Nice surprise in Greenwood! Organic food, healthy and friendly service. Also fairly speedy. Minus 1 star because portions aren’t big. Could leave a hungry person wanting. I ordered the pueblo plate for 12.25. Tamale is a bit smaller than I had hoped.

Have to give five stars because we need more places like this that serve raw, organic, whole food that tastes great! Unfortunately it is very expensive and some of the servers seem as though they need more customer training but overall, thumbs up for innovation, taste and real food.

Absolutely awesome place all around! I’ve tried a bunch of the plates and liked them all. I love the idea of the community bowl too. I always hear good music when I’m in there too!

I was fortunate to end my work day just outside Chaco Canyon wroth a grumbling tummy. I’m not a vegan, but I would be if I was promised cinnamon chip scones daily. It was so amazing! The chips were crunchy and melty with excellent texture and balance of flavors. I was worried that the cinnamon would over-power, but it didn’t. The hippie bowl was delicious as well. I could’ve had a little more of the sauce on top, however. Clean, nice personnel and reasonably priced.

I love the U district location and I will still go there, but this location is terrible. The food looks terrible, the restaurant looks terrible and the service is the worst. All the counter girls I’ve had to order from are so unprofessional and rude! I have this place three tries and decided I won’t be back:(

Really, as good as it gets. DISCLAIMER: they don’t have sandwiches like their other two locations. UHHHWHATEVERTHEOPPOSITEOF A DISCLAIMERIS: Chaco Greenwood has a bunch of stuff that’s not at other Chacos that are amazing. I had a long talk with one of their workers about what they serve and why it’s different than the other locations. They didn’t do a great job letting everyone know(at least, they sisn’t contact myself personally), but this is a «bakery café» that focuses on fast, fresh, wholesome food that requires less labor but stays true to their mission of no-B.S. ingredients, homemade, unique, bomb-ass delicious vegan cuisine. Lots of gluten-free choices and overall the most allergen-friendly place in Seattle. Look to get the«Pueblo Plate», which gives you the choice of a number of Mains(including two things NOT at other Chacos: risotto cakes and tamales), one of their great sides like the homemade soups(almost always great), and a drink such as a Chaco-brewed kombucha or a fresh juice. Chaco used to be a little pricey, though I didn’t care because of how much they focus on the environment, their workers, and the community(and the fact that they’re certified organic), but given where prices have gone in this city($ 5 for a two-bite taco at The Yard, across the street, for instance), I found the prices to be downright appropriate. Viva Chaco — love you guys!

Yuk! Pretty bad. I had«jerk chili» — uhhhh… it tasted like lentil soup and possibly dish water with black beans and tomatoes. Ick! No thanks.

This place is off-da-hook delicious! I have been on a 10 day juicing diet. Tonight I said screw it, I’m seeking out some solid food. I had a completely organic veggie Empanada, curried quinoa salad, and a pint of «Nettle» flavored Kombucha. It was all divine. I like the atmosphere, the people, the customers, the menu choices. I like everything about this place. I closed there doors just now at 8:00PM, and I will be returning in the AM when they open, for a breakfast juice.

I get it — this is not the same place as the other two Chacos. They’re clearly intent on two things here: serving you up quickly and SUPER friendly, and making providing different yet equally fresh/awesome/amazing food to their community. I love this place. They don’t mess around with bad ingredients, you can tell when you check in with your body after you eat there. Bottom line, go here if you want delicious, ecologically-friendly, community-oriented food.

I’ve been to the U-district location many times, so when this opened down the street from my house I was really excited! This is a café version of their other shops so there’s not a full menu, but what they do offer is great! I’ve been here with my kids, non vegan friends and veg friends and all have loved it every time! The lentil soup is awesome! So are the pockets, would make any non vegan happy! I’ve tried 3 different salads and all were good but not amazing. Their in house kombucha is really good, so are the lattes. I really can’t say anything bad. There’s even a play area for the kids and the staff is always nice. As for price, which many have complained about in other reviews, you can get a large soup, an «entrée»(pockets, risotto cakes etc, and a large drink(kombucha, latte, fresh pressed juice, which are easily $ 5 on their own) as a combo meal for only $ 12. Which is a great deal for quality vegan food!

My wife and I just went vegan 6 weeks ago after seeing«forks over knives». We have been surprised what great food we can make for ourselves but after a long week of working we decided to go out for a meal. This place was all around great! Together we spent under $ 25 and were stuffed after finishing our delicious meal(see picture).. Everyone was very friendly and warm the food came quickly even though 6 people ordered ahead of us. What pushed my rating to a 5 was the dessert(which we bought on the way out the door to enjoy at home for another $ 10) a cookie and the chocolate cheese cake was yummy. We will definitely be back!

Chaco Canyon is quality, slowly prepared, organic food. Fresh juices, smoothies, salads, and baked goods. Local farmers are supported and the employees seem happy! The new space in Greenwood seems to have some weird design challenges that make it less warm and inviting than the other two locations. The blue blank walls make it look like a dress shop, not a restaurant. I think some framed photos of fruits and vegetables or local farmers might help make this place feel more honey and also indicate to those new to Chaco Canyon what this place is all about. The poor reviews so far are disappointing and I hope that maybe the Greenwood/Phinney community could give some suggestions to the owners of what they’d like to see in this space. Maybe hosting a poetry night or open mic or a children’s art day and exhibit? The food is great for a morning or afternoon hearty snack!

This place is seriously amazing! The food is great and I am impressed with the friendly service. They are completely vegan except the option of cow milk in coffee I believe. I am so glad they opened this new location. It is definitely more of a café-style place than the u-district location. I am vegetarian and sometimes I find it hard going out to eat, but this place has a great selection and really focuses on healthy foods. The last time I went I had the risotto cakes and a juice. My favorite juice so far has been the Pure Bliss: apple, pineapple, spinach, and mint. The risotto cakes were great, but they were a «special» so I’m not sure if they still serve them. I would recommend Chaco to anyone with dietary restrictions, anyone who is trying to focus on healthy eating, or anyone who likes to try new delicious things!

I love Chaco Canyon in the U district. Super friendly and a great menu. However, we went to their Greenwood location for dinner last week and we were very underwhelmed. The menu is much less impressive, they don’t have any sandwiches. At least at the U District location we can justify the high prices with good selection and taste. Aside from the menu, the service was not very friendly, actually we felt as though were more of a bother to them than a customer. That was probably the most disappointing part of our visit. If you have never tried Chaco Canyon, try the U District location!

This place is my most favorite smoothie shop in Seattle. Their inner fire shot is amazing, rotating fresh squeezed juices, build your own smoothie(I am picky so this is perfect for someone like me) and their seasonal on tap kombucha is freaking delicious. Also, their empanadas are so damn addicting. The people that gave this place bad reviews are people that hate life. These people are so friendly every time I walk in the door. And they literally make my day. I love you Chaco canyon

I live in the greenwood and I wanted to give Chaco a go, since it’s new to the neighborhood and it will probably be the only time I go in. The food was pretty decent, but not kid friendly and my 10 year old was not pleased with the selection. I thought my empanada and soup was ok but the price tag was super steep! My son got an orange juice, but we ordered an apple juice. I got a combo with a drink and it came to 22.50ish!!! I couldn’t believe it. I may have come back by myself if it had not been for the service. The gal at the register was really impatient with us when I asked about the juices available. Instead of letting me know they have a wide variety if freshly squeezed juices she said yeah we squeeze it as if I was annoying her. Then we got the wrong juice but i didn’t want to «annoy» her again. I will continue to go to neptune across the street, they’re super nice and are always super friendly and welcoming.

I post this review and rating with some sadness. See– I was elated when this was opening for many reasons. The location is great and close to where we live. I am also dairy free so being able to have quality treats is a divine thought. Also the inside is nice and has a little kid’s area which can be nice for an option on rainy days. I’ve visited this location several times. I’ve tried scones, smoothies, cookies, kombucha, coffee, muffins, breads, and raw brownies. I really just can’t justify the price for the quality. The cookies taste good but are so hard that they have the vibe of a packaged, store-bought cookie and not a bakery cookie. Today, I came home and tried to dip it in almond milk to make it more edible. Then I just gave up. Why am I trying so hard to finish this $ 3+ cookie?! I wish the service redeemed the location but usually I feel as though I am inconveniencing them… and I am always chipper and consistently tip when when they are not friendly. I kept trying things from Chaco because I wanted to like it so much. But the reality is I can drive to PCC for a delicious cookie for 99 cents. I hear Emerald City(?) makes much more affordable and delicious smoothies. The Green Bean just down the road has vegan muffins and a quality kids area. I just don’t think I’ll keep paying too much to try to like this location. Bummer.

The staff are too rushed to give you quality food and service! I was in there today and got an Elvis smoothie, at the bottom of my drink were two large solid balls of peanut butter that had not blended into the drink at all(see photo)! While I was waiting for my smoothie, I saw another employee putting together a plate of food; she took off her gloves when she was done, realised she needed to make adjustments and then used her bare hands to rearrange the(ready to eat) food on the plate before bringing the plate out to the customer which I believe is against Washington State health code!!! I was so excited to discover Chaco Canyon and have since become a frequent customer and it’s such a disappointment to see the quality of the place plummet so drastically.

Five stars for food that is food. Fantastic! As they’ve just opened, I’m not certain whether they will have the same menu as their Roosevelt location; the current one is somewhat limited. Still. Real food, five stars!

With some recent changes to my diet I’ve found eating out such a pain. It was refreshing to be so intentionally accommodated! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food tasted great, and the space was relaxed but comfortable. I’ll be back!
