Sunset Fiat of Sarasota

From the moment we began shopping Fiat for my 73 yr. old mom to now, Tim and Tony are the reason we decided to go with Sunset Fiat!
I live outside Florida and when my mom said she wanted a new car, I panicked. She is driven by getting the «best deal», but challenged by technology and adjusting to new things. Her list of criteria for a new car was a back-​up camera; bluetooth; something very small, but 4-​door and could hold passengers and luggage comfortably (oxymoron); and a bright color so she could find it in a parking lot. I knew from the start that she did not know what bluetooth was and that a back-​up camera would confuse her, but she wanted it and by damn, she was going to get it because my mom deserves to have everything she wants in life at this stage in the game!
After hearing her wish list, I was concerned that she was going to walk into a dealership and leave with a neon «today’s special» left over from last year’s models. Even worse, her salesperson would inevitably be «Junior» who was gracious enough to afford her his 3 seconds of patience before putting the drills to her seat and pressure her for a signature. Knowing my mom, she cannot take stress and I was sure this ordeal would put her in the hospital, but independence is important and I wanted her to pick something she liked because she was going to be the one driving it after all.
She originally looked at a Honda Fit, Nissan Versa and a few other cars that were low budget and brightly painted that screamed, «My owner is a bubblegum chewing teen or a cheapskate stuck in the 80’s». I and suggested a Fiat. After a few gentle nudges, she agreed to look…“just look”. I was sure that if anything, maybe she would at least appreciate the level of customer service Fiat is known for and it would be a pleasant experience verses what she has already endured at the other dealerships.
Fiat won her over! The little extra money she spent on her car is well worth it. I cannot express how grateful I am that the sales team has AND continues to impress us with the fine details. My mom got the exact car she wanted (a fun, but classy bright yellow 500L Trekking) plus a family in Fiat! Tim and Tony continue to check in with her when she has questions about electronics and other items she is not familiar. Tony understands that my mom can become overwhelmed easily and he is patient and takes his time in only giving her as much information as she is able to handle about the functions of her car.
