Smashburger

Their burgers are excellent if they are freshly cooked. More often you get pre-​cooked burgers that are heated up per order, say 70% of the time. Ask that they make one fresh and that you’ll wait. It’s worth it. Various toppings are generous and delicious. Wish they’d use trays instead of those horrid metal baskets.
Be very careful when you give your order because the cashiers are not the brightest bulbs in the box. I’ve had three orders ruined when dumb and dumber weren’t listening to my requests. Review the receipt immediately, make sure they got the order right before putting it in.

Chocolate malt shake taste creamy and delicious. I got the make your own burger that cost $ 4.59. I added bacon & swiss cheese, that adds ~ $ 2 extra, and raw onion is free. The meat is very juicy and taste good. It’s made with Angus beef. The onion rings is thin, airy and crispy. You order the food, receive a number, take a seat and your food get sent to you. Best thing is, the food is done fast, cooked well and they clean your table, once you’re done.

Rosemary Fries are always too greasy. Take it easy on the olive oil. Sprinkle it. But the regular fries are okay. Burgers are done well and pretty quickly. Rarely super busy here on even weekends so enjoy taking the family here.

My experience was less than stellar. I shudder at the thought of it. After a long day, I wanted to indulge in a milkshake. I ordered two grilled cheese meals for my kids, both under the age of 5. The girl behind the counter only rang me up for 1. I wasn’t paying attention because I was trying to keep tabs on my kids. So ONE sandwich comes out, burnt. The manager told me he could make us a second sandwich. I refused after the look of the one order we received.

First time having smashburger (love 5 guys) and I’m told it may be this location why I disliked it.
I personally thought it was THE most bland burger ever. I got the bacon cheese burger with smash fries.
The egg bun seemed over powering, I got grilled onions for taste but didn’t help. I even ate just the burger but I didn’t taste anything, just like I was chewing.
The fries were greasy and okay with added ketchup.
People rave about this place but I don’t get it. I can’t say I will try a different location.
The workers were really nice and attentive though!

The food is pretty good but for some reason they keep forgetting to make the milkshakes. The last 3 times I was here I had to go to the counter and ask them for my milkshakes. Strange!

It’s 9:34pm.so the place isn’t too clean… staff semi friendly… the food though, not bad at all… bacon cheeseburger w fries and an oreo shake… not pricey.

2 orders in front of me and I waited 10 minutes to order. There was 1 girl behind the register who had to take orders, make shakes, bring food out to customers and bag the to go stuff. That’s really not fair to her.
I placed an order for a Sin City Burger, which is a special that is going on, fries and a fountain soda. The burger was really delicious. Bacon, egg and American cheese with frizzled onions. It was juicy, a good size and filling. The fries were ehhhh. I’m not a big fan of shoestring fries. They were nice and golden, but not great. The soda tasted like the machine needs a cleaning.
They have quite a few options available as to burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads. I’m just pretty sure this isn’t a place I’d seek out. I just can’t see myself saying that I need a Smashburger. I kind of see it as another Five Guys clone, without peanuts everywhere.

I’m surprised by the several negative reviews for Smashburger. I’ve been here numerous times and never had an issue; the only thing I can say that’s negative is that they mixed up my shake once but quickly brought out the correct order. Everything I have ordered here has been excellent, quickly-​made and delicious. Don’t believe the naysayers.

This place straight up sucks! The staff is slow and unenthusiastic! Their almost bothered that you came in to grab a bite. To make you never want to come back again they take 30 minutes to cook your food and it arrives looking like a cold ugly mess. The fries will arrive swimming in clear oil. Absolutely flavorless and disgusting food. Never again! Please heed my advice. Oh by the way, it’s insanely expensive too. Food for two will most certainly cost over $ 30!

I like getting the spicy jalapeño baja burger (the chicken version of this burger isn’t bad either). I also love their smash fries, which is tossed in garlic, rosemary, and olive oil. It tends to feel a bit oily after you’ve eaten an order, but nevertheless still yummy! After you order, you get a number. You’re allowed to grab a seat and the staff will bring your burger to where you are siting (no tip included).
But the staff is a bit… eh. Every time I went, the person taking my order is either really slow and unenthusiastic or they’re in a big rush (for what?) and talk really fast and slurred. Also, when they bring your order to your table, it’s very unwelcoming. Just last week, a waitress bumped into my boyfriend while putting his order on the table. The oil from the french fries got on his dress shirt and she didn’t even look back nor did she say sorry. At least the burger was good.

Good burgers tasty milkshake. Enjoyed our quick bite here. Staff was nice and locaion was clean. Will come back again. :)

Have ordered and eaten here a bunch of times and never once has the order been right the first time. the crew doesn’t seem too serious or well supervised — they seem to wander and do what they want.
the chicken sandwich is pretty good, the fries aren’t too great once they cool off. i prefer 5 guys up the road, especially their fries.

This place is NOT fast food! Fo reals, on a recent visit my order took 30+ minutes before we got our food. But it was enlightening to see others waiting for their food too. At a table next to us an older couple was waiting for their food as well, then the woman got her food WAY before her husband. She left the restaurant, opened more than a few startup tech companies, sat back down and all her husband could say was, «My burger’s not here yet.»
Then they left, and a man and his son sat at the same table. The man received his burger pretty quickly, and ATE IT while his son had nothing! Almost as if to say. «This is called disappointment, son. Get used to it.»
Eventually our food came. My fries were cold as ice. I’ve seen it before, it happens all the time. Actually, no it doesn’t. A really nice lady who works there heard me over my bullhorn announcing that my fries were cold and brought us a new, fresh HOT order of fries! The people that work the tables are REALLY nice! I didn’t have the heart to break out the bullhorn and announce that the fries were TOO HOT.
When my burger eventually came I noticed my wife sit down and mentioned something about tech companies. It felt like that déjà vu thing, but I was busy consuming.

I’ve tried the truffle Swiss burger with a stash of onion rings. I added their chipotle sauce as a dressing to my burger. This is a lot better than McDonald’s or Burger King. I would come back should they open a branch in Southern California near my place. I also like the fact that they cook their burger to medium perfection.

Came here for the very first time to see what the fuss was about. With Central Avenue 5 Guys being the pits and BGR taking a nosedive, I was desperate for a new and somewhat local place to get a decent burger without going to the diner. Well this is now my new «go to» burger place.
We came a little before noon and it was quite empty. It’s very spacious inside, clean with a pretty cool décor, but we wanted take out. I ordered my usual bacon cheeseburger with fries. After waiting for a period of time, I was good to go. I skipped drinks, so not sure the offerings on that end.
The burger was pretty good. The fries were pretty unique. Not sure what the flavor is from, but they were much skinnier than the average fries and were a pleasant surprise.
The cashier was just fine with me. I see what the other reviews have said, but I had no issues — but I was also one of the first people of the day, so who knows.
Located in a busy strip mall plaza — it’s one of the only places to eat inside that plaza unless you want to take your chances at Pizza Hut or that Panera Bread (no thanks). Plenty of parking, but some of the people who come into the lot shouldn’t have a license and nor can they park to save their own lives. Borders ritzy Scarsdale, so you have the wealthy ‘better than thou’ types who also come into the lot and well, you know how that goes. Not Smashburgers fault, but it’s not one of my favorite lots.
So if you want a pretty good burger that hits the spot, this is a good place to go.

Food is excellent for a burger joint. I like the fact that they sell a selection of beer. Cashiers attitude was nasty thats why I’m giving it three stars.

Smashburger is one of the better fast food burger joints. It kinda felt like a diner. But anyway, I got the BBQ, bacon cheddar burger. It’s a nice medium size burger. I liked it, it was juicy and had flavor. The smashfries were alright. I don’t really like how thin they’re cut, other than that, they were normal. I also got an oreo shake, which was very large that has haagen dazs ice cream and oreos for like $ 4-​something. I think it’s a good deal. And very filling even shared with a friend.
I guess my only reason why this isn’t 5 stars is cause it’s just another burger place. I will come here because there aren’t many options in this plaza. If you’ve never been, it’s something to try.

Stick with the burgers. Anything else is a joke. Kids meal chicken tenders are dry, burnt, and tiny. Salads are so poorly put together, they look sloppy.
They also botched my order by giving me the wrong salad. Not fun to discover ounces your home and be drive back is 10 minutes.

I’m a fan of Smashburger. After a day of shopping on Central Ave, I needed sustenance. So into Smashburger I went.
I was fairly quiet & I had only ever been to one other Smashburger before, so I needed a moment with the menu. The cashier was very nice.
Ultimately, I ordered «The New Yorker» (see nifty picture with description) and a shake. You take a number & go to any table you want. Food came out pretty quickly.
Burger was YUM. Fries are thin but delish. And with your milkshake they bring you the metal thing so you can get EVERY. LAST. DROP (see picture). Yay.
Why did they lose a star? Well — while the staff was friendly with their interactions with customers, when they spoke to each other it was like they forgot they were at work. Language & subject matter was NOT pretty. Two of the workers kept yelling to each other across the restaurant.
Other than that, great.
