Ambiance: Casual and laid back Happy Hour: Phenomenal Service: Exceptional thanks to Davina Food: BOMB Came here for happy hour last night and right off the bat we loved our server/bartender. Davina was truly amazing and was so fun to chat with since we were sitting at the bar. She helped us decide on a delicious BOWLA(The fishbowl) which served the three of us perfectly. She also helped us decide on appetizers and what to eat for dinner. We ordered calamari, pork belly flatbread, chicken wings, sliders and for dinner, we shared an Oso Bucco! Everything was so flavorful and filling. All in all, we each had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back!

Not the place to go. It’s like a step lower then Applebee’s. They really don’t seem to manage what they put on your plate. Everything here seems old. I felt a little sick after but I have a strong stomach so I just got diarrhea. I wouldn’t eat here unless you have a couple days off to sit on the toilet.

Loved the bacon wrapped shrimp and chile verde wings plus the Strawberry margaritas!!! Will be back soon the next time I visit Santa Rosa. I love watching Double D’s and was happy to finally dine in Guy’s own restaurant.

My family and I love love love this place. When we can’t decide what we are craving this is always our go to restaurant. The food is always so tasty and the portions are HUGE!!! They always have something new and exciting on their menu. For appetizers we love getting their Sashimi Won Tacos, Lava Rock Shrimp, and Brick Wings. All of these are so amazing and always cooked just right. For our entrees we always have someone getting an incredible burger. One of our all time favorites is the Guy’s Big Bite Burger with the salted pretzel roll. Our last visit, we tried the Ahi Tuni Sandwich, which also was quite delicious. Additionally we love their salads and one of our favorites is the On the Bayou Chopped BBQ Chicken Salad. Lastly we’ve tried their Applewood Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp Skewers, which were extremely tasty. You definitely get what you pay for at this restaurant. We never leave hungry because the food is always on point. Keep up the good work! We love this place!!!

Picked up my sandwich earlier today for late lunch. Halfway through the meal when I flip over the other half of my sandwich, I noticed mold all over the slide of bread on the bottom. Throwing up and will probably be throwing up the rest of my weekend. Thanks Guy and team at Johnny Garlic’s. This is definitely the new low of culinary art experience. Went back and showed the staff members(Christian and Ashley Strunk) and was quickly offered an uncomfortable refund so I would leave. Even more quickly, Ashley asked me «Would you like something else?» To which I replied«No… Oh God no…» trying my best to not throw up on the spot pushing the door and ran outside. The smell of food from this restaurant will haunt me for a while since I live in the neighborhood. Talk about living dangerously. I’m set for midlife crisis. Check out the pictures yourself, folks.

The quality has declined considerably. Paid $ 82 for substandard, ill prepared, skimpy portions, missing dressing, etc. I think this place is resting on its laurels of years past. We used to frequent this place regularly. Was very surprised by the last few times my family and I bought a meal. The pizza, this time, looked like it was made yesterday, someone picked off the pepperoni, then reheated and sold to us. I’ll try to attach photos for your reference. When I called, the very nice lady offered a free dessert on our next visit. I declined saying that I paid so much for our current meal that a simple dessert would not cover the expense of this entire meal being awful. Although, it was a nice gesture.

Celebrity chefs. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don’t. This time, I don’t. I was in Santa Rosa for a work thing and they took us to lunch at Johnny Garlic’s. It was Saturday, November 14th around 1:30pm. They asked us for our order before we arrived since we didn’t have much time for lunch. I got the Pesto chicken ciabatta with Garlic fries: chicken breast, mozzarella, mixed greens, artichoke hearts, red onion, roma tomatoes and pesto. The sandwich was just meh. Not really much pesto flavor and the chicken was dry. The garlic fries lived up to their name as they were super garlicky. I did wish the garlic was cooked a little more as it was super pungent. I could only eat a couple of fries as it was a little too much. Would have been nice if the garlic was roasted and caramelized. We also started with the complimentary Garlic onion focaccia with olive oil and balsamic. Not much flavor, so make sure to add some salt and pepper. A very unimpressive dining experience. For someone like Guy Fieri, who has such a big personality, I was expecting bigger flavors.

I was so disappointed with my meal last night. I ordered the shrimp scampi. I expected it to be creamy and cheesy. However, the flavor was way too lemony. The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the shrimp and the free bread before the meal. Speaking of the bread, make sure you fill up on it because the portions are very small for their price. Also, the back room we sat in had very dim lighting(on purpose). I would not come back for dinner but I would come back for lunch as their lunch items are a little less pricey. The only reason I’m giving a 3rd star is for our waitress who did an excellent job of serving our large crowd.

Decided to take the family out on my hubby’s 41st birthday. Since Johnny Garlic’s was close it seemed like a no brainer. Wasn’t sure how the evening was going to play out since the kids were with us, but service was fast and the food was good. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

We have been here several times for lunch. This Sunday it was pretty quiet. First Johnny Garlics Guy Fieri ever opened. Fairly large restaurant if you count the enclosed patio. Staff is friendly, food is generally on spot. I really can’t elaborate much on my lunch, as I had the soup and salad combo. The tomato soup was piping hot and tasty. The house salad was nothing really special. Lettuce, mushrooms, tomato, cucumbers and balsamic vinaigrette. Our waiter was attentive, keeping us hydrated. Burgers looked good!

My husband and I used to be regulars here. And we are not sure if the food and service declined? Or if we just got burnt out on it? So, we decided to take a break from here. We came back after several months and it was still pretty much the same as when we left. We do enjoy our cocktails. And their drinks are not strong. More like, measured shots and full of sugar. Kind of like Apples bees. We would rather get a good stiff drink from Willie Birds. Those guys pour a good stiff drink!!! Now the food… It seems like everything you order is a heart attack or a diabetic shock waiting to happen. Everything on the menu is super high calorie. Even the salads look like 2,000 calorie salads. Tonight I ordered Cedar Plank Salmon with no mash potatoes and extra veggies instead. The waitress explained that the Salmon is prepaid medium-rare. So, I asked for it medium-well. And it still came out medium rare with an uncooked gelatiny center. The top of the salmon was smothered in this sugary sauce(I believe it was apricot). My Brussel sprouts were tossed in butter and bacon… LOL. This is a very high calorie and very expensive restaurant for what you are getting. I sweat the meat must be a 100% mark up than what is in stores.

Food was just ok. The shrimp was phenomenal, but everything else was average. Also, I thought service was subpar — they clearly forgot to place my toddlers order, brought our drinks after food had arrived, and were hard to get hold of.

Came here with a few guys. The place was a little empty for a Thursday evening, but I did not have any complaints. We sat down quickly. We sat down. Ordered drinks immediately. Wasn’t too bad. Looked through the menu thoroughly. Had some unique food. Drew some attention to certain items such as Mac & Cheese Burger. There were other items too. The average burger prices were around $ 15+. That was pricey to me. I had the Cali Burger, which wasn’t too bad. The burger was saturated with not taste but so much lettuce. Wasn’t a bad thing, but it was definitely difficult to eat the burger. The drinks weren’t too bad, which was probably the best thing about this place. The food wasn’t too bad but if the drinks were better… something is wrong. Need to change the menu or approach in food. Rating Food: 3 Ambience: 2(it wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t some place I would take a date.) Price: 1(too pricey for my blood. In and Out would have been cheaper and probably the same quality of burger.) Service: 4(the highlight had to be their service.) Overall: 3 I can say I came here and eat here. Now, it’s to the next restaurant.

Save your Money and your Breath! If I could describe this restaurant in one word it would be EWW! I ordered a Cali Burger and it was DISGUSTING! The Meat was cooked to a perfection, but unfortunately had no flavor whatsoever. Because the chef decided to go crazy on the lettuce, the burger was humongous and too big to fit in my hands. I was not happy that I had to enlist the help of my fork and knife to eat the damn thing. The small amount of mayo and mustard that was put on the burger was absorbed by the enormous bun. There was a lot of avocado on the burger which was nice, but because the burger was so bland all I could taste was the lettuce and avocado and a strong, strong taste of garlic! The garlic fries that accompanied the burger were also drenched in Garlic. I guess I should’ve figured that with a name like«Johnny Garlic’s», large amounts of garlic in the food was a give-in! In all honesty, my favorite part of the meal was the side of ketchup that I was given with my fries. I don’t know if they make it or buy it, but it was delicious and did an excellent job masking the taste of the dull burger and the too much garlic fries! While the food was awful and I will most likely never be coming back, our server, Betty Did an excellent job! If you’re looking for a burger, this is not the right place! You are better off going to in and out burger. The burger will be delicious, less than half the cost of my disgusting Cali burger, and won’t be smothered I. Garlic! Yay!

Uggh. Uninspired menu. Carnival food at best. Menu needs an update, may have been relevant in 1997 but no longer. Over seasoned hamburger meat and inedible salmon and broccoli rabbe. Blecch. Wine pours are 6 or 9 oz pours which I hate. Just pour me a substantial glass for 10 bucks. Wont return to any of the Johnny Garlics.

Break from wine tasting and lunch at the original Johnny Garlics. Creole wrap with fries and soup salad for wife. Great service, execution and tribute to «flavor town». Much better than their Dublin store. Great job from our server Raven. We will be back!

Been hearing about this place for years from my family so we made reservations for a party of 12. I was impressed that we were given a patio already set up and it was very warm, heat lamps in the covered I closed patio. It was during the big rain storm so we could hear the rain but never felt like it was going to make us wet. We came on a day where their giant fish bowl drinks were half off so that was an easy choice to get onto, not so easy choice on which one because they had so many different options! I can’t remember the name of the bowl but it was good. For dinner we had the volcano chicken and the special, venison medallions. I’ve never had venison before and I heard that it has to be prepared a certain way or it can be ruined, but it was excellent. Tender and flavorful. The volcano chicken was good, but it’s chicken… I probably would have picked something else to order next time I go. Prices were a little on the high side, but the food was good and we had great service. Overall a good dinning experience.
