Creative Sparks

What a great place to spend an afternoon, morning or evening, or any chunk of time you choose to spend here. So many different pieces to choose from, though I tend to be drawn towards mugs, which they have many of.
You get to create such a unique and thoughtful gift, or a little something for yourself. I have used mine all through college and beyond. The staff is so friendly, answers any and all questions and can help you fix anything you may not be happy with.
What a great, family friendly place! But also great for a little girls night out, visiting with old friends and creating something fun while you do all that!

I was in town visiting family and in trying to find something to do, we stumbled across Creative Sparks. I’m not sure how long it’s been there, but I had definitely never heard of it before!
The concept is identical to that of ‘Color Me Mine’ (if you’re familiar with that chain) — there’s a small studio fee that covers the paint, brushes, and the firing of your piece, and then you pay for the actual piece you select to paint. Pieces seemed to average around $ 15 with some of the larger pieces coming in at $ 45. There was a wide selection of pieces available along with seasonal choices.
I was disappointed in the paint selection. Although there were many color choices, there didn’t appear to be any specialty paints (i.e. ones with glitter or different finishes). Perhaps they’re stored elsewhere though.
The woman that worked there was very helpful and sweet. She walked us through the process and provided suggestions on design choices and techniques.
Overall, a nice place to spend an afternoon and definitely family friendly!

Let’s be clear: this is a «glaze/​paint your ceramics» studio where glaze and supplies are provided. It is also a gallery featuring local artists exhibiting high quality paintings, sculptures, glass, ceramics, textile pieces and jewelry.
I went to this place to check it out and it exceeded all of my expectations. The glaze options are varied and beautiful. The ceramic pieces, themselves, are unusual and creative particularly compared to similar establishments elsewhere. Additionally, Creative Sparks has a lot of space. There is a lot of room for kid’s parties as well as adult parties. It seemed like a fun place for team building or bringing some wine and painting with the girls.
The staff is friendly and helpful. I had a good time and would do it again in a heartbeat.
