Great coffee, awesome service, and affordable prices. The morning girls are great — super friendly and know most of their customers drinks with out asking. A few times there has been a long line but when I pull up to the window my coffee is already waiting for me. Love it!

Their coffee tastes better and they are more consistent than a lot of the other stands in the shoreline area. I’m a barista in the neighborhood too and I prefer BRC over my own café when I’m not the one making the drinks. I like most of the girls but some are quicker to engage in conversation than others. One girl just kinda looks at you waiting for you to say your order while some of the others will take interest in your plans for the day, which is of course the preferred style of interaction since being a barista is largely about customer service. The best aspects of their business is their consistency and quality of coffee.

For a drive-up coffee place, this is one of my faves. As usual, most drive-ups have pretty sweet drinks on their menus. These drinks are sweet but, during this hot summer, have been my go-to treats! I haven’t tried the black coffee, espresso, or americano yet but this is really the place to go if you want something sugary and milky. The baristas are also super nice and always attempt at causal chit-chat, which is always nice as I am home with an infant for the majority of my day!

Enroute to the grocery store, we drove past this place and saw the sign last minute so we turned around to try it out. When we pulled up they explained their machine was being serviced, apologized and asked us to come back in 15 min. We stopped by afterwards and greeted by a friendly barista. They were patient with us, knowledgable and apologetic about the issue earlier. Their coffee is amazing! We def intend to make several trips back

Nothing worse than paying $ 5 for a crappy coffee. You won’t get that here! I was first introduced to Black Rock Coffee in Beaverton, Oregon. It was love at first sip! Drinks are very consistent and super tasty. Quick and friendly service too :)

My favorite neighborhood coffee shop. The baristas are very nice, remember your drink and are very fast. Always good coffee and I am a regular, a couple times a week. My only complaint is that there are no other Black Rocks in the Seattle area. They’ve spoiled me to other coffee stands. Also great price!

Cute coffee stand that makes a consistent cup. Baristas will learn your drink in about a week, and are fast and efficient. A regular stop for me!

I used to work next door to this location. They aren’t a horrible coffee stand at all, just not the most amazing. Friendly service and reasonable pricing, plus location had me stopping there quite a bit when I worked in the area. They don’t have a huge selection of savory food items, i’m more of a savory girl than a sweet tooth girl. Also– maybe it’s just me, but I had expected from the name Black Rock that they would be playing some kickass rock music at their stand– not so, it’s mostly top 40 crap, and I don’t know if that’s standard or they let the baristas choose what they like to listen to. In any case, if you are in the neighborhood, stop through and get some decent coffee, especially if you like to shake your butt to that Justin Bieber guy or something.

I moved here from Oregon, where there are lots of Black Rock locations around the state. Once I found out that Seattle had its own BR, I drove totally out of the way to go visit. The baristas are friendly and their drinks are consistently good. My all-time favorite is the Caramel Blondie in all its sugary glory.

I have enjoyed every drink I’ve gotten here. They take the time to steam like the milk properly and the espresso is tasty. I just purchased some ground coffee beans from them too and they were good. The baristas are friendly as can be and are always welcoming.

Great coffee! Their Mexican Mocha is the shit! Most places make it too sweet, but it’s always perfect at Black Rock. The staff is always friendly, service is fast and efficient, and their prices seem to be lower than most chain and non-chain coffee joints nearby. I recently stopped by for two large mocha’s, and it was under $ 6. I didn’t think that was possible!

Drivethru on aurora, had two drive thrus, I only went there once but it was only once that these ladies made my day! I love their name, they were spunky, and upbeat. I really appreciate fun service. I had a soy mocha that was delightful.

They really do have good coffee! The best part was that they open at 5am, when not even the donut shops are open. Friendly service… I will certainly go back for more…

They don’t know what a dirty chai tea latte is, which is , if you haven’t tried it yet you should. IMO If you claim to be a barista and that is your occupation you should know Something that many espresso stands need to understand is that in order to get regulars and people coming back daily YOUHAVETOMAKECOFFEETHATTASTESGOOD. You can’t just hand people crap and not care otherwise you will get NO business and eventually the place will close. Ka pishe? Besides their lack of knowledge concerning espresso the music is way too loud in there. They can’t hear a word anyone is saying and spend most of the time yelling«WHAT!!!» Making this change would speed up the service and help them focus on what they’re doing.

You might drive by it and miss it completely. It’s on the north side of the Kidd Valley parking lot before you reach 145th. Look for their tall sign, white letters on black signage with a big red star. You can’t miss that. Once you find it, it doesn’t matter which side you reach. It’s a small stand that you can approach from either side of your car. Baristas are incredibly friendly. After a couple visits, my drink was remembered and I was just asked if I wanted decaf or regular. I’m a fan of that sort of service. Ask for a loyalty card. Collect punches toward a free drink. You know the routine. I see they have the usual snacks and other drinks if you’re not a fan of the coffee bean. I’ve never tried anything other than my soy lattes so I can’t vouch. I CAN vouch for their caramel soy blondie… mmm, addictive stuff!

I visited on a weekday evening and got an iced mocha. It was reasonably priced and tasted pretty good — milky, smooth, and with strong coffee. The barista was friendly and nice, as well. I’m only giving four stars because it wasn’t the best drive-thru mocha I’ve ever had, and the location isn’t the most convenient ever. As the other reviewer mentioned, it’s a bit tucked away and hard to notice. But it was definitely a pleasant experience overall, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

–Great Coffee –Great People –Great Hours Love this coffee stand! They are quick and friendly. They have great prices too! Didn’t know it was a chain until I visited their website either. Most Locations in Oregon. The only thing that’s kind of annoying, is its location, its like hidden in the corner. Should be more visible to the public.
