I should have done this sooner due to the great experiences I’ve had up to this point with this store, but my most recent experience solidified my need to do so. After making a stupid mistake with a purchase, Mary (assisted by Morgan) went above and beyond to appease my situation. They took into account rational and logic and made decisions most people would think were fair, but that most other «corporate» stores wouldn’t allow due to their policies and fear of incompetent employee’s (who ironically they hire in the first place). In the end, I left even more satisfied, being that they went beyond what I thought would be fair. Yet another great experience shopping with CeX Northgate… I’ll be back!

While this review was hoping to be a positive one, I come bearing some bad news. Yesterday on the 27^th, I went into this location to sell an extra IPhone 6 128gb that I had. The woman who had an asymmetric neon blue Mohawk haircut was very energetic and helpful. When she saw how much she was supposed to give me ($ 455.00) for the sale of the phone, she said that she would need to do the test on the phone and then would email me a PayPal amount of money. WELL IT LOOKS LIKE THERE WAS A MIX UP WITH PAYPAL AND AFTER SOME QUICK ACTION FROM THIS COMPANY THEY HELPED AND I HAVE MY FUNDS! Thank you!!!

Everyone at the store was incredibly helpful and sweet and patient I brought in 30 items and they were very diligent and I bought a iPad mini. Felix, Mary and Laurel are the greatest.
He helped me make decisions.

Its a shame people only go on here to complain. They have great prices compared to gamestop. I always shop here when Im looking for a video game. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good deal on used video games, DVDs, or cell phones.

CeX both sells and buys at great prices. First of all, I’m very impressed with how much money they’ll give you for your used systems and games. I was thinking of selling my 2DS and was pleased to hear they’d give me up to $ 69 for it or up to $ 80 in store credit. Wow — way better than what you’d get at Gamestop. Before you give away or sell your items to another store, check in with these guys first.
Their website will tell you what is in stock, what they’re selling it for, and what price they’ll buy your items for. Easy to look up what you want and save a trip if it’s not there. My boyfriend and I noticed one particular game was selling for a higher price used than it was new. Their website says: «…if something doesn’t sell, we reduce the price and if it sells too well, we increase the price.» Seems strange, but an interesting model. Despite that, you’ll still find competitive prices here.
Customer service was great, the saleswomen answered our questions, were friendly, and let us try out the items before buying. Both of us bought used 3DS XLs (on different days) and so far we’ve had no major problems with the systems. They have an appealing one-​year warranty on all products — be sure to ask for details on some items; the saleswoman today informed me that this does not apply to damage to the charger port, for example. Still, a warranty like this on used electronics is pretty nice.
In the few times that I’ve gone in, there are always plenty of customers needing assistance, but I’ve never waited for too long.
Definitely give this shop a look if you’re buying or selling electronics.

In response to Rupa. I’ve sent the requested documentation via email to you. The phone was purchased on 4÷17÷14 and the receipt is attached to the email. I hope this issue is rectified very soon because I have no useable cell phone, received terrible suctioned service, and was sold a broken phone by your store employee Stephanie. I’ve emailed this store twice and have received no resolution. Terrible

I went there to sell my iPhone 5c to cex and they said they could take it but that they didn’t have ANY money to buy it from me WHAT store doesn’t have money seriously don’t offer to buy something from me and then turn around and say you cant pay for it! Also they do not have a landline to contact them to see how much you get and they have NO way to call you when your product is ready. this place is bull poop.

CeX — what’s that? I was running an errand at Northgate Mall and saw this store. I had never heard of it before so I wandered in.
Basically, they buy, sell, and exchange cell phones, video games, and other electronics and digital media. Hmmmm… doesn’t sound like an original idea so far. The store is new so it looks good. There are cases of equipment like cameras, cell phones, Apple keyboards, and more. The price labels remind me of a pawn shop.
I only saw one staff member while I was there and she was sharing information with another customer. I waited and busied myself with browsing. At some point, it became clear that she wasn’t going to be done anytime soon. Since she didn’t acknowledge me in anyway, I assumed she wouldn’t care if I left. I was actually shopping for a cell phone as mine is completely on the fritz. I had never bought an unlocked cell phone before (weird I know) and I wanted to ask some questions. Oh, well.
I think the store is worth another look and I may have waited longer if I didn’t have other places to go. My kiddo was particularly interested in the used Skylanders which could be bought individually for as little as $ 5. This may be a good place to sell duplicate characters as well.
