Well, this place already has two stars so the bad experience is kinda on me, I guess. My excuse is that I was drunk and somebody said margaritas. We got in to the restaurant and were seated immediately. Everybody got started with some margaritas and the server brought out chips and salsa in a timely manner. La Rosa gets 2 stars instead of 1 because our lush group was devouring those chips and basically drinking the salsa, and those guys were on top of keeping us bottomless. However, everything changed once the entrees came. I ordered the seafood enchiladas. Pretty basic, right. Make cheese enchiladas and put some seafood in it. Sounds hard to mess up, but these guys pulled through and served me the worst enchiladas(if you could even call it that) I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, the corn tortillas were not rolled and stuffed. It was as if the chef boiled a tortilla, threw it on the plate, poured some weird rotting soup on top, boiled another tortilla to throw on top of that, thought that the tortilla was not wet and slimy enough so must’ve decided to pour more water on top, and the sprinkled a bit of hard, yet, somehow melted cheese on top. The servers were probably refilling our chips and salsa so fast because they are ashamed of their employer and knew we wouldn’t be able to choke down the food, but cared enough to not want us to leave hungry. So bad!

The bouncers attacked my boyfriend! After a bartender came up to us asking for a tip! 2 of the 5 drinks we ordered with our friends were wrong and the bartender wasn’t very nice so we didn’t leave a tip. Another bartender came up to us with the receipt as we were leaving and wanted to know where their tip is. Can you believe that? And then the bartender starts walking away as we’re trying to explain why we were dissatisfied with our service and when my boyfriend followed him and tried to get his attention(he tapped him on the shoulder) so he could finish explaining, the bouncers attacked my boyfriend full force. What kind of place is this? We were on our way out and they stopped us demanding a tip and then attacked my boyfriend after a stupid tap on a shoulder. They pushed him, punched him in the face and the head, choked him, dragged him down the stairs and handcuffed him so tight his wrists are bleeding. His face is covered in blood, he has a huge lump on his forehead from one of the punches… This is the worst place ever. La Rosa should be shut down.

One star for their management, bartenders and the way they handle their business. One night we had a group celebrating my graduation and sister’s birthday, with both gentlemen and ladies present. The night went seemingly well, despite the grime that had accumulated from years of improper cleaning techniques. The bars were constantly sticky and wet. Similarly, the floors were too incredibly sticky. On top of that, the establishment itself has no form of ventilation and the environment gets superfluously hot and humid. Those flaws aside, I insisted that my friends and family spend our time and money at this supposedly high end club. I could not have been more disappointed and regretful of my poor decision. My friend and I had ordered a couple of drinks from a bartender. After ten minutes of waiting I had scoped the bar to see if I could flag him down. Unfortunately he was no where to be found. I politely asked the only bartender there where he had gone because we had now been waiting over fifteen minutes for our drinks we had already ordered. He rudely shrugged his shoulders and continued with his sloppy bartending. At this point, watching him take shots while working and disregarding our concerns, I began to get a little more impatient. I flagged him down once more and asked if he knew when we would be receiving our drinks. His response to my question was absurd. He angrily slammed the balcony’s bar window on my friend and I and continued serving others while continuing to take shots while serving. I was speechless. At that point, I was over getting drinks and wanted to enjoy the rest of the night in celebration of my graduation. However, when another bartender came behind the bar to assist and the window opened up once more, my friend who finally received our drinks told the new bartender, who I believe may have been the manager of his employee’s behavior, and was once again greeted with what I call the worst customer service in downtown Santa Rosa. This bartender/manager retracted the drinks, did a charge back and called a bouncer over to kick my friend out. Keep in mind, he did nothing wrong, but voice his opinion on a bartender’s work ethics. The bouncer, like a lap dog, acquiesced to his manager’s demand although it was uncalled for and unfair, and began to push around my friend even when he was already walking towards the exit. La Rosa lounge breeds men who believe they are in power because they are seemingly sober and at an advantage to those who are intoxicated. What they fail to realize is that some of their customers are not wasted drunk, and go out to have a good time not expecting to have a worker go MIA after taking an order, and most definitely not expecting to get kicked out for voicing an opinion. I will not be back to La Rosa and discourage others not to support such a discriminatory, rash, and vile establishment. Extremely poor service, staff, and environment. If you want hostility, filth and to be surrounded by discriminating and egocentric men, then La Rosa is the place to go. If not, then I suggest you spend your money at a different, more suitable establishment. Just horrible. Emphasis on horrible.

This is the best spot in Santa Rosa! Amazing staff and they’ve put a lot into their club lighting and audio system! You won’t be disappointed clubbing here. :)

Cant get in without a collared shirt even if you are wearing a nice expensive shirt, but if its a raggedy ass collared shirt from goodwill its fine. And it says no where on their website collared shirt is required. What a joke, also the«boss» shows up wearing a white tshirt and his friend has a dumb hoodie on but they can go in. Makes sense. The boss sets a great example for the dress code lmao. This place is rediculously strict for being in downtown santa rosa this is not san francisco its a tiny place that doesnt have anything special just full of drunk girls vomiting and falling all over you.

Went out to have some fun with my friend and had the worst night because of the bartender. First he spills a drink all over me and charged me for my drinks. Second I asked him for a raspberry lemon drop and made me the worst raspberry lemon drop I’ve ever had. I asked him what it was and he started to yell at me. The guy look like he’s on drugs with his gross beard and ponytail. Worst service ever!

My friends and I ended up here on a Saturday night. It was ok but the music… I was not feeling it. Plus they need fans on the dance floor. Overall it was an ok experience. Bartenders we super sloppy spilling alcohol all over the bar… Shots were sliding off the bar. Would I go back most likely NO. Advice better music.

Let me start by saying I have been trying to reach the person who is in charge of bottle service for almost a week. Today I call the restaurant to ask how I can get ahold of someone to reserve a table, and they were very helpful and gave me a little information and said they would contact the person who usually handles that. Within a half hour I receive a text that states«So this is the first message that I revived from you, not sure why you called the restaurant and said you left numerous messages.» First of all, why would I say I called and left a message if I didn’t? And what makes them think you can text someone that when I am the one who was planning to spend hundreds of dollars? If that is how you do business, you definitely won’t be seeing me at La Rosa.

Rudest door staff and incredibly grimey crowd. We came as a wedding party and they pushed the bride and didn’t let us in. They also walked to the bar across the street and told them not to let our party in. I cannot stress enough how shitty the staff is here. Skip!

I got a booth for my guys 30th. I was texting the person all week. Told them it was gonna be 20 people and I needed the biggest table. Once I come in they stick me in a corner that only for about 6 people, 10 at the most. I told my hostess what happened and she fixed it right away. We had a good time. The only thing I hated was that the DJ did not announce last call or that they were closing. Instead all the security guards yelled at everyone to leave and drove us to the exit like a herd of cattle. Very rude. Other than that fun time.

This is the place to come dance in Santa Rosa(well… the only place to come dance in downtown Santa Rosa really). When your feelin’ tipsy and ready to hit floor head on up to the 2nd floor above La Rosa to experience good inebriated vibes. Tip: Come already well lubricated and if your a dude, wear a collared shirt.

**Apparently La Rosa Lounge(second floor of La Rosa Tequileria) is managed separately from La Rosa Tequileria, and also has a separate Unilocal page. Based on looking at the Unilocal reviews, this should explain why the service is so poor at La Rosa Lounge, and not at La Rosa Tequileria** I had a pretty disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered an anchor steam and the waiter asked for my ID(I’m 23 years old). I gave him my Indiana driver’s license and he accused me of being a «phony» and refused to serve me alcohol. I have literally never had this happen before, as this is a government issued photo ID! Further, my co-worker who is 26 years old was also refused service and accused of being a «phony» because he had a Montana driver’s license. I was really baffled. We are two working professionals going out for a drink after work and being accused of using fake IDs. Now, in addition to this whole fiasco, once our other co workers arrived and the staff finally decided to allow us to order drinks, we found out that they had run out of about three different beers. The waitress kept returning to our table to tell us that they ran out of one and took a new order, then came back later to say they ran out of another one, and then took another order, and so on and so on. By this point things started to seem comical. Finally, we started eating some of the food, which was average at best. The chips and salsa were pretty pathetic(I hardly used the salsa because it was so bland). I ordered the fajitas and, again, they were pretty average. The rice and beans were your typical crappy states-side-Mexican-restaurant rice and beans that are nothing like what you would get in a real Mexican restaurant. The steak was pretty good, but the rest of the ingredients were just average. Overall, I have to say it was just a disappointing experience. Doubt I will be back here anytime soon.

Came early for a networking event and everyone here has gone above and beyond to be helpful. Kevin and Tim are above friendly and helpful. They are busy getting ready for a busy night but yet make sure I have been attended to. Nice job!!!

Dumb. If you plan on going to night club for some drinks and dance, guys better wear a collared shirt. Like really? Oh I didn’t know down town Santa Rosa was so classy lol oh with all the jobless homeless people and all like wtf. Collared shirt and guys pay $ 10 cover fee to go on a lame ass dance floor with crappy music and over priced drinks? No thanks. This bar is a waste of time people.

I like this place, I see a whole lot of «one stars» for this nice little dance club, and to all the whiners, «If you act the fool, expect the consequences» you’re gonna get the boot and if you aren’t dressed to impress then there are plenty of other bars to visit within walking distance, this spot isn’t for you. I’ve never had an issue upstairs, only good times with friends and family. Upscale’ish, great sound system and dance floor, nice VIP booths and bottle service, multiple bars, great food downstairs if you get hungry. The outdoor rooftop patio is a great spot to get away from the heat of the dance floor and enjoy a beer or cocktail. Santa Rosa only has a couple of dancing options in the downtown area, so it is advised to get on the bouncer/bartenders good side, seriously.

This so called club is a joke. DONOT go to this club. First occasion me and my girl friend came to the bar and had two drinks and then they decided to stop serving us. Not to mention the fact that they literally put a drop of alcohol in each margarita. Then after they denied us getting more drinks we went to go upstairs and they refused to let us in for being too intoxicated but I also saw multiple others enter in the same situation but were let in very easily. These bouncers and snobby girls go out of their way to control situations and act like the boss to an extreme extent where they are pushing a great amount of business from this place and it will eventually cause this restaurant and so called night club to go out of business. On the second occasion they pointed me and my girl friend out individually and decided to kick us out out of nowhere because they thought that we had too much to drink that night. This got to the point where I was literally furious out of all the clubs i have ever been to i felt like they were singling me and my friend out because they didn’t want us there and that is totally discrimination towards customers. To think that this establishment is still in business baffles me and I would highly recommend going to Christys instead. I went to Christys after me and my friend were kicked out of la rosa and they let us in no problem. I have never had so many issues with snobby girls that act like they rule the universe and bouncers that think they are the incredible hulk. I will never go back to this establishment again.

The security and bartenders are really friendly! BUT the greeters and the people who take your money to get into the lounge area are VERY unfriendly and always have a sour look on their face, which is why I’m not giving this place a 5 star rating. If you pay a couple bucks you can keep your jacket/purse in a coat-check area so you don’t have to worry about carrying them all night. I did that, and I got my purse back at the end of the night and my $ 20 lipstick was gone! NOT happy about that. I didn’t realize until we had left and at that point they weren’t letting people back in. Besides that, such a fun and great place to dance! My friends and I frequent this place, and if it gets too stuffy their outside area is really nice and big enough for everyone so you’re not cramped while trying to get some fresh air. Great DJs, great music, great drinks! All they need in order for this place to be THE place to go in Santa Rosa are some new greeters that don’t look like they’re about to massacre everyone who comes in.

We walk up to the entrance, which is a flight of stairs, and we see a group of people going up. My boyfriend nicely asks security if there is a cover to get in and he responds with, «well you couldn’t get in anyways because you aren’t dressed appropriately.» Oh no, not another bouncer on a power trip. Seriously this guy was a complete ass, and we were being as polite as possible. It was clear that he was taking out his repressed childhood issues at work. My boyfriend was wearing dark designer jeans, dress shoes and a nice dress shirt. The bouncer was a white guy in his mid to late 30’s, he had not even bothered to brush his hair, he wore a faded black sweat stained and wrinkled t– shirt that looked like he had slept in it from working in it the night before. My boyfriend asked why the group of guys before us was let up and they were wearing sandals and shorts with t-shirts, the guy wouldn’t answer and just ignored him. My guess is that they know single people will make them more money, so he let’s in the girls who are having a «lady’s night» and whole group of single bros that will spend money buying the group of girls drinks and trying to get them drunk enough to take home. Yep, tacky club tactic. We see people upstairs, guys in flip flops and shorts, and girls with denim shorts(you know those ugly high waisted ones) and tank tops. I have no idea what kind of vibe they are going for, but we had just eaten at a nice restaurant before coming over to check out the«club.» Please, you are in Sonoma County. Also just as a warning, this place scams people for prices and charges people different amounts at the door(no there isn’t a before 12 deal). Also the drinks are the same way, no set price. The more drunk they get you the more they charge!

It’s a club. and not a great club. I have low expectations for bars/clubs. The drinks were mediocre– hard to mess up vodka redbull. My biggest issue was with the security, I am a relatively small 5’0 Caucasian woman– I feel unsafe in many places, especially when I’m drinking. The club had a lot of security which usually makes me happy. My friends and I had an uncomfortable situation in the ladies room and I wanted to tell the security. By this point, it was past last call so all that the security cared about was getting people out the door. I admit that I had had a lot to drink– but the security wasn’t willing to help me at all or even willing to listen. What if something more serious had happened? I was very disturbed by how little they cared– and how angry they were, pushing me out the door and cursing me on the way. not cool.
