Why aren’t all restaurants like Boat Street? Comfortable, quaint, affordable delicious food. I had a nice portion of Pulled Pork stew that was perfection. We were early for Happy Hour and sat alone on the peaceful patio under twinkling lights. What a treat on this lovely warm evening.

We recently hosted a private event at Boat Street for 30+. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most savvy duo of hosts we could’ve hoped for. From that moment on we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves along with the rest of our guests. Our service was excellent, as was the food. The décor they provided was exactly as promised, beautiful and warm. We floated through the evening confident and very pleased. Thank you Boat Street!

First experience, delicious! Encore! Encore! Boat Street is an interesting and welcome divergence from other restaurants on the Seattle scene. They offer a small menu of high-end food at lower prices. Most of their appetizers are priced at $ 8 to $ 9, their entrees are in the $ 20s, and desserts are $ 8 as well. Great, unique, and tasty food at an awesome price! On Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights they even offer a 2 or 3 course prix-fixe menu for $ 34/$ 39, respectively. Less than $ 40 for a three-course gourmet meal? Dang! The wine-by-the-glass list is very limited(only one red available) but we did enjoy the wines and cocktails that we tasted. I hear that there’s even a happy hour available from 5 to 6 on Fri, Sat, and Mon. I don’t know how the prices could get any better or even what is offered during HH but I’m in! If you are a foodie or even just a bit adventurous in your food choices, Boat Street should be on your list of restaurants to try.

On the Memorial day, nine of our Japanese friends decided to have a branch at this café. Maybe because we were talking in Japanese among ourselves, the server was not friendly and at a time he was hostile toward us. When we got an appetizer, we found a hair in it. When we told this to the server, he refused to see it. We had to dig it out and show it to him before he took it back to the kitchen. A hair in the food! I ordered a chicken sandwich. The chicken was as thing as a paper. In addition, the baguette was a few days old and it was so chewy that I could hardly bit it off. I had to pay $ 13 for this bad sandwich. When I asked the server what kind of black tea they have, he had no idea. I had to order the $ 3 tea without knowing what kind of tea I would get. We were told that they could accept only two credit cards where we had nine people. We had to scramble to find enough cash. They charged us 20 percent tip included in the bill. After we paid cash to this server, he chased us at the exit door and said we were two dollars short out of $ 277 cash we gave. We knew we were short by just 50 cents. He could not count the cash right and tried to get two more dollars from us. At that point, we all decided to leave this place without giving him any more money.

Tucked away at the bottom level of a building, this is the perfect restaurant for a quiet and relaxing dinner. The space is classy and secluded. It feels like you’ve discovered a hidden dining establishment at the border between Belltown and Queen Anne. The outdoor space is really nice on a summer day. Two starters: Burratta was so light and creamy and paired well with the fresh thinly sliced strawberry. I’ll definitely try to recreate this at home since it was so delicious! The smoked trout was the perfect summer starter. Great flavor and still moist with a hint of smokiness that complimented well with the house made rye bread. Shared the Main: Seared Steak — sitting on a bed of roasted asparagus and swimming in a white creamy house bearnaise sauce, and nestled by sliced crispy edged potatoes, with steak cooked to perfection. Each entré is accompanied with French baguette and tossed green salad. You know the food is good when you keep smashing the bread into the plate to soak up all the meat juice and bearnaise sauce. The black and white dessert was like having an affair on my diet. Picture this: vanilla ice cream topped with caramel and fudge sprinkled with sexy sea salt. I was about to lick the bowl but then the waiter walked up to check on us and I decided not to embarrass the fiancé. Wait staff loves food. I love meeting people that talk about food as if its their one true love. Five stars for top notch ambiance, great food and passionate wait staff.

Stopped in for brunch because the place we originally wanted to go to was crowded, but we were glad we stopped by :3. Good food, a fair amount of options for brunch, and the drinks were nice too. Plus the coffee comes in like a soup cup! Yay! Certainly worth the stop in.

Do you have a lifetime to wait for food and your check??? You might not get either before you actually die. The food was mediocre and the service was sloth style. If you are human and have a life to live, make a better life decision than I did. If you come for bruch, you won’t leave until 3 which is basically dinner. The food isn’t filling, not even warm, and tasteless. The waitress didn’t want to split the bill then told us there’d be a 5% extra charge for using more than 2 credit cards. Seriously? Ugh, I don’t understand where my life went today. so much time spent waiting…

Just awful service and average food. They are trying desperately to be a French bistro, with a comical take in the disdain for your dinners attitude, but without the skills in the kitchen to back it up. Let’s be clear. It is not a great space. It is a faux«ambience» set in a sterile concrete basement suite of an office building. Paris it is not. Of our 3 meals, 1 was the wrong meal, 1 arrived in two tranches –20 mins apart, and the other was cold. Don’t expect an espresso either, they don’t do that. Seems like dinners desperately want to enjoy this trendy(can this location ever be «trendy») spot and are willing to put up with appalling service and average food.

The lighting, music, decorations, everything was SOOOOO cute… Went here for early bday/valentines dinner with the family and I fell in love with this restaurant! You dont see much places like these for the price you pay… Got the 3 course dinners with the bill coming out to $ 200 something for 4 people… This place was like a pinterest board… Cant say enough to express how cute this place was! Definitely a cute place for a romantic dinner… Not big enough for a huge party so just bring your SO. Haha ;) i shalll be coming back for brunch sometime… But definitely the dinner here is a must here!

Holy fuqamole. This place is amazing. I went here myself for brunch on Sunday and was able to get a bar seat pretty quickly. I started with their homemade biscuit with honey butter. Dear god it was the most amazing biscuit that has ever graced my taste buds. The honey butter was 5⁄7. The pork confit on couscous was delectable. The round balls of grain were delicately textured and the pork was 5⁄7. Finished with the amaretto bread pudding and o m g it was a strong 5⁄7. So flavor. Much delicious. PLS come here you will not regret. 5⁄7 B O I Z. UPDATE: Came here a week after and when I ordered the amaretto bread pudding, the waiter asked if I had written a Unilocal review the week before which I had. I got it on the house haha, they must’ve recognized me from my Unilocal profile picture! Some awesome stuff :)

Restaurant — nice open layout with good lighting. Food — very good. Service — terrible. This is the reason for the 2 stars. We had 6 people in our party. We got seated right after a 5 people party. They got their food right away. We waited over 35mins for our food. We even asked our waiter twice to check on our food. When we did get food, we didn’t get the side dishes(smoked salmon and sausage) until we literally emptied our plates. The waiter did not ever come to our table to check us during the entire meal. REALBADSERVICEEXPERIENCE!

They have biscuits that I’d fight a pitbull for. …not sure why the pitbull wants the biscuit, but anyway! Their biscuits are slathered in butter and honey. Perfectly crumbly with the right amount of sweetness. My boyfriend stole the rest of the biscuit and then I was sad :( Came here for a late brunch on Saturday. No wait and we were seated promptly. Our order was taken quickly and food came out quickly too. My pork potato and poblano hash was YUMYUMDELICIOUS and perfectly accompanied by Apple slices to cool down your mouth and a salad. Boyfriend had a scrambled egg dish but for once I didn’t steal off his plate. Sorry guys. I know you’re disappointed. They also have GREAT french press coffee. And adorable sugar cubes! Who does that anymore??? Our brunch ran us $ 53 before tip. Not a cheap meal but it’s go on special occasions worthy. :)

Tucked away in a pretty little corner lies this cute restaurant. Before you even enter the place, take a moment and observe the exterior of it. Lined with cute Christmas lights and seeing the wooden panes, this restaurant gives off a nice rustic charm to it. Once you entered, the place feels pretty spacious while having an intimate feel to it when you are seated at your tables. With little candles burning and the nice interior setting, this is a pretty nice spot for dates as well as group gatherings too. Also, reservations are highly recommended. Came here for brunch with a group of friends and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Like what other Unilocal reviews have stated, brunch here can be a hit or miss. For me, it was more of a miss based on the meal I had. For food, I ordered the salmon eggs benedict. Being a huge eggs benedict fan, I was pretty excited to try out this dish since the server had recommended it. Upon trying the dish, it was a bit of a letdown. The bread was too tough to cut through with a knife, and the taste of salmon was hardly noticeable. As for the eggs itself, this lacked flavor and was a bit underwhelming to what I’m used to in comparison to other brunch places. I really did like the fruit and salad pairing with the dish though since not a lot of other brunch places offer both options when ordering a dish like eggs benedict. Overall, service was good and the wait for food wasn’t too long. Prices here are typical brunch prices($ 10+ per item minus the appetizers /drinks). Do note, if you’re in a group, there is an auto 20% gratuity fee included and an additional 5% charge if your party uses more than 2 cards for the bill. I would give this place another shot but for dinner only due to the good reviews and yummy pictures.

When my husband and I can’t decide where to go for brunch, we tend to end up a Boat Street. It may partially be because they are so close to where we live, but also because it’s high quality food. We have been lucky enough to almost never have to wait for a table. The décor is inviting and trendy without being pretentious which is a hard balance to find. Between the two of us, we have tried quite a few things on their menu. I am a fan of their benedicts, especially the Chevre. You also can’t go wrong with their cornmeal custard cake. Their prices are also very fair for the quality of food. We are excited to find another brunch place we like to add into our rotation.

I’m not gonna lie, the only reason I picked this place for dinner was for their famous bread pudding. We made dinner reservations for 4 and it was a good thing we did. Their weekend prix fixed menu looked like a good deal — 3 courses and a glass of wine or beer for $ 37. For a starter I had the grilled pancetta. It came with bread, brûléed fig halves, arugula, and a bit of mustard. It was a good combination of flavors but nothing too special or out of the ordinary. My BF loved his chicken liver mousse. For the main, I had the braised beef brisket, which came with salad and bread. It was good but nothing to write home about. It had the flavors of a beef stew. BF’s pork shoulder was better — fatty and tender. The bread pudding is even better than what I had imagined it to be! I loved the hint of almond and it was served perfectly warm with cream, which was all soaked up by the end. I loved the crusty bread pieces which added some variation to the texture. Ugh! So good! $ 6 a la Carte for this dessert is a steal! The glass of wine was about 12 ounces and was served in a tumbler. Service was pleasant and quick. Will definitely be back for that bread pudding, and brunch.

Great brunch spot ! Their menu is simple — but has enough variety for everyone. The benedicts are cooked perfectly, the scrambles are good, but the star of the show are their desserts ! The puffins are so light and fluffy — we would go back just for these :) I really like the layout of the place and the outdoor patio style seating too. Its never too crowded and has a hip trendy vibe. The service is friendly too. Parking is usually easy to find nearby. Food is in the $ 10-$ 15 range and you get a good serving size. I just wished they also served fresh pressed juice instead of bottles.

What a simple yet adorable place! It’s definitely for a classier menu, maybe dates or if you’re catching up with a girlfriend(I only say it because I know you ladies would really appreciate this ambiance). We went for a late brunch around 2pm and it was dying down for sure since they closed at 2:30pm. The waitress was really friendly and had no problem giving us a table(as well as another pair of ladies that came in 10 minutes after us). The menu is small but everything seemed so good! They use fresh ingredients and cook them to perfection. I had to try the cornmeal custard cake as it seemed like their staple, and boy did I LOVE it! I love corn stuff in general so I was excited about trying it in a way I never had. The maple syrup wasn’t overwhelming at all and complimented the cake really well. The sausage it came with was good as well but nothing I would say is spectacular. I would order this again for sure. We also had the salmon dish which had a basil pesto that was so good! The fish was cooked so perfectly and flaked easily. We got a side salad instead of potatoes and even the simple, lightly dressed salad was really good! I would definitely recommend this for a small intimate meal, the place is small and you may run the chance of rubbing elbows with your neighbor so maybe not the best for a large group unless planned for with them in advance.

Sunday brunch — avg wait time is 45 minutes. Biscuit w/butter and honey: Served very hot and fresh. A large helping of butter, but surprisingly doesn’t overpower the bite. The biscuit is a nice buttery, crumbly and spongy texture. Perfect amount of sweetness to the savory of the butter and biscuit. Classic Eggs Benedict: Very good! The use of baguette as the base was really well done. The ratios were appropriate and allowed for the ability to taste every ingredient(bread, cheese, bacon, tomato, egg). Cornmeal Cake: Good. This has an interesting dance of salty sweet on your tongue. Dipping it in the maple syrup puddle is necessary. Texture is good but crumbles easily(as one would expect cornbread to) Bread Pudding: OMG — Yum! I would come here to only eat this. I won’t go into detail because it was all around perfect.
