What a little gem. They don’t have much here but a few picnic tables, a bird viewing screen, and a nature trail, but this place deserves 5 star. The nature trail is a crushed granite trail the meanders through an old subdivision the has been torn down and allowed to revert back to nature. Not a long trail, but the 1.25 miles will take you along the creek, into wooded areas, and through tall brushy overgrowth. The trail is nicely maintained and mostly flat so it was perfect for an afternoon run.

Crescent Bend Nature Park used to be a residential development — used to be because it was built in a flood plane and heavily damaged. A combination of local and state entities bought out the property and converted it into the park it is today. The area sill has the general lay out of a subdivision — one large outer loop with cross streets bisecting it. This makes the area popular for semi-paved activities like horseback riding, dirt biking, hiking and small off-road vehicles. There are facilities at the front of the park for picnics and grilling, but nothing in the back forty, so plan accordingly!
