Anar

Looks like this place opened up the day prior next to my office — I’m a general fan of most foods so I thought I’d give it a try.
Anar is a vegetarian and juice bar place, with a small but cozy interior. Probably seats 12 at max. I looked over the menu and asked for a recommendation and that lead to the Mujadara.
I’m not 100% on what was in there, but I will say it was tasty. Some sort of rice/​grain thing, with something to give it a bit of spice, topped with yogurt and pickled radishes. While I really enjoyed the dish, I will say that it was not very filling, I may need a snack in a few hours. But again — very tasty. Kind of wish it had some kofta in it.
I would recommend for any veggies out there, and I will try the quinoa and cauliflower dish next as that may be more filling.

I tried the juices. Tasty? Arguable. I ordered the Yellow No. 5 with yogurt added. Basically it’s $ 9 plus tax for pineapple juice that tastes like someone threw a bell pepper in there. Lowering rating to 3 stars for just alright.

This is Mamnoon’s sister restaurant, so I was super excited to try it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. Their concept is centered around their juice bar and their fresh-​made vegetarian bowls. I visited during lunch and ordered their Mujadara bowl, which had stewed brown rice and lentils with a dollop of Ellenos Greek yogurt, cubed radish or beets (I couldn’t tell), and a sprinkle of pepitas. The bowl was pretty bland and even though I asked for a second dollop of yogurt, it was still not enough. There were not enough toppings to balance the flavors, so it felt like I was just eating a big bowl of bland rice and lentils. I was trying to get a healthy lunch option, but instead ended up with a carb-​heavy meal. This cost me about $ 10, not including any of their fresh juices, which was another $ 7. Given that they just opened, they may be still working some kinks out of their recipes.

Tried the restaurant couple of times. Mujadara is good and tasty but quantity is very less.
For $ 9 you are getting tasty vegetarian food but not filling at all. Hence 3*
