Third day into Seattle and started early by catching a 10am bus toward Pike Place Market to get breakfast at Caffe Lieto. Also known as Biscuit Bitch, they’ve got quite the interesting menu! I know, I know. Biscuits are pretty hearty, but my friend and I wanted to get something on the lighter side. Lucy was still a bit scarred from gravy on her Mushroom Benedict at Portage Bay Café, so she avoided gravy in any form like the plague. Instead, we both settled on the ‘Bitchwich’, a breakfast sandwich. Lucy chose bacon while I got spam for the breakfast sandwiches. And since it was breakfast, we jumpstarted our morning with a cup of coffee and a chai latte. The bacon was crispy and retained it’s crispness throigh each bite. And if you love spam, you’re gonna love that this spot offers the option. Lightly pan-fried and sandwiched between cheedar and bitch sauce, the spam was a great combo for breakfast. This place is bomb and Frydays, they got a fried chicken specials. They also do several renditions of biscuits and gravy if you’re feeling gravy. Wished my stay was longer to try them all, but the bitchwitch was tasty!

This place has tasty food. Very filling so when you come here this is what you need to do… go to the back, order yourself a Smoking hot Seattle bitch. Once you pay for your food promptly leave this place and go to your closest grocery store. Once your there buy biscuits, gravy, Louisiana hot sausage links, onions, and crème cheese. Now go home, cook your food and eat it! Once your done wallow in self pity for what you just ingested! After about 15 minutes of that go back to the restaurant and attempt to find a spot to sit because your food at this point will be «a quick 30 minutes» for the 5th time! Once you’ve lost your patience ask why the hell its taking so long where they will reply«you ordered a meal with onions» This is where you will stand there for the remaining of the time trying to understand how in the hell grilling up some onions takes SO long. You will begin to remember the good olé days when you could grill onions 10 minutes at most. This will turn into frustration and confusion. By now a seat will finally become available so go sit down. The good news is you will become hungry once again and your food will FINALLY have… just 10 more minutes… You will think to yourself«maybe I should just get my money back and leave :(«and now… Your food will be sitting on the counter and you will hear the Gods from above call out your name in perfect harmony. In all seriousness go somewhere else. As good as the food was, it just wasn’t worth watching yourself rot away for so long. If your hung over… fucking forget about it! We legitimately counted 30 customers come, get their food, eat and leave while we just sat there waiting for onions to be grilled!

Mmmm, I’m getting hungry just thinking about brunch at this place. I’m a vegetarian so biscuits with gravy is nearly always out of my reach. Not at Biscuit Bitch though — they have a creamy shiitake mushroom gravy for vegetarians. I had the Gritty Scrambled Cheesy bitch — delicious biscuit smothered in cheese and gravy. The eggs and grits are tossed in too making it a delectable pot pourri of breakfast foods. And yes, its as heavenly and greasy as it sounds! About $ 10 per bitch including tip, so not inexpensive but its a considerable amount of food for one meal. Serving good food in a popular area really draws the crowds during brunch hours though — we only managed to get outdoor seat which was fully wet from the rain on one side. And they(understandably) don’t let people take up seats until their food has been served.

Downtown prices, but really good food. I got some realllllly good tomato soup here(gazpacho? Can’t remember) and ate it outside in the sidewalk. Really good bread too. Iced coffee wasn’t great. Good service though.

B&G done just right. Had the basic and haven’t had any this good since southern Indiana. Would be in serious biscuits trouble if I lived here

I love me some biscuits. I love me some gravy. I’m from the south so I make buttermilk biscuits all the time! Is Biscuit Bitch the best biscuit place in Seattle? I gotta think on that one, but they make some darn good biscuit sandwiches. Gluten free options too. I usually get the Bitchwich(eggs, sausage and cheese). Yum! I like that you can get lattes as well. If you are walking around at the Market take a quick break here!

I’m not a huge fan of biscuits and gravy being burned out of it growing up. However, these had great texture and the gravy was extremely flavorful. My husband loved it! We both had easy bitches but he snuck in adding bacon. So jealous! Now I can’t wait to go next time and try the smokin hot bitch!(That seemed like what alot of people were ordering).

Gravy is smooth and flavorful. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The staff is helpful. There is a constant line of people, but the food is out quick. Very little seating but didn’t seem to be a problem on a weekday. Hit this place up!

Biscuit Bitch has some bitchen meals and this small café. I had the bitchwitch, a biscuit sandwich with ham, eggs and cheese. It was like a fast food breakfast sandwich multiplied by infinity plus a sprinkle of goodness. If I lived close I think I would order a bitchwitch everyday.

Great food, fast, clean. There’s a few tables to sit down too. The entire menu looked incredible and the pricing is very good for the portion sizes!

My review is technically for«Biscuit Bitch», which Caffe Lieto«transforms into» at night, but I wanted to post my review here as well since I can’t wait to come back: Ohhhhhhhh how I’ve wanted to try this place ever since I heard of it! They did NOT disappoint!!! My boyfriend and I split a «Canadian Bitch» — Biscuit, maple peanut butter, and bacon. It was BEAUTIFUL. A bit messy but their biscuits are PERFECT. We also got a Smoking Hot Seattle Bitch and Cheesy Pork N’ Bitch. The hot link was a bit too hot for me(who doesn’t handle spice very well), but this was the best of the three things we got. I will GLADLY drive to the city again just to get this… Even if my mouth is on fire. :) I wasn’t quite as impressed with the Cheesy Pork N’ Bitch, but it was very good. I never thought I’d say this and I’m ashamed I’m about to, but there was almost TOOMUCH bacon on it.(I know… Awful). I would probably get it again, but of the three, it was my least favorite. Thank you guys for making our first experience there so wonderful! We can’t wait to come back!!!

It sounds like a nice Italian place but it’s so small. Tiny. There was a line bigger then the restaurant. We sat down and looked around and everyone was eating out of paper bowls. Not at all what we expected. It’s all just paper bowls of biscuits and gravy. Ok fine. It’s not a sitdown place at all. It’s a stand-in-line-yell-your-order-serve-yourself-plastic-forks place. Why are u called«caffe» Lieto. Should be called food dumped in paper bowls.

Great variety! Totally original and creative menu. Delicious food, excellent coffee and teas. Quick and efficient and friendly service. I seriously regret trying anything else in the neighborhood because these folks set the bar too high, their competition can’t do as well.

Café Lieto, meet biscuit bitch. Same place, two different ways to look at it. I guess it works for a two-fer review! Go and get your bitch on.

Gravy, biscuits, hot links, fried egg… Yaaaasss please!!! Creative, amazingly simple, but super flavorful! This place is not for the diet conscious ’cause it will definitely tip you over to the side of über yummy but über fatty and heavy. But for a brunch item post workout, it hits the spot for sure. I’m definitely coming back but I’m gonna have to «budget» this into my food intake. Overall service was quick and friendly, it’s for sure a crowded space(we were lucky and got a table but don’t expect to grab a seat when you visit), food was solid, and price was fairly reasonable for what you got.

Oh my goodness!!! Biscuits galore!!! Oh my!!! Caffe Lieto aka The Biscuit Bitch is AMAZING!!! Any time I work in downtown I make it my mission to visit the Biscuit Bitch. They are that good! They have such a vast selection of biscuits but when I go I order the original Bitchwitch. It’s a GIGANTIC biscuit with sausage, egg, cheese, and special sauce. I have no idea what the special sauce is but it is wonderful. I love how it oozes on top of the egg and just makes it one big giant sandwich full of delisioness and tastyness. My mouth is watering whilst writing this review. Great customer service, a little on the small side, but some of the best things come in small packages. Go there and check it out! You will not regret it.

Got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and thought it was delicious. Then, again, I haven’t really met a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich that I didn’t like. Tiny place and hard to move around. Went here on a Sunday morning and waited about a ½ hour for food. I would say the Arnold Palmer leaves something to be desired. The lemonade was way too sour and the iced tea didn’t really cut it.
