I come here occasionally because it is the only option near by. They don’t follow their posted hours — there’s nothing worse than arriving ready for a coffee than finding them closed. Sometimes they have food offerings, sometimes not, the coffee is just okay and the staff is unfriendly.

Great neighborhood café. The tea and caprese panini were both delicious. I love the room in the back with interesting books for sale.

Just a tiny café! Made a great latte and quite a nice mushroom and Swiss panini. The one employee who was there was very nice and social while waiting for the sandwich to be warmed. Will be back!

The two times that I’ve been in I’ve had two different baristas who were nothing but nice and friendly. No condescension to be found. Cute little shop, sure there no windows in the back room which several reviews complain about, but you do what you can with the location. It’s obviously not your typical café… But I like it.

This is not my favorite place – although sometimes my only real option due to the location of my office. It kind of embodies a lot of the snobbery associated with Seattle coffee shops – but the quality just doesn’t measure up. The baristas are generally cold, and unfriendly(although I’ve seen them be friendly with other«cooler» customers). They can rarely answer my questions about the products they’re selling, and act like its a burden that I’m asking a question at all. I do like the décor – but the experience is just always unpleasant enough that I don’t go back for months, until I’ve forgotten how unpleasant my last experience is. The drinks are ok – better than SBUX for sure – not definitely not top-tier Seattle quality either. They way over-split my cold brew. Super watered down. Won’t be doing that again. Be warned: the bagels are just Costco/bulk bagels… and they send you off with a packet of Philadelphia cream cheese and a floppy plastic knife when you order said Costco bagel. The quality isn’t awesome – but it isn’t terrible. I’d be a regular customer if they were just nicer. I wrote this review after having similar experiences at varying times of the day over the course of about 7 – 8 visits.

I’ve been in here a few times because its close to the office of one of clients. The service has never been great, however, this last time it was monumentally bad. They weren’t, friendly or helpful and I was made to feel like pulling them away from their phone to make my coffee was a huge inconvenience.

So I think I’m a bit sour about this place because @ Café closed around the corner and I really miss it, so now I come here instead. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not BAD, but it’s not great, either. I live in the apartments right next door so I stop in every now and then because it’s convenient, but unfortunately I just don’t really like it. For starters, the drinks and the food seem a bit overpriced(oh and there’s a $ 5 minimum for credit/debit cards — lame — so bring cash if you want to avoid that) and I’ve never been all that happy with anything I’ve ordered. All the«vintage inspired» candy up front is cute, but again, a bit overpriced. There aren’t many places to sit in the front, and I don’t know anyone who would really want to leave their house to go sit in the back of a windowless coffee shop. Sadly it’s sort of drab back there and a bit uninviting. Nice for meetings because of the large tables, sure, but not ideal. The main reason I don’t like this place though is simply because their name is «Café Weekend» but they’re only open until 2… Every day… Even on the weekends. They also have a permanent sign in their window that says, «Yes, we’re open!» which always makes me roll my eyes since they’re actually never open. Ha, so, overall, it’s fine if you’re in a bind and need something quick in the area(between the hours of 8 – 2) but it’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit.

Love this little local café. Has an awesome array of design type products, and you can definitely tell the owner of from a design background. The coffee if exactly what you’d want from a small, local café. Also has a back room which is perfect for meetings.

This place is really nice! It looks small but there is so much going on(in a good way)! First off they have cute little jars of candy and toys you can pick out a few for a quarter! As for the staff she was very nice! Even said she liked my shirt! I order tea and it came in a cute set! All the food looked really good! The only reason i took away a star was the drink menu was very basic coffee/tea orders and the bathroom was clean but cluttered! If you are in the neighborhood it is a must see! Plus they have a craft room ^~^

They have a big well-lit area in the back w/large tables. Ideal place to work on projects or to study. There’s also art supplies for you to use if needed. Love the atmosphere — it’s not on a busy street, so definitely a hidden gem. Will be visiting again! Minus one start because it’s only opened until 2pm everyday :(

I stumbled across café weekend when I was looking for a place to hang out for a couple of hours while waiting for my car to be fixed. It’s a cool little place with great ambiance. Good coffee and friendly barista. The only gripe is the slow wi-fi connection(1.72Mbps down /0.47 Mbps up). Only two laptops in sight. It’s a nice place to relax though, would definitely come again.

This place is cool and all. I like going there before or after I boulder across the street. I just don’t get how you can call your business café weekend and close at 2:00 on said weekends? I don’t get it. Also, they have a permanent sign above the door that says«yes we are open» when they have some really short hours. Besides that gripe, this place is good.

Despite the name, this café actually opens during the weekdays. I like this place, it’s cute and cozy and have an extra room so you can actually do some work if you choose to. Plus it’s one of the few café that I have near where I live.

Here you will find the most adorable selection of small pretilly(is that a word?) labeled international candies in glass jars for cents each! I love it. P. S. The coffee is also superb. Try a mocha. They are bittersweet and true to the original spirit of espresso. Rie is a great barista, and always friendly!

Super clean and quiet, this(very) hidden gem is located a block off of Rainier. I’m often found in spacious back room having meetings or planning a project. There are several large tables and nice meetings spaces. The ceilings are quite tall so it never feels cramped. The drinks are well priced, however to use a card(debit or otherwise) you have to make a minimum payment of $ 5.00, which always seems shady to me. I need to remember the cash. The service can be a bit surly and is not infrequently slow but the drinks once made are generally worth it. There isn’t a huge amount in the realm of food — but what there is … is good. Quiche and cookies are both delightful(although not together).

I so want to love this place but seriously, lose the ‘tude. I felt like I needed to apologize for trying to engage said ‘tude in polite conversation, I also asked and paid for two chais, which were weak, literally.

This place is a great little hidden gem in the Jackson place/ID neighborhood. I love the clean space, the fun décor, and most of all coffee they serve is great. I especially enjoy hanging out in the back space since they opened that back area up. You can tell that the owner takes a lot of love and care into setting that place up, running the café, and is committed in building the community. They organize a lot fun events through out the year like block parties, flea markets, open studios, and holiday/seasonal events. It reminds me a lot of cute hidden cafes in Japan, which are usually the best and feels really special.

I find it really ironic that a place with the word«Weekend» in their name ISN’T open on a sunday… I stopped by on a Saturday morning to get a quick iced mocha. 2 hipsters were behind the counter and one woman was making an order. I was barely given any attention. No hello, nothing. I could tell it was the barista’s first week there because the cashier had to teacher how to make my drink. My mocha was super bitter :( I like the decorations of the café, but it screams HIPSTER. Like they’re trying just a little too hard. Atleast I know I don’t ever have to come back.

Despite other complaints about space, they recently opened up a back room which is cool and very open — high ceilings, a couple of large tables, some eclectic, but clean décor. The good: Really cute, hip but not too hip, clean place with friendly barista. It seemed to me that most of their coffee was either locally and/or organically sourced. And, they have cute jars with all kinds of different candy all around the coffee shop — fun points! The ironic: It’s called Café Weekend… but isn’t open on Sundays. The bad: Open from 8am-2pm daily… who can make it here during those hours? Okay, yes, I did but that was because I had a random day off. The drinks: I had the chai tea latte — the chai flavor was really, really good, though in the future I would ask for it to be a little sweeter. Mi amiga had an Americano, you can’t really go wrong here. This place is hiding just off of Rainier, but it’s worth stopping in.
