The key to have a good experience at this giant corporate chain is to go with low expectations(costumer service wise). The product is consistent and prices a little higher than I prefer, but overall it’s fine for a quick with cup of coffee. If you’re looking for designer coffee, there are plenty of other options around this area.

The lines have died down. The hysteria has faded. Regardless, Santa Monica’s Dunkin’ Donuts serves up the best coffee on the block, combined with good donuts. While the bar for quality donuts in the area has been raised(notably: Sidecar) the service is great and the space is clean. There’s not much more to ask for.

Amazing service, with delicious donuts. For those we claim they are not donut fans, ya’ll trippen. Dunkin donuts are every east coast girl’s heaven. Cakes, sugary, delicious goodness. I was super excited that Dunkin make it to the west coast because it was tired of hauling munchkins from NY back to the Bay for everyone. Anyway the service here again is incredible. Every employee welcomes you with a smile. Suggests the application and gets your order right. They even answer all your questions regarding recommendations and so forth. The drinks are phenomenal as I grew up drinking Dunkin over anywhere else. Definitely give this location a try. You won’t be dissapointed!

The stars are for the service. Guys were friendly. Donuts LOOK great, but are pretty tasteless and have barely any filling.(The star on top isn’t for decoration, that’s about how much you get– the inside is empty!) I ordered a black iced coffee, and was asked, «is decaf ok, we’re out of regular.» For me, what’s the pointing coffee??? I stopped in to get 2 dozen for my firefighter friends, sadly I bet they were disappointed. Rounding it all out, I got panhandled on the way out by a couple sitting at one of the shoppes sidewalk tables. Wish I carried more cash… I haven’t had a Dunkin Donut since about 1980, and grew up on the east coast with the chain. I remember them being a lot better… I’ll be sticking to my local favs, Blinkies or Spudnuts on Topanga if I get the urge to have one from now on! Curiosity satisfied. TIP: Yes, free parking in the back, but watch the signs– some are reserved for other businesses in the same area. Plenty of street parking. Bring a buck for the homeless guy who opens the door for you…

Solid one star. About the same as the East Coast version(I just sort of moved back from Boston). Terrible quality frozen food and donuts but very mediocre coffee, just like in Boston. Overrated but fiercely loved by New Englanders. Still a no thanks from me. Oh, and definitely a 1-star review for the customer service like everyone else has stated.

If I could give a negative I would. Not only did they mess up our orders, and couldn’t understand what I wanted. The barista employee … kept telling me what do you want NOW after he said it few times. I finally said. What do I want NOW? Please do not speak to me in this tone. I won’t go into any details because it will be lengthy review. But he had no idea what was a sugarfree vanilla(is) and the fact he spoke to someone with that tone and attitude. What do you want now. Excuse that I am bothering you … while you are getting paid to do the work. We ended up throwing away our drinks and calling it a day. Took our business to Alfred coffee. Horrible I get it that its busy and people get frustrated. But no need to have an attitude.

Four stars for good coffee and easy parking. The coffee is the draw. Brewed coffee can be ordered extra large($ 2.59). Donuts are just ok — they are fast food donuts, not gourmet. It’s not a place to meet people or get work done on your laptop. Parking is free and easy in the lot behind Dunkin or at the meters in front which are free until 9am.(My shoes are sticking to the floor at 8:30 in the morning so that tells me they do not clean regularly. That’s disappointing.) The newer Dunkin on Washington Blvd across from Costco in Culver City has a better layout. We’re just glad we have a Dunkin coffee in Santa Monica!

I will not be back. Ordered two toasted bagels with extra cream cheese, a vanilla chai, and an iced french vanilla coffee. The two bagels were so incredibly over toasted that you have the feeling of them cutting your throat. The vanilla chai was decent, but that french vanilla ice coffee was absolutely horrendous. If it was literal liquid dirt, I wouldn’t be surprised. The man behind the counter was so weird. All he did was practically whisper to you, and I found myself saying«what?» over and over again. My friend had to use the restroom, and the guy kept giving her the wrong code for the key pad as if he was making numbers up each time. LOL probably won’t be back again, and I would like to try it again as I now don’t understand the incredibly hype behind the Dunkin’ Donuts brand.

Ordered: s’more hot chocolate — so delish! blueberry latte — needs a sweetener, but the blueberry taste is definitely present. Peppermint hot chocolate Everything was just how I remembered it to be in NYC! There are 2 tables, more of a grab & go. Parking is located in the back of Dunkin, not on Wilshire

Pretty darn good service for a Dunkin Donuts! Back east, the service could be hit or miss, but this location is on point. I grew up in New York & New England, so I had been eating donuts from this business since I was a toddler. Back when I was a kid you would go into your local shop and watch the donuts being made, pretty neat, but that stopped about 20 years ago. Hence, I feel that the quality of the donuts has changed, but that’s not the fault of this location. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of these donuts. Since I became an adult, DD became more about the delicious coffee for me and the occasional bagel. I might have the occasional donut once or twice a month, but I don’t love them. I spent the past year in Silicon Valley *shudder* where there are no DD locations!!! :( When we moved to LA I was ECSTATIC to see this store. I have probably been in this location 8 times since July. The staff is very friendly and my order has always been correct or they ask to double check. For all of the complainers, I am guessing you aren’t from the east coast. Let me explain something, when it is 5 degrees out back east, you are on your way to work after having scrapped ice from your car, have freezing cold hands/feet and you pull through the DD drive through for a quality coffee with some cream it just makes your morning better! No, DD is not Starbucks and thank god it isn’t.

Amazing coffee, just like the east coast. Certainly, people will have complaints because they are vegan/healthy/annoying/whiners. Honestly dunkin donuts doesn’t need your business. You can take your favorite laptop or book to starbucks or somewhere that caters to your«library needs». I may just hangout here to meet other people from Massachusetts, with no books, no laptop and headphones, only an allstar french vanilla for $ 2.09.

Welcome to the WEST Coast DD! My first experience at DD was in NYC years ago. I remembered how SWEET it was then and didn’t care for them much then. Thought to give it a try and I don’t remember them being too sweet from what I remembered. We were out and about early this morning and picked up some donuts from down the street(not gunna mention name) for my daughter’s Key Club Fundraiser. While we were leaving that location, we decided to stop by DD. They weren’t crazy busy but enough people to keep everyone busy! It doesn’t matter what flavor your get. ALL the donuts has it’s unique flavor and texture. In our family, we like to share. We always half the donuts in fours so that we get to taste all the flavors and this is what we shared. Bluberry Cake — This really does remind me of a cake without the frosting. I enjoyed the creamy, blueberry flavor. It was slightly glazed that didn’t over power the flavor of the donut. This next one reminds me of Homer, Strawberry Frosted Donut. First of all, it’s so pretty eat. It’s strawberry flavored glaze on top with sprinkles. Very pink vibrant color dounut that just makes you want to dance. I enjoyed the strawberry flavor in the glaze. The Bavarian Kreme & Vanilla Kreme similar except the Vanilla was villed with a lighter cream. The Bavarian cream is a light vanilla pudding in the center and dusted with confectioners sugar. I thought it was going to be rich and dense but instead light and fluffy. Very easy to eat. Oreo Cheesecake Square Donut was decadent. Very interesting & delightful. Definitely richer. Really taste like dessert. Very light and fluffy just like the Bavarian Kreme. The donut is square, cheesecake frosted on top and sprinkled with finely crushed Oreo cookies on top. Filled with more cream cheese. I also had a small coffee with cream & sugar to help wash it down! So next time you go to a bakery or donut shop with your loved ones, remember to share! I hope to see DD in the valley in the future!

As someone coming from the east coast where Dunkin Donuts is prevalent, there’s an excessive ammount of excitement for their donuts and this new Santa Monica location. But really it’s not as great as the west coast trendsetters claim it to be. Thought it would be cute to try the heart donuts around Valentines… Big Mistake if wanting to eat them. Mostly were dry, and the chocolate hearts had a filling that tasted similar to olives. but at least it looks pretty.

Second time here, finally nice to have DD on the West Coast. It is a more west coast DD in design in the interior plus a few added items on the menu that I feel are geared to the west coast. I ordered my favorite both times now: egg white with cheese on a croissant. The first time it lacked the warm melt in your mouth feeling that I enjoyed very much but the second time I ordered it, it was warm, soft and amazing. This place has free wifi and a few tables for seating plus two single seaters. You can sit here with your laptop to get work done but outlets are scarce. This place definitely caters to the grab and go coffee guy.

I have been traveling to and from the East Coast my entire life and was raised around Dunkin Donuts basically my entire life. What Yum Yum and/or Krispy Kreme is to the West Coast, DD is to the East Coast BUT wayyyyyyy better!!! So stoked to see they have finally made the transition out West. I even remember their old school commercial with the catchphrase ‘time to make the donuts.’ I observed the madness online of when this place opened and knew there was no chance I was going to subject myself to that so I waited it out and planned my visit perfectly. I have been fasting for my physical blood work and drove directly from the Doctor to Santa Monica to score me some frosted goodness. I arrived at this location shortly after 9:30 in the morning and was able to secure metered parking directly in front=) I exited my car and walked directly into an overwhelming aroma of pleasure. They say a lot of memories are triggered by smell and that is exactly what happened to me. The last time I had DD was several years ago but I still knew my order by hearts(1 chocolate crème filled &1 chocolate honey glazed). I ordered a decaffeinated coffee with soy, I love how they make the coffee for you and always add the appropriate amount of sugar/milk/soy/almond milk as requested. This Dunkin Donuts also offers a wide range of menu options other than just donuts to breakfast sandwiches, bagels w/vegetable cream cheese which is simply amazing to specialty coffees and blended drinks. At the time of my visit I found the staff to be friendly, fast with service, all with smiles and great attitudes. Most importantly I found this DD to be spotless even the bathroom because you know I always look=) Without question the next time I get the vibe for a donut I will be driving to Santa Monica to get my donut freak on!!! This location is located on a pretty busy corner in Santa Monica and offers plenty of window tables, great for people watching.

I don’t drink coffee — however, I’m actually posting a review of this location, because after a few visits, mainly because one of my friends grew up in Chicago — and grew up on Dunkin’ Donuts — I’m commenting on the service. Each time(2), I had a smoothie. They’re fine. Not so great I’d drive to Santa Monica just for it — but decent enough that I ordered it again, when I was here the other day. Each time though(2), service was pretty bad. This time around — after paying for my order, the cashier just looks at me while I’m waiting for my change like I’m the one with an problem. When I ask for my change and show her my receipt, it was as if I was burdening her, due to her mistake. No apology. Just all attitude as she did what she had to do to complete the transaction. Then, I went over to the pick up counter and I asked for the restroom key code and let the employee there know, that I would be going to wash my hands. I had barely finished and closed the door and I can hear the employee yelling out my number. Again, with attitude. Probably because I didn’t respond immediately. Now, I understand she sees lots of people and probably didn’t remember me letting her know I’d be right back — so that’s not my issue. My issue is the attitude of not just one, but two of the employees I encountered there. The attitude from the second person was sharp enough that as I approached the counter, I could hear other customers, who were waiting on their drinks, trying to explain that I was on my way. I’ve had many conversations with people about my feelings towards the decline of customer service these days. My experiences with DD, specifically at this location, only reinforce those feelings.

I know the donuts are the stars however the people who make sure we receive those delicious donuts and fresh iced teas are the winners. I come here every morning for my large iced teas and croissant donut fix. Delvaughn or Anthony are usually on the register. I’m usually met with a smile and witty humor. Lucas is always friendly and keeping things in order and Kevin is a ball of fun also. These four really stand out and I love starting my day with them. Now to the donuts. There always fresh and if you come around certain parts of the year they have specialty donuts also. I need to slow down before I look like Santa!

How do I console myself for missing my Hot Yoga class… showed up ONE darn MINUTE late to 10:30am class only to find the door locked… BoooWaaaaHaaaa!!! Luckily I had my DDPerks to redeem down the street, YAY! My pick me up treats –00– Enjoyed my free DD Vanilla latte &2-for-1 donuts DDPerk — not too bad of an alternative, hehe! And free wifi too to browse and Unilocal while enjoying my Friday morning treat. Guess the Universe has a way of making things work out, wink ^_^
