Well, it was a beautiful hot day today in Cibolo, where I enjoyed visiting the different food trucks, many from SA. There were bands, karate demos, and a couple of sports tournaments. Getting there was a hassle because only about 200 cars can park in the park and about 2000 people showed up today. A shuttle bus with only 16 seats was offered at the city hall, but with temperatures hovering in the 90s, 40 people waiting, and a 20 minute turnaround for the bus, it was very discouraging for some. Many people left opting not to wait. Most of the trucks had menu items in the $ 9 – 12 dollar range. This was shocking to many who were looking for more reasonable prices. Chef Bully(the winner of a Food Network show) was doing a brisk business with 10 dollar creative sandwiches. Also, Teka Molina was selling tacos at $ 4. I chose Monster Grillers and bought a $ 5 brisket sandwich. That brisket was so smoky, moist, and flavorful. The owner recently won two championships, one being grand master. This competitive bbq pitmaster can cook some Texas brisket… For desert, I had a very satisfying tamarindo shaved ice for only $ 3. If they fix the parking and shuttlebus next year, I will up my rating.
