets the bagel with lox, which comes with all the fixings. They also have a cooler full of Odwalla juices, which is great – but pricey. The bagels themselves are pretty tasty. The café has them in bags, so I can tell they aren’t made there in house. However, I’m not sure where the bagels are from. What sucks is that the supply is limited. I’ve been in line twice before when someone before me order the last bagel. Boo. So, I call ahead to make sure they have what I’m looking for in stock. The café is always busy, but the gals working there seem to get through the orders pretty quickly. I’m sure I’ll eventually try the sandwiches and salads, but for now, this is a great stop for a quick bagel.

Easy to find. Great food! Had an amazing tomato, basil, egg bagel for breakfast. Very rustic but with an urban atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They bring the food to your table. The coffee was amazing.

Coffee was fine, location is cool, staff was meh… Guy that took my order was a downtrodden sort, certainly not excited to represent the brand. I politely expressed that I’d like my drink in a real ceramic cup, and that I’d love it if they could pre-heat the cup with hot water, so that it was piping hot. His response was, «uhhh…ok». Then barista girl(don’t know her name, was working at 4pm on 4÷4÷2016) chimed in, «…the cups are on top of the machine, they’re already hot»; essentially refusing my request. So, I had to walk over to her and politely repeat my request, her response was, «uhhh…ok». Listen, I was a food server for 25+ years, this business is ALLABOUT being super cool and accommodating to guest requests! Coffee is coffee and can be had anywhere, it’s the experience that counts.

Absolutely fantastic cappuccino and mocha made our morning great. Barista who took our order had what appeared to be a trainee behind the counter with her — trainee started moving towards the espresso machine and asked if the cappuccino was a 12oz. She got rebuffed by the barista(for one thing, they properly only serve cappuccinos as 8oz drinks), and was told not to worry about making drinks until she’d had a little more experience. Barista proceeded to make our drinks herself, and both were perfect — velvety soft foam with perfectly pulled shots in all the right proportions.

We had a great little lunch at Cherry Street Coffee House. They have vegan selections and are happy to special order. We had falafels, a black bean soup and some salad. They make a delicious mocha coffee too. This location has an interesting downstairs dining room with an office in a walk in safe. Overall, very enjoyable dining and i highly recommend you give cherry street a try.

Yummy coffee, good pricing, and extra friendly barista = recipe for my favorite coffee shops. The line was quite long when we walked in, but we didn’t mind too much because the previous reviews said this place is legit. So we stick it out. Plus, we weren’t in a hurry! The barista was apologetic about the long line and was really quick with getting our drinks ready. She was also very friendly, and made sure that we stayed in a good mood while waiting. Thank you for that! Coffee is mild, delicious, and perfectly foamed. My latte was perfect! There were additional seating area inside the café, but we took our coffee to go. The seating area looks pretty cozy although we didn’t see anyone working on their laptops in there(a rare find in any coffee shops around the city).

Stopped here to grab a hot chocolate before going on the Underground Tour nearby. The shop is cozy and was pretty empty when I came in. Service was fast but wish they had a better selection of pastries. At least when I visited the selection was minimal and not very appetizing. However, the hot chocolate was good and so was the service.

We stopped here for coffee near my boyfriend’s workplace and near where we stayed. The mocha. Which I rarely have, there they used good dark chocolate, and it was yummy. We went back later this morning for my boyfriend wanted another one! The quiche was delish there as well! We would definitely go back again. Great service, coffee, and posters.

Couches :) I love this space. Between the green walls to the couch and fake, warm fire place, this is what I search for in a coffee shop. I’m here right now, loving it. So glad my awesome roommate told me about this tucked away spot.

Nice little café. We came here while waiting for the underground tour. Their coffee is a must try. I had the milky way. Easily one of the best coffee I have ever had! High quality! The food however was so so… I had gyro and my friend ordered ham and chadder. Nothing special about them. But for 8.50 it is good enough. Recommend for breakfast and lunch.

I was walking looking for a small bite to eat and came across Cherry Street coffee house. Their menu is simple yet original with many different sandwiches, bagels, soups and beverages. The staff was a little busy, but didn’t hesitate to help me and answer all my little questions. I ordered soup so it only took about 5 minutes. They have a whole downstairs with comfy chairs, tables and vintage décor, and a fireplace, perfect for small visits/meetings with a friend. Downsides are the size, it’s very small but I think it’s cozy.

A lot bigger than you’d imagine from looking at the entrance. Tons of seating, and cute art below. We ordered giant mugs of lovely loose leaf tea — the earl gray and jasmine were both very aromatic and lovely. Super friendly service. We didn’t try the food, but the other patrons seemed to like it. All in all, a great coffee shop! Pro tip: the bathroom has a code(yay for clean bathroom!). Grab it from the cashier when you order.

I lived in Seattle for a month and worked in Pioneer Square. I originally just came here at random and it was all down hill from there. I want to start by saying this is the BEST coffee I have ever had! The mocha is amazing. I’m not sure what they do to it and I really don’t care because it’s just that good. Its smooth and just sweet enough and doesn’t leave that bitter after taste you may find from that other place down the street. I am also not one to order the same thing everything time. I have tried most of the coffee options and there isn’t one I wouldn’t order again. As far as the food menu, the Sausage and Peppers with egg and cheese on a pita was my favorite. I have also tried the chicken salad on the olive bread. That is a pretty good lunch option. Overall I highly recommend this spot. Its the only Cherry Street Coffee house I have been to so I can’t speak on the others. But, if they are ran like this one, I’m sure it’s just fine.

Had a feta basil sandwich. I think it was a small ~$ 9 sandwich but it wasn’t bad. The atmosphere was good for a group conversation. Decent 3 out of 5

Selected this place at random, walked in off the street on the way to my next destination. Almost balked at the prices, 8.50 for a BLT. My advice, pay it! Best BLT ever, including my own. I think it actually sang to me while I ate it. I recommend it on ciabatta. Ordered a «side» salad, this is where you get your money back! Huge, fresh, and the in house balsamic dressing was the most expertly balanced dressing I’ve ever had outside my own kitchen. Cute, open space with a great view of a busy sidewalk. Cool art(including the ink on the kitchen staff), cool music. And the staff? OMFG, they are absolutely gorgeous people. If your looking for some coffeehouse gnosh: Get here, or get nowhere!

From past coffee experiences from Cherry Street, I decided on this particular visit to avoid the coffee and try something new: a salad. I had heard the falafel salad here was pretty good and since I had a gift card, I figured I’d give that a shot. Greens tossed with pickles + red onions then topped with hummus and crushed falafel. It hit the spot, no doubt, but I probably would try something else from their menu on the next visit. The place itself was in dire need of some clean-up and touch-ups even… but I do my best to overlook those things in downtown Seattle.

Descriptive phrase: unpretentious coffee shop. In a city with a million hip coffee shops, Cherry Street Coffee House is existing successfully without being cool for the sake of it. Both staff and patrons were friendly. The space was a little old and«antique-y», but not unclean. My Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Bagel($ 5.25) hit the spot on a cool Wednesday morning.

EXCELLENT cappicino server in this historic building just steps off Pioneer Square. Easy to miss in the basement seating area which had a couple wing-backed chaird, a fireplace and genrral cosiness that fits Seattle quite well, thank you. The male barista was a bit cantankeous, but it didn’t detract from te expereince.

Having witnessed Laila Ghambari mesmerizing performance at 2014SCAA’s Big Western Regional Coffee Championships, I eagerly bookmarked Cherry Street Coffee House with much anticipation of enjoying a fine cappuccino. Truth be told, I am highly cautious of Unilocal reviews, regardless of how critical they are. At times, a flood of 1 or 5 star reviews will cause me to doubt their validity. My intentions were to give Cherry Street a fair assessment. Sadly, the coffee program at Cherry Street seriously needs attention. Cherry Street Coffee House(at least this location) sports an ambiance quite typical of your average coffee house. It’s warm. It’s comfortable. It possess a warm color palette. An intoxicating aroma of darkly roasted ground espresso fills the space. But then it was my turn in line to order. The barista working register exhibited a highly unpleasant attitude. She lacked people skills suitable for this industry. She also happened to pull espresso for my cappuccino. Cappuccino: 1⁄5 May I begin by saying that I’ve enjoyed a cup or two at more than a few coffee shops/houses/bars. I’ve been all over the US tasting espresso and filtered coffee sourced from a myriad of roasters. Regrettably, this was the absolute worst cappuccino I’ve ever tasted to date. After about five sips of this piping hot, sour, and severely bitter capp, I could no longer tolerate this poorly extracted espresso. I was not about to ask a rude barista to remake my cappuccino, so I opted to abandon my beverage. What’s more, the taste refused to dispel itself from my palate, something not even the Salumi Salami Sandwich from Salumi Artisan Cured Meats I ate after could dislodge. I’d like to believe having Laila return from her stint at Urban Coffee Lounge only serves to benefit Cherry Street. Overhauling Cherry Street’s coffee program will take patience, time, and effort. Her potential impact can be huge… and I am highly anticipating a return next year to taste the fruits of her labor.
