Made In the Shade

So glad I found this small but well-​edited collection! Located in The Design Center. I shopped a couple of other places and was ready to give up and order online. This is the kind of store where the more you look, the more you see, the stock is crowded, so give yourself time to shop. Also, I so enjoyed speaking with Lee, she’s a fascinating person. The stock in this shop is more sophisticated than I expected, and more varied, with a range of tastes represented including industrial, not very severe modern, traditional and down-​home Western/​Southwestern. She carries a significant collection of cloth lamp shades, including some novelty shades, you’ll probably find the perfect shade here – don’t forget your lamp. Price points vary – this is not Target, people – but it’s not a high design, ya-​gotta-​be-​rich-​to-​shop-​here either. A statement or locally made, large table lamp could run you $ 250; a medium sized artistic focal-​piece shade could be $ 125. Very nice collection of floor lamps. Also, they do lamp repair.

Super nice couple run this shop. Customer service is fantastic and their selection of great shades is the best. If they don’t have it they can have it custom-​made for you. Make sure to check them out!
