Journeys Shoe Store

NEVER AGAIN! I will never step foot inside a store again. My 13 year old daughter saved up her money for Uggs and they were not in stock in her size at the store; common problem I’m sure. So we ordered them to be delivered to our home. 15 days later, I called the store to find out why it was taking so long to be delivered to find out that they were not able to «fulfill the order» and that my purchase by debit card would be refunded by check in 30+ days. WHAT! So my daughter has to wait another week (three weeks at this point) to get something that should have taken 2 days shipping to get her purchase from Amazon. Never again will I do business with this company. Customer service did absolutely nothing to satisfy us, and said «sorry…»

I will start off with how much i like shopping at this mall and has never had a bad experience ever in any of the stores until i came across some Mens Diesel shoes at this Journeys location earlier this evening which caught my eye right away i asked for a size 13 which they gave me promptly i wanted to buy these shoes because i have had couple of Diesel shoe pairs before as well so i knew what i was doing now the worst part was the shoe sales girl gave me was the right pair which i noticed had a big stain of glue right on the face of the shoe which was pretty visible as it was a black shoe with suede outlines and other details to it and i made them notice it they tried taking if off which didn’t come off even with all the products they could apply to get it off but it didn’t seemed to work and they also didn’t had another 13 in that color the sales girl said she would ask her manager if she can get a discount on this pair the manager said yeah 5 bucks i was like what excuse me? This a 100 dollar shoe and it has stain so you’re saying i have to pay even for that defect on the shoe and she ended up replying yeah this is the most you’re getting on a 100 dollar shoe she replied very rudely! And said you gotta know its a manufacturer defect well she wasn’t wrong on that part but the manager needs to know how to deal with the customers in such situations she can learn a lot with customer dealing and friendly gestures and yes definitely not buying another shoe from this location.

It seems like a fairly simple thing to do, but my girlfriend got a pair of shoes that were too small shipped to her from a Journeys in Michigan. I called three different Journeys in the Chicago area, and the only person I got a straight answer from was at this store. They didn’t have the right size in stock, but we were able to return the shoes there and have the right size shipped to us. Not sure why it was so hard at the other stores, but I’m glad it was taken care of eventually.
