We have been here twice. The first time was good and my husband liked the coffee. The second time we came later in the day and just ordered hot chocolate. It was so weak you could barely taste any chocolate and the barista was not very friendly. We love supporting local coffee shops, but what should you do when Starbucks has better quality drinks?

I went here last week to meet up with a friend. I had never been before as I am pretty new to Seattle. The atmosphere was great. It was kind of dark, but I was also there after dark. I’m sure alot of the light comes in the big picture windows during the day. The barista was very friendly and acknowledged me right away when I walked in. There isn’t a menu that I saw, and I am not a very knowledgeable coffee drinker, so that kind of threw me a little bit. I ended up getting a small hot chocolate. It was pretty good, but it came in the smallest small I’ve every seen. Overall it was good, but I don’t think that I would go out of my way to go again.

Really yummy espresso! Asked for a latte, but it came out a lot frothier than I wanted to(borderline cappuccino). Just okay service. And very calming and cozy environment, although this shop and its seating area were huge. It was so relaxing being in there.

The best tasting espresso I have ever had. Every drink is made with love. I only take people I really like to café vita, it’s a very special place. Their food and treats are also exceptional plus they’re dog friendly as long as your dog is friendly. Keep up the great work!

I figured I should leave a review since I’m here pretty much every day. The main reason I started coming here is because they are dog-friendly and I’d just adopted a dog. I work from home, so bringing the pup to a coffee shop with new people to see while I work is far more interesting for him than staying home with nothing to do. After a few days the baristas knew him by name(and eventually learned mine ;)) and now one of the baristas even watches him when I go out of town. The coffee is tasty, though I admittedly drink coffee to keep me alert and taste good more than I’m a connoisseur of pour-overs or anything. I AM, however, a connoisseur of carbs, and their pastries are on point, especially the ones from La Toscanella. But the main thing for me is the friendly service and dog-friendly policy(they even have treats, and I have never once gotten flack for my dog being of a certain breed). I love it here and basically consider it my office.

So good. My boyfriend got me a vanilla latte and a quiche. The quiche was AMAZING, super flaky crust and just amazing all together. The vanilla latte is very yummy as well. Highly recommend!

I frequent this coffee shop when I am in Seattle because it is walking distance from my sons house. The baked goods are amazing and the coffee is usually excellent, but the baristas are beyond rude! Today the barista is so coldly arrogant and dismissive that it ruined our visit. We only left a tip because the cashier was engaging and helpful, maybe trying to compensate for her rude co-worker?

Easy location to get to. The area out front is a revolving door for parking spaces so AM parking is never a problem. Service is fast, friendly and professional. They have a good selection of pastries and stuffed croissants so you can grab a bite on the go. I love this Vita and highly recommend it.

I would give this place a zero star if available. My family was visiting and wanted to try non Starbucks«Seattle» coffee. We looked up your menu and saw the menu in the photo provided, and decided we would go. Upon arrival, my sister in law ordered a caramel macchiato and the woman wearing a Seahawks Jersey today snapped at her rudely and said«I don’t have caramel macchiato.» However, there was a small menu sign with macchiato on it. My sister in law tried ordering a white chocolate mocha, and the woman rudely snapped back and said«I don’t have that white chocolate.» She didn’t apologize or smile once, then as we stood there taken aback by her rudeness, the woman decided to start talking to her coworker and ignore us, so we left. I, nor my family, deserve such rude treatment and will never step place back in this coffee shop again.

There’s one thing you should know about this place-the people who work here are way cooler than you are. And not afraid to let you know it. And they serve a halfway decent cup of pricey coffee. You can find better coffee and better service without trying too hard.

This is some of the best coffee I have had in Seattle – and this is Seattle, so that’s saying something. I work across the street, so I’d call myself a regular(they know my order when I come in). In regards to the princesses on here complaining about the baristas, just get over it. Sure, some of the baristas are friendlier than others, but I’ve spent enough time in there that I’ve had to overhear some of your ridiculous requests for drinks. If YOU had to deal with YOU all day, you probably wouldn’t go out of your way to stroke off every customer that came in either. If you want some of the best coffee in Seattle, and don’t mind not being the center of your barista’s universe, then please do yourself a favor and come here.

Would give 5 stars for the coffee, but the barista’s were not friendly. They realized we were from out of town and a tad rude. Sorry I am not local is the way I felt. Coffee and presentation was awesome

Great little neighborhood place to get a espresso, or coffee and a pastry. LOVED their chocolate croissant. Staff is super friendly and makes a fantastic latte. They open at 6AM during the week.

Really cozy location that would be nice to hang out in if I lived nearby. The iced Americano I had was a bit acidic for my taste but it wasn’t bad. The barista really wasn’t very friendly; from the rest of the reviews, that doesn’t seem to be the norm but that was definitely my experience. All together, I wouldn’t mind giving it another try due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I’ll order something different and, hopefully, get a more friendly barista. We shall see.

A cute little neighborhood café with good music, friendly service, and cool ambiance. Not too packed on a Sunday afternoon, so you can stay for a while. Small menu with good variety, from sweet sodas, to teas, to coffees – the standards. Had a yummy pumpkin bread, but I’m it sure if they make their own. If I lived nearby, it’d bra regular hangout for me.

When you go into a place and there’s only 1 size of Cappuccino, you know they are serious about their coffee. Cappuccino is supposed to be on the small side! Pastries were also great, especially the almond croissant! I love the crusty almond top, and the creamy filling, better than many bakeries around! Chill and casual atmosphere is perfect for locals to hang out in the morning. Love it!

In a city where coffee shines over the overcast and rainy Seattle skies, this place consistently gets the job done time and time again. And this«Caffe Vita» location that we visited was none other than the one on 5th Ave. in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Since this location is a bit off the beaten path, parking is actually fairly easy to find as we parked directly across the street. Once stepping foot inside, it has a dark yet cozy atmosphere. The interior is graced with a brick wall complete with a menu board displaying all their varieties as well as brewing equipment, mugs, teas, and ground coffee to take home. Even though it is a bit small, this only adds to the coziness. And it is definitely a spot where locals go to get away from the more popular touristy areas in downtown. As appropriate as this was, my fiancée and I came on an overcast and drizzly Monday morning. We definitely needed a pick-me-up as we knew(from the Unilocal reviews) that Caffe Vita” would hopefully be a safe bet. She orders their vanilla latte while I opt for a regular mocha. Both drinks are piping hot and ready within minutes. After the first taste test, my mocha was made absolutely perfect in every way possible. The richness of the espresso bean combined with the frothiness of the foam truly made every sip an enjoyable one. I also managed a sample a few sips of my fiancées vanilla latte and that was also excellent. The overall flavor was creamy, sweet, and bitter all in one. And hands down, one of the best places I’ve been to in quite some time. So for those of you who rely on the popular coffee establishments(Starbucks, Tully’s, Seattle’s Best., etc.), I would strongly encourage you to check out«Caffe Vita». I was overly impressed with the flavor, ambiance, and atmosphere and this truly is an authentic and superior Seattle coffee shop.

Good coffee, that’s really all you need to know. Although the staff doesn’t really greet you unless you’re a local, they’re more than willing to answer any questions you might have. I guess it’s sort of a locals only spot, but I don’t care. NY attitude vs Seattle attitude, they’re both on-par and totally acceptable to me. Next time I’m by KeyArena for an event, I’ll be sure to stop by again.

Compared to most modern Bay Area roaster cafés, this place is pretty old school. I had read some complaints in reviews for another location that some customers were scared off by «satanic» music playing in the café. The theme seemed pretty dark and the mysterious character on the cups seemed a little evil. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was curious to try some satanic coffee. Way better than expected! The regular on tap coffee was the relatively darkly roasted blend pre-prepared via French press. Rich, chocolatey, classic and satisfying. Very clean for French press preparation. They have obviously been doing this for a long time and it showed. Well made decaf latte. Non-satanic pop music blasting and friendly, attentive service. Beans: they roast their own and can be found around town at other cafés and markets. Room for improvement: I didn’t really understand exactly how the pour-over service worked or why it would cost over $ 5/cup

After Seattle Half Marathon Half, my carpool buddies and I came here for a cup of hot beverage. Well, I tried not to drink coffee because runner’s high and caffeine will keep me up all night. However, I really wanted a eggnog drink. The lady told me that she can make me eggnog de-caf latte. In addition, I got chicken pastry. It definitely made my day brighter and sunnier :-) It’s been at least 6 hours since I had my coffee. I am still awake! But, I know, I will sleep well tonight when it’s my bedtime!
