Outstanding service and location. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend making a dinner destination here!

I came here for my sisters birthday on Sunday for dinner and it was quite nice! The restaurant is cute inside and although its not large the high ceilings made it feel spacious. Also, there was nobody here except my family so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves haha. The menu was very simple but they had interesting thibgs from wild boar to the classics like risotto. –Food(3.5÷5) The portions were good and overall the food was pretty delicious and decently priced. Everything was under 20 $ unless you choose the chefs family style special(20 – 30 $/person with 3 courses/entrees) My family tried the polenta with meat sauce(little salty), cucumber salad(lots of croutons…), pesto(nice flavor not too strong), shrimp pasta(yummy), pork with pasta(mom loved it), risotto(standard but good). –Atmosphere(5⁄5) Inside was very well decorated with a beautiful chandelier. Clean and felt authentic and classy! –Service(4.5÷5) The waiter patiently waited for us to order even though we arrived 30 mins late and explained whenever we had a question about the food. Some croutons in my salad were soggy however, because i think they made it first.

Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had, love the ambiance, and our server Erin was perfect!!! We can’t wait to return for the chef’s whim, but the pappardelle was amazing for a first time visit.

Was intrigued to try this place because of the name and fell in love! The chef’s choice menu changes frequently based the season and what region of Italy the chef chooses to focus on. I can’t tell you much about the actual menu options since I’ve haven’t tried them. But the chef never fails to surprise and please with perfectly prepared, delicious courses! (Yes:They have delicious vegetarian and non pork options as part of the chef’s choice menu)

Do yourself a favor and order the chef’s whim option on the menu. Your only regret will be not having enough room to finish the food. The portions were more than generous. Great tasting food that isn’t your usual Olive Garden Italian food. Probably one of the better dining experiences I’ve had not just in Seattle but in the US as a whole. Promt and attentive service.

We tried to go to Faerie Queen but they close at 7(why?) so we ended up coming here on a Friday night. This place is really cute and rustic and we were seated immediately. I think there isn’t much to say about this place because the overall experience was meh. The service was good, the food was good, the prices… still acceptable. But nothing really stands out. I got the pesto spaghetti and my friends got the chicken and pappardelle. I just can’t say that the flavors or anything really stood out. Wanted to love this place but really can’t for the price.

We went to this small Italian spot while vacationing in Seattle. First off, there was a Unilocal deal for garlic bread — definitely take advantage of this! Large portion, made fresh, and was a perfect side dish to our appetizers. Che Sara Sara has an adorable atmosphere in Pioneer square. The service was prompt, attentive, and knowledgable about the menu. They also offer a chef’s choice, where you give them any dietary restrictions and your price point, and they provide a 3 – 4 course meal. We would have picked this had we not already decided our entrees beforehand. The table next to us got it and was very impressed! We ordered the pesto pasta dish, a risotto special, and a starter salad — this was the kind of meal that was simple, but stuck in my head as what I think of when I imagine really excellent Italian food. Definitely recommend!

Must do the family style, I was not able to finish the generous portions. Home run or touch down, whichever you prefer.

Stopped here after artwalk in december. We got the chef’s whim– you choose a budget per person and the chef prepares a three course meal based on your preferences. Note that everyone at the table needs to get the chefs whim as it is served family style. They are super accommodating and service is excellent. I asked for a glass of montepulciano and chardonnay off the menu and as he had an open bottle, he gave it to us though it wasnt the house wine. Again– excellent service. The chefs menu did not disappoint either, except it didn’t include dessert which was an unexpected twist. For a vegetarian chefs menu, we were served panzanella salad and pizza margherita as a starter. Main courses were pasta primavera– spiral pasta with sprint beans, asparagus and cherry tomatoes in an excellent marina sauce. We were stuffed after the appetizers and managed to finish the pasta. We were expecting dessert but what landed next was a risotto. Definite value for money, but also the reason for taking off a star. i would have been happy with the pasta and a tiramisu. It would have been the perfect three course meal. I definitely will come back and i am pretty sure if i had told the waiter i wanted a dessert not risotto, they would have brought me one. So no complaints! Definitely recommend you checking then out. Great ambience, casual clothes, intimate setting. They can fit in groups as well by joining tables.

Not to be missed. Watch for the specials not on the menu as they had three off menu last night, and they were all incredible. Watch also for new wines not on the menu. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was great. We had a fantastic experience.

Short review: If you’re in Seattle during the dinner hour, go here. Atmosphere, service, and food is all 5 stars. Long review: My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to get dinner and we came upon this restaurant that didn’t seem to be well advertised from the outside. We looked at the menu from the outside and one of the servers came out, Aron, and invited us in for dinner. We sat down and had some happy hour glasses of wine and beer. It was a great start! The menu rotates but the item that intrigued us was the«Chef’s Whim». You tell your server your budget per plate $ 20 – 40 and they will prepare a 3 to 4 course dinner for you. We were pretty full from the free garlic bread with a Unilocal check-in and the apertivo plate, but the food was so good we opted for the $ 20 Chef’s Whim. We started with an incredible salad, followed by a creamy pesto tortellini, followed by a chicken thigh dish that has incredible flavor. The dessert was a perfect tiramisu! Just writing about this place makes my mouth water. Go here when in Seattle! Definitely get the Chef’s Whim.

Went in on a Saturday night. Was surprised that there were never more than three tables being used in the restaurant(rainy night), which is great for a more intimate setting. Waiter/server was great and very attentive. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. The kale bruschetta was very good. The bread/tomato soup was tasty at first, then we realized that it was so over-seasoned we couldn’t get the taste of the herbs out of our mouths. The prawn pasta and the boar/polenta dish had same problem. Oregano, rosemary, thyme, tarragon, … Just overkill!

The entrée is about $ 15 per plate which isn’t bad and the food was actually pretty good. 4 – 5 stars for the food and atmosphere was cozy and snuggy. The seating space is small so it might be not suitable for big group. Oveall, food was good, atmosphere was good, price was okay, server was good UNTIL he brought us the check that’s when they lose 2 stars– he charged us 18% tips and included in the total bill and there were only 3 of us! I think this is illegal and very unethical to say the least. It’s not like we weren’t gonna leave some tip. Even though we had great meal we won’t be back because we left very offended.

Had lunch here a few days ago with a friend and had the special of the day which was big tortellini with cheese & sausage. It was spectacular. The other dish we had was boar on polenta and some garlic bread. The whole experience, as well as the décor, kind of reminded me of the little restaurants spread throughout Florence Italy but I think the food here is better than what I had over there. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. It’s a little pricey for lunch but the food is great so it’s worth the splurge since I don’t mind paying more for great food.

What a lovely restaurant! My manager recommended this place and gave me the Little Italy business card. The atmosphere is small so reservations are recommended especially during lunch. I think I had the best table for the 1st Ave view. I wonder if they’ll have outdoor seating in the future. I ordered the Bruschetta and Penne pasta. It was really good! They give you more pasta here than they do at Il Corvo. Service was perfect. He was really kind and made sure I was doing okay. There was a large group when I walked in and I was worried the chef would take a while to get my order out. To my surprise my food came out in a timely manner and I was really happy I got back to work on time.

We stopped in here because of the vibes. :) unassuming quaint little Italian café with a rotating seasonal menu. We got the bruschetta and spaghetti, both delicious. Bruschetta highlights: really delicious kale toppings in balsamic. Spaghetti highlights: standard spaghetti but the meatballs seemed to be marinated in wine which was a nice surprise. We asked for a couple slices of bread to finish off the rest of the sauce and they kindly accommodated with delicious hot garlic bread . Great service as well! Giving it 5 stars because we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I really want to give more stars! In fact, I immediately loved the place and the private feeling of the atmosphere and genuine feeling that I was in another country. The menu featured a type of, name your price, and the chef will make a full 4 course meal around that! I thought.5 stars! Cool gimmick and genuine feel. The place provided a personalized atmosphere and the waiter rushed with every request. The food was good and compared to the price our group paid. it was an excellent value! I wondered what the surprise would be with a different price point? One could eat here daily not knowing what one would receive! So fun! Why 3 stars then? Well, although the effort of the waiter was extremely awesome(like how much I want to give this 5 stars. the want is there), they would have benefited from having another waiter there. The quality of attention and detail that the guy gave to each table was amazing but, if you are going to give that kind of 5 star service… then get another person to handle the load of the restaurant at any given time please. I found myself waiting most of my meal for things. He did pay lots of attention to the main person on our 12 person group… but rarely gave any eye contact to the other side of the table. This made many of us wait. That’s all I’m asking for. We understood the amount of people there and his generous effort to attend to everyone… but without help or a quick glance at the room when he came out from the kitchen to see who has been trying to stare him down for the past 20 minutes just for some water would have been helpful. The restaurant also would have made much more money on alcohol if we got any follow up. I decided to stop drinking since I just couldn’t get service. I actually just gave up entirely for anything after the first hour. I guarantee that the establishment would have made much more money on effort, goods, and time based on the ratio to cost and alcohol(as with any place that serves them). Great value and a nice place to take a date. Not a good place for groups. I’ll probably try again but I won’t be expecting much.

I was hoping to like this place more, but sadly it was just okay. I came here for dinner with a friend on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is cute! It’s on the corner in Pioneer Square and the doors/windows are wide open so it’s almost like patio dining but still inside :) See pics. Also, restaurant is small — maybe ten tables? but not busy. They do take reservations though. We got the pappardelle pasta with prosciutto and duck ragu, $ 14, and the beef roll with spaghetti, $ 17, which a special that day(my friend wanted MEAT, haha) I guess portions were pretty generous so the value was okay, but the pasta didn’t taste all that fresh or flavorful. kind of disappointing and a waste of major carb intake! :/The beef roll was pretty interesting though — I’ve never had anything like it before or even the olive oil and balsamic sauce the spaghetti was in was new to me. The beef was tender enough, and pretty good, but the dish overall just didn’t impress me. The pappardelle was average. Something I found interesting was that there’s only ONE person in the kitchen, preparing everything! The reason I know is because you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restroom. I have to have some respect for that… how does one person do it all?! Super impressive. With that in mind, maybe this is actually 3.5 stars. Tip: free garlic bread with check-in! Large portion of it too, and you can taste the minced garlic! The down side is that it was way too crispy/baked too long that it was hard to eat. We had some leftover.

My friend and I randomly stumbled upon this quaint little Italian Restaurant and had an overall enjoyable experience! The lady that helped us definitely gave off warm, ‘mom’ vibes and helped us with the menu. They do a family style thing where you give her the amount you’d want to spend($ 20, $ 25, etc.) and she brings out different dishes for you. They have a whole menu you could order from too but we decided to let them pick for us. Everything she did pick for us was great but one dish. I’d stay away from the chicken with the red wine reduction, unless you’re into sour and tart. However their salad, and mushroom pasta were great! I would definitely go back and try some other dishes and to also just enjoy the atmosphere in the restaurant and around Pioneer Square in general.
