I’ve been going to this Subway occasionally for the last two years and I’ve experienced nothing but fast and friendly service. The place always appears clean and the staff follow sanitary procedures when preparing food(the 2 main things I check out when getting food somewhere). I’m wondering if the negative reviews for this place are due prior management. Can’t really offer more commentary than that as it’s your typical Subway, but I will continue to stop by here from time when I’m being cheap and lazy.

This Subway is cursed with the crappiest employees on the planet. Let me tell you about THREE bad experiences there. I won’t be back. It took 3 experiences over 6 years to show me this place will never change. First, let me explain that I have probably been here only 5 times total. The first review has already been written and these last 2 are my updates. Second time I went they were introducing the breakfast sandwiches. They were free that day with a beverage purchase and I asked the sandwich guy what I should get on mine, since I had never had one before. He said to get it plain. Gross. Later on I found they are much better with peppers, onions, sauce or SOMETHING. Last time was today. I had a Entertainment book coupon. It was for a free 6 inch sub when you buy a 6 inch sub. When I got to the register he asked me what I wanted to drink. I said nothing. He said I HAD to buy a drink. I looked very closely at the coupon and nowhere on there did it say I had to buy a drink to get the deal. He refused to let me have the sandwich without buying a $ 1.80 drink to offset the costs. What a jerk. Considering this is Pioneer Square, I hope some hobo takes a nasty dump in front of your door and you step in it.

This place seems fine to me. I get the same thing basically every single time I go so I can’t really say how the other sandwiches are. The guys there know me now since I’m there frequently and they seem to be really friendly. I’m wondering if all these negative reviews are from a prior time of different management?

I agree with Conner’s write-up of April 3, 2013. I went there today and the staff members were friendly and the store was acceptably clean. This place is on par with other Subway stores. And, as Conner said, «Keep in mind it’s a Subway… not a white tablecloth restaurant.»

i work weird hours in pioneer square, so i often patronize this subway, as it’s open late and cheap in comparison to other establishments. however, i’ve gotten food poisoning twice with 2 different sandwiches… not the case with the 3rd and columbia location. also today, there were fruitflies hovering around the onions which is mildly gross. jared would be disappointed. step your game up.

Grumpy employes. You get the feeling like you are bothering them with your order. They just make sandwiches like robots. Just bad costumer service… Skip it!

Subway is like many other chain eateries — there are only a few things that differentiate one location from another. The factors at the top of my list include service, freshness, and overall cleanliness. Looking at the other reviews for Subway on Pioneer Square, they may have got a bad rep early on. I see lots of 1-star ratings… most from at least 2 years ago. Fortunately for me, I suppose, I have not had a poor experience there. Keep in mind it’s a Subway… not a white tablecloth restaurant so I’ve put my expectations in perspective, here. The factors that matter: 1) Service: There is one gentleman in particular who has a very good disposition. Most other staff are not so peppy but still quick and helpful. 2) Freshness: The bread, meat, and veggies all seem to be fresh! I’m not sure about the condiments though… 3) Cleanliness: Overall, the establishment appears to be kept clean. Just ate one of their sandwiches and my tummy is rumblin’ so hopefully all is good ;)

Confirming the horrendously sickness after eating here that others are reporting.

Not all Subway’s are created equal, and from the other one star reviews I can see I’m not alone here. I got horrendously sick after eating at this place. Maybe you’ve wondered what it’s like to eat at a Subway when the condiments aren’t changed all day in the last 30 minutes before they close at 10:30 pm… I made that mistake. I don’t want to get graphic, but, I lost some weight, and I’m still trying to gain it back and regain my appetite. Subway is a franchise business. The customer service depends on what the manager puts into it. Don’t go to this one if you can avoid it until you read a review better than 1 star.

In a hurry to get out of the rain, I settled on Subway instead of the many better sandwich places nearby and ordered the meatball sub. I’ve had better«marinara» from a pack of Lunchables. The end.

Possibly the dirtiest Subway in Seattle. Considering that Jimmy John’s and Quiznos are right around the corner, I have no idea why anyone would eat here.

Day six and the last day of Jury Duty!!! We deliberated and found the defendant guilty on all four counts so our day was over and I could leave and go to work. On my way back to the office I decided I needed something quick, a sandwich would work or so I thought. I head to Subway to get a turkey on wheat. Worst experience ever. The employees were not only rude but didn’t pay attention to what people in line were ordering. My sandwich had things on it I didn’t ask for and asked for them to start over but they didn’t they just picked them off. The same thing happened when I took my nephews here are the Underground tour, their sandwiches were fine mine on the other hand was messed up just like this one, you’d think I’d learn I guess you can say once bitten twice shy I’ll never got to this Subway again.

It seems kind of silly to review a corporate establishment like this but there is a lot more to ones experience in a restaurant than just the same old food. One of those ingredients that these«Sandwich Artists» forgot to learn at Harvard was simple common courtesy and customer service. This Subway is sadly the official corporate home to the rudest, meanest, most disgusting human beings in the organization. You can walk into this sweat box that lacks a properly opening door and find the most ignorant«Artists» in the world. Your request will have to be repeated numerous times, and then they will ask you again what you said, once again you will repeat. When you ask for anything extra god forbid like pickles you will be lucky to get two more. The frustration eating in such a poorly managed dive has overcome me more than once and I have walked out in the middle of making my sandwich. There is no sense giving business to rude, inconsiderate people who don’t listen in the first place. This is the Larry’s of Subway stores. Maybe one day we can take comfort in finding a padlock on this door.
