The new old Paseos? This place has amazing sandwiches. The bread is a little smaller than the original Paseo but same great taste. The sandwich is still very messy, juicy, and greasy! So make sure to grab some extra hand wipes. The caramelized onions are the best. My only complaint is that the bread is smaller.

Oh, that was great. Fine cuisine! I’m very satisfied. Compliments to the chef! The Spidey’s Web and Cajun burgers were very agreeable. Quite an enjoyable spread… I’ll be sure to dine here again, in my dreams.

So I wrote this review earlier this week and am just now getting to it to post — I see they are CLOSED. I can’t say I’m disappointed. I am curious if the health department shut them down. Just saying. =========================== Well…This is only my fourth one-star review but it is BYFAR the worst place we have gone. I cannot BELIEVE that this place is rated as highly as it is. I was so excited because we had a Groupon for this location and happened to be in the area(02⁄21). We LOVE burgers and are constantly looking for new places to try so were pretty excited. Because there is a positive in everything, here are the things we liked: 1. The bun of the burger — Nice and toasted and great quality. 2. The fries and onion rings — Nice and crispy, perfect temp, really warm. 3. The comic book décor — Kind of a different theme and one we didn’t hate. 4. Customer Service — The girl that waited on us was very friendly. I almost regret giving them a one-star but just can’t give them more. Now for the bad: 1. THEFILTH — If the place hadn’t been so absolutely disgusting, I probably would have given it a three-star(the boyfriend would have given it a two-star). As soon as we walked up we noticed they had a nice outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, on the other side of the seating area, it was full of trash and garbage. As soon as we got in to the restaurant and saw behind the counter, we should have left. The floor has a horrible paint job, which is fine, but what is not fine is all the crumbs and stuff on the floor. I got a picture of the floor, complete with a Gatorade bottle under the grill and a big old nasty grease blob next to the fryer. It was gross. Then we sat down with our food and one of the employees came to clean off our table… With Windex. I cannot explain how grateful I am that we do not have food poisoning today. 2. Choice of TV Show — As we’re sitting to wait to eat our burger, we hear the TV show playing on the TV just above us. The boyfriend recognized it as a show by comedian Kevin Hart. He happened to be talking about sex toys and female genitalia. I thought that was an interesting choice of shows to put on the TV especially considering that the place has a comic-book feel to it. We don’t personally care for that type of comedy, it didn’t bother us too much(we’re adults after all). I can’t imagine that the family that came in with their young children behind us appreciated it and if we had kids with us, we definitely wouldn’t have appreciated it. 3. Burger seasoning — The burger was just a burger. They put some sauce on the burger to try to season it but the actual burger wasn’t seasoned ATALL — It was just a meat patty. A little salt and pepper goes a LONG way. 4. Burger grease — We bit into our burgers and they were greasy. Not juicy, greasy. On top of it not being seasoned at all, it just wasn’t good. 5. Heater — When we first walked in there was a heater right on the counter that blasted heat in your face. I wouldn’t have marked them down on stars for this, but also didn’t appreciate it. It was 55 out and not really all that chilly so I just didn’t understand the need for the heater blasting heat in my face. We will definitely not be back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Man I love a good burger. When I lived in Ballard this was a good alternative to Red Mill. Take the kids, they will love the comic book theme.

Everything I’ve had here is mind-blowing delicious. I recommend trying any of the burgers with cajun sauce, especially their salmon burger. The environment feels like a comic book store turned burger joint — the staff even has a box of action figures that they give to young diners. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who owns a Fitbit, counts kale as a diet staple, or likes to monitor their caloric intake. For a second, I was tempted to give them 4 stars for playing atrocious music like Sum 41 and Ke$ha, but I decided to do the mature thing. After all, you’re Burger Hero, not Music Hero.

Wonderful! My family and I loved this place. The service was great and our waiter was very nice. The food was very good and it seemed like they really cared what they were serving us. I will definitely be back!

I could eat here everyday, if it was possible! The burgers are amazing! Big and juicy, great flavor! Customer service is out of the world! Great atmosphere! Red Mill & Dicks has nothing on this place

I had the blue superman and my husband had the massive hulk. Both were pretty good but I’d say the massive hulk is a little much. The highlight for me was the french fries; they are extra battered and fried perfectly. The sweet potato fries were also quite good. Overall, the place is kind of divey and small, but the customer service is wonderful. As we were looking over the menu, someone brought us each a glass of water! It might not be my favorite burger, but I’d come back to this place if we were in the area looking for a decent burger.

This review is for the food only. I could care less about the atmosphere when it comes to a good burger. So far(in the area) I have been to, 8 oz burger, Ballard brothers, red mill, and giddy up. I ordered: Super Bad Boy Luther + Fries = $ 10.28 Grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, bacon, house Cajun sauce. The first bite into this burger is how the first bite into every burger should taste like. Hot, juicy, crunchy, flavorful, with a heat that tickles the tongue but doesn’t overpower the taste… I didn’t put the burger down. The taste didn’t change from the first bite to the last! The flavor of the burger is almost indescribable. They take it right off the grill and into your hands. I told them multiple times how delicious the burger was. I asked them to overcook the bacon because I like it extra crunchy and they had no problem with it. The size of the burger was perfect. I had to hold it with two hands all the way until the end. I don’t know how you could make this burger any better. The fries were perfect. Crunchy and hot through and through. Thick but not steak fries. Overall very good. Again, this rating is for the quality and taste of the food. Don’t fool yourself go and try a burger here. For the price and quality this is a steal. I have paid $ 14 for a small, flavorless, lukewarm burger at other places. Burger Hero will not disappoint!

«Don’t want no mediocre, I won’t hit no mediocre» — T.I. Never have T. I & I agreed more. Unilocalers, you led me astray here. The food is mediocre(at best). SMALL restaurant(better for take-out than dine-in) and the floor was so sticky I lost my shoes multiple times just walking in! Extensive menu but know your item by both its superhero name & regular name because staff might only know one or the other(which was very confusing). I got the veggie burger. Bun fell apart, velveeta cheese was disgusting(not too mention super runny for about 30 seconds and then hard for the rest of my meal). Boyfriend got the blue burger & didn’t like it. Salt & Pepper fries are normal fries with a S*** Load of Garlic Parmesan Salt & the Phoenix fries were not good– just greasy, salty & again with the terrible velveeta cheese tasting like plastic. I wanted animal-style fries & just got indigestion :(However, their«special» sauce for dipping was VERY Good. Customer service was OK but I was expecting it to be AMAZING. It’s honestly not even worth mentioning if it wasn’t for all the other reviews. For the quality of the restaurant & the food I expected our meal to be much cheaper but it was about $ 30 for 2 burgers(including a $ 6 veggie burger), a milkshake & the fries. Thank god for the Groupon. I know my friends love this place but I probably won’t return.

If your reading this Steven, your burgers are awesome! Thank you so much for the great and warm hospitality! The huckleberry shake is delicious! Got the Hulk with pineapple stacked in and the hubby got the Hawaiian Storm along with an order of the yummy onion rings and Phoenix fries that I heard about. We live in Lynnwood and brave through traffic for his burgers! Glad to see that they’re running out of food bc they’re always so busy, that says a lot! Till next time yumminess!

This place needs to get it together. I walked in around 12:30 and there were a father and son eating in a corner so I knew somebody had to like it. Right? I wish I got to try the food because the cook told me «ten minutos!» Meaning the guy who was supposed to take my order and who spoke english would be back in 10 minutes. I waited for 15 and left. Terrible

I have to agree with what most of the Unilocalers are saying about this place, the customer service is almost too good to be true! I was blown away with how personable and welcoming the owner was, I could have gave this place easily 5 stars before I even tasted my food because he made that good of an impression the moment we stepped into the door. More restaurants can learn a thing or two from here. And then the food came… Huge, delicious burgers and great fries. The owner first brought out complimentary fried mushrooms just because I ordered the mushroom burger so he wanted me to try them and boy, they were tasty! The patio was just the cherry on top, perfect for a Seattle summer night!

Now that’s one fine burger experience, mister! Last night my husband and I, craving a good respite from our weekday grilled fish and raw veggie diet, decided to check out Burger Hero. Even though I pass it every day going back and forth to work, I hadn’t stopped in, thinking it was a typical, mediocre hole-in-the-wall burger joint. Boy, was I wrong. We got there a little after 8 pm(hubby wouldn’t come in, thinking it would be «skeevy»). Only one other customer in the place. Stood at the counter in front of the grill and the guy cooking turns, flashes a big grin and says, «Hey there. What a great smile you have. Thanks for coming in. What can I get for you?» Immediately felt right at home, especially because he made sure I had water to hydrate as I waited on a warm Seattle evening. Ordered the Ballard burger for the better half and a mushroom swiss burger for me. Also an order of garlic and salt fries, an order of sweet potato fries and a strawberry shake. Really impressed that nothing was made ahead of time and the burgers and fries were cooked only after ordered. Grill guy starts our order, finishes the other guy’s order and kept me entertained with stories of his love of action heroes, traffic hassles from Seafair, all the sailors in port, and other typical waiting-for-order chat. Very personable, friendly guy. He alone would have made it worth the trip. In my experience it’s rare to have such a friendly experience at a burger shack. Got the order back to the better half in the car and we raced home to eat. Tear into the packages and … WOW … what a great flavor. Juicy, perfectly cooked beef, fresh and delicious toppings, lovely bun. And the fries. ohh la la! Cooked just right, seasoned just right. Oh, and the shake, full of berries, a tad thinner than most, but incredibly flavorful. This was possibly the best burger/fry/shake combination I’ve had in this town. Both meals filled us up totally with enough leftovers to be reheated for lunch today. Four meals for just over 20 bucks. What a deal! I can’t wait for next weekend when we can once again set aside our grilled fish and raw veggie regimen and grab more deliciousness from our new hero, Burger Hero. Check it out for yourself.

I have eaten here approx 5 times and I must say this is my new favorite burger place in Ballard. Everything is made to order so it’s fresh off the grill and delicious. Tonight I had the Hulk Burger and the Phoenix Fries and… well… Just look at the pictures I posted and you tell me! :) Yes it is a tiny hole in the wall place but they are friendly and eager to please and every time I left there, I felt like I got a damn good meal for a damn good price. I like Red Mill plenty, and it is closer to my house, but I like Burger Hero better. Yes they have some comic book stuff all over the walls, but honestly my attention was on the grub :) Go there and give them a try… Tell them«The Hulk» sent ya LOL

After hearing about this place went there in hope of getting delicious burger. Place is small, no comfortable seating, not that clean. Asked the cashier for the best seller or whatever she can recommend for the first timer. She have recommended something that I don’t even remember the name for and fries. Both was just OK, I remember. Nothing memorable.

I try to find reasons to give a place 4 stars, knowing that when I make a 5 star review I’m pretty excited about it and that can wane. And with this place the reasons I came up with were the location isn’t ideal, the parking can be rough, it’s not fancy. And that’s it. It’s the nerdy salt of the earth. The guy who owns the place, Steven is the most unassuming genuine guy ever. If you bring in your kids he drops everything to lavish them with toys. He always has a smile and tries to make everyone happy. And to top it off they are some of the best burgers ever.

Had some great atmosphere with the comics and toys. A snug little place, the food was great, especially for the price. The burger isn’t anything super special, but they make a quality product that you’ll no doubt enjoy. The fries are also a step or two up from your normal boring plain potatoes. Overall, I came away a happy customer.

After eating at Burger Hero recently, I’ve now made a New Year’s Resolution to walk out of any place that makes me feel funny. I don’t care if I seem rude, I’m walking out. I should have done that after being entering Burger Hero but it was late, my hubby and I were hungry, and Red Mill Burgers was closed. The thing is their burgers are not bad(not worth the higher prices they’re charging though) and have a nice char on them but the place is just filthy dirty. While we were snarfing down our burgers(yes, we were so hungry we just ate them on-site despite feeling a little weird about the place), the cook actually sprinkled a bottle of floor cleaner on the floor and started brushing it down with a broom. Why he wasn’t using a mop, I’ll never know. My stomach felt funny the rest of the night thinking about how dirty that place was and how I was stupid to eat there. Don’t know if it was the burger or my anxious thoughts, but I had a very upset tums that night. Never going back.

Burger Hero was super yummy! Haha– get it? Super??? Anyhow. Went there before a tattoo appointment, my husband and I just got burgers– no fries. Everything was a little more pricey than I’m used to… but DAYUM– was that a good burger. Sloppy, warm things warm, cold things cold– fresh tasting veggies and bun. I ended up with a puddle on my plate after eating, which is in this case a great sign. I love the comic book theme, but it could be made a little less muddled. It’s a really tiny shop, so it’s a little overwhelming in parts. The only other suggestion I have is that the vents and windowsills could use cleaning, which as it’s SUCH a small place– shouldn’t be too difficult. :) I’ll spring for fries next time.
