This restaurant has awesome salads and sandwiches, very reasonably priced. Had we known how huge the sandwiches were, we would have split the sandwich and salad — must try and you will most likely go back again. Wait staff very attentive and friendly — even gave us fresh drinks to go!

This was amazing! Everyone had something different from grilled cheese and steak sandwiches to open faced veggie sandwiches and summer salads. We loved it all! We also enjoyed dessert: my son loved his double chocolate chip, I enjoyed the coconut cookie and my husband loved the fluffy key lime pie.

Excellent food, drinks and ambiance. A hidden gem in Grayton Beach just up the road from the hustle and bustle of Red Bar. The shrimp and grits were fantastic as was the tomato basil soup. Plenty of food in each serving so come hungry.

Foodie who is particular about eating, yet has two boys: We tried Chanticleer because my husband loves Cajun cuisine. The chef is from the Caribbean and uses that influence along with southern and Cajun for his menu. We couldn’t be happier. This is the 3rd time in Santa Rosa, staying in Old Florida Cottages that we love, and we have been to the Red Bar every time except this last time. We were typically on a later eating, later paced schedule sleeping in, getting to beach, riding bikes, then getting ready so we always made it to dinner later — ish. This place was full enough for sure, yet you didn’t have to wait for an hour — two hours like you have to at the Red Bar or Stinkys, yet it was JUSTASGOOD in my opinion. We went there two nights.: Appetizer: crab claws: Highly recommended!!! This small bowl holds plenty of crab claws(smaller sized ones but there are plenty for 1 – 2 people) spiced perfectly and not swimming in butter but just enough and they serve an extra butter whip for dipping. My kids loved them so we ordered two bowls the second time we went there. Shrimp and grits: DEVINE — the grits are amazing, shrimp perfectly cooked and spiced. Kids: pork sandwiches, absolutely delicious Jambalaya:(hubs) perfect smoky flavor, plenty of shrimp, spicy but not overwhelming where you can’t feel your tongue Pork chops and mash: almost every meal I had was seafood at this point so I chose the chops. These were a surprise: boneless, and grilled– very good cuts. Large portion and the mashed potatoes were made with dill /excellent. Chicken and Rice:(hubs) spicy comfort food reminded him of something his mom would make. Portions in general were very large and you can expect to take food home to have for lunch the next day . Salads come with entrees(extra bonus) And hubs says the meals there were the most reasonable we had the whole week. Hubs had Abita beer and I had a Pinot noir that was good(I’m a wine snob) that wasn’t overpriced, yet good. I looked at the mixed drinks list and they looked good, however I do not remember what they were . Also, both nights, chef came to check on our meals and to see if they met our expectations . A+++

Several locals recommended Chanticleer Eatery while we were vacationing in Seagrove. We always follow the advice of locals AND read great reviews on Unilocal so we decided to give it a try even through we typically stray from salad/sandwich places at the beach. I am glad we listened because this place did not disappoint! I know, I know, how great can a sandwich be, right? Trust me, this place is not to be missed. It’s a great lunch spot and they have ample seating but we opted for take-away. We tried the Roast Beefy and Turkey Bacon Guacamole sandwiches. Both were fantastic! The salads looked amazing and I will definitely try one of those on our next trip. Based on reviews, I could not resist the temptation of trying the cookies. They have two types, chocolate chip and coconut macadamia nut so we decided to try both. These cookies are unbelievable! It’s too tough to decide which is best so I recommend splurging for both… you can always save half for later. :)

Well this place has exploded and it is phenomenal!!! Some of the best food I have ever had in my life. The pork nachos are served on freshly fried pork skins and they don’t lose their crunch even with the amount of the toppings loaded on here. Perfectly cooked and amazingly seasoned pulled pork to die for, and a lot of it. The queso is amazing on its own and is the perfect complement to the dish. Whiskey bbq sauce adds another layer of flavor while the jalapeños add a little kick of heat. Add in some cheddar cheese diced tomatoes and green onions with bacon and this becomes a flawless dish. I cannot believe how amazing this is. It’s also a huge portion! For the area the cost is rather low which is surprising because of the insanely high quality and execution of the food. Fantastic customer service so polite and friendly and great at what they do. Don’t miss this place!!!

Chanticleer rocks the house on 30A! This is by far the best meal I’ve had this week… Shrimp & Grits is the best I’ve had. They do their Grits in house and add a fantastic spice blend to finish it off. The Cobb Salad is tops, and my bride loved it! Hearty enough to be an entrée amd all locally sourced ingredients. The Grilled Chicken Flatbread appetizer was«Smack yo’ Momma good,» and the Double Chocolate & White Chocolate Coconut Cookies were excellent and $ 1.25 each! :) Great atmosphere, great food, great restaurant! We will be back next year!

We are locals and eat here regularly. Everything I have had has been excellent. The chanticleer grilled cheese is a decadent version of your traditional grilled cheese and pairs beautifully with their soups. The spicy pork sandwich is tender with a little kick and is delicious. The salads are large and flavorful and they have a large variety to choose from. The chicken and rice is comfort food heaven, the burger is excellent… I could go I and on. Love this place for lunch and dinner. My favorite place in the area.

A couple days ago I got a salad to go and no dressing came with it so I had to eat it with just some cheese, fruit, nuts, and lettuce plain. My brother gobbled up his ham and cheese sandwich and side of beans. I wrote a review about being upset with not having any dressing(which is deleted now) and the owner kindly reached out to me and was sorry about the mistake and wanted to make it up to me. Although I was upset with my first order a couple days ago, they gave us free cookies and paid for my new salad that I just ordered. My family ordered their own food and loved it. The owner of the restaurant truly cares about each customer having a good experience which is really nice to see! P. S. get the white chocolate chip coconut cookies… They’re awesome if you have a sweet tooth like me.

Great salads. Their tomato soup was good, nothing special. The grilled cheese is huge and overstuffed with bacon. I didn’t find their cookies to live up to all the hype but would come again as its one of the better places to eat in the area with better than usual service. Eating out on the patio is nice, too.

My wife and I stopped by this hidden home run. Tucked away in Grayton, we had heard from a friend that they had found this incredible spot. As we are always looking for places to eat down there… we gave it a try. We went on December 30th for lunch at around noon. They were relatively busy, but being the day before NYE… not packed . We both had soup and sandwiches which were crazy good. I had a cup of Tomato bisque which was as good as I ‘ve ever had. I also had an Italian sandwich. This sandwich was hefty in size and was on clearly homemade bread. The meats were piled on and the peppers were slightly spicy but close to perfect. My wife had a BLT and a sausage gumbo. She said it was the best BLT she’d ever had. I consider her a connoisseur of the BLT. again fresh bread, heaps and heaps of bacon, a bit of lettuce and a beautiful thick tomato slice. The only thing less than perfect is the décor… a little boring. The servers were enthusiastic and knowledgeable… yet a little spotty as they disappeared from time to time. They sold us on their desserts but we were too full to eat anything. We told our friends about the restaurant and they immediately went and raved about it as well. As we were getting ready to throw our NYE party one of the families showed up with a couple dozen of the cookies and they were UNBELIEVABLE. By far, the best new find of the trip and it will go on our must visit on every trip to the beach

What a delightful little spot! My awesome sweet husband found by querying Unilocal. We had a delicious steak and mushroom sammy on a home made roll with fresh tomato basil soup. Topped off with a sinful coconut white chocolate chip cookie. If are near Grayton Beach FL seek this place out. You will not be sorry. #bestmealthisvaycay!

I was looking forward to a return trip to this hidden gem. Everyone in our party had chicken and rice. I went rogue and had guacamole bites and smoked cheddar grits. The chicken and rice won rave reviews. I thought it had a good flavor but a bit too spicy for me. The guacamole bites were crispy and delicious. The smoked cheddar grits were smooth and creamy. The quality was very good but with no sides included, the chicken and rice runs $ 15. Make sure to ask about the white chocolate coconut cookies. So good and buttery. The service is quick and exceptional. Definitely worth the trip.

Excellent food and service. All apps, entrees and desserts were top notch. The fried guacamole, stuffed jalapeño poppers and apple cinnamon egg rolls were all delicious. Nice twist on the egg rolls. The chicken & rice was spicy and delicious. Excellent flavored. Also recommend the shrimp & grits, burgers and pork chop. Highly recommend.

We went to Chanticleer for dinner. At 8pm on a Wednesday night we were the only guests there. Service was quick and our server was very nice. We ordered the fried guacamole and stuffed jalapeños for appetizer. Both were delicious. I ordered the Cobb salad and my sister ordered the southwest salad. We loved them! The kids got chicken strips which were your typical chicken strips that come in a kids meal but the children enjoyed them. We ordered lemon cake for dessert which was super good. This has been our favorite meal of our vacation on 30A.

When you have had your fill of beach food, some of which can be sadly predictable and, unfortunately, some less than awesome, and you want just very good food at a good price with good portion size give this a try. Without looking closely or using your GPS or paying close attention to the address you might drive right pass this restaurant. Please take the time to look for this spot. When there it is difficult to figure out where and how to order, the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful and will guide you along. This is a order at a bar, seat yourself and they bring the food to you kind of place. Atmosphere is nice, bright, clean and not too loud, also a nice break. They also have an inviting outdoor seating area under a big tree. I had the Caesar Salad with flat iron steak on top, it was great and the portions all were plentiful. My son ordered the Reuben and it good. The pulled pork sandwich was great. The Southwest Spicy salad was also great. My two 17 year old boys dubbed this a «pretty cool place», which is quite a compliment. BTW, The food turn around time was pretty good, even remarkable for a party of eight.

There are restaurants and then there are places like Chanticleer Eatery. This place had it all. Amazing service, check. Great portions for the right price, check. Wonderful feel to the room, check. Excellent environment and culture, check. Incredible tasting food, check and check. The cool thing is, the owners came and chatted with us. They told us a little of the background – it’s named after the Canterbury Tales that the owner grew up reading. The place should be a 30A staple and classic. Simply amazing!
