Spent $ 125 on a shirt for my husband, was told by the sales person that non-sale items could be returned/exchanged but neglected to mention that it was a 7-day policy. Of course we came back to do the exchange well-past their 7 day policy at which point no other return/exchange policy was available to us. Honestly, if I’m going to spend $ 100 on a shirt, I may as well go to Nordstrom and buy a high end, quality shirt that I KNOW can be returned/exchanged under a fair and REASONABLE store return/exchange policy. What a joke.

7 day return policy… may as well not even offer gift receipts. No exchanges, nothing. I was given a nice shirt from here as a gift for Christmas but it was way too small, not even close to an XL — mislabeled. Unfortunate, because I would like to support a small business but will not come back here.

Manly. This store defines manliness. From the deer trophies on the wall to the Jack Black facial care company being sold. I first heard about them on the«Art of Manliness» podcast. Next time I visited Santa Cruz, I went in and purchased a really cool tie clip. They have cool belt buckles, clothes, wrenches and hair care products. They were playing Weezer on CD and the staff was super cool!

Way too expensive and definitely not my cup of tea. I mean, if $ 95 flannel shirts is your thing, knock your socks off and visit this place. You could totally spend $ 150 and walk out of here with a pair of socks AND a paper receipt!!! Straight up joke!

After checking out the Stripe storefront 2 doors down we walked out and noticed Stripe Men. this place is awesome. Women and children’s boutique stores are a dime a dozen but finding a nice men’s store is rare. These guys have executed it wonderfully. The gentleman at the counter warmly greeted is and offered assistance if needed. We chose to browse ourselves. The store has a nice assortment of male gadgetry– think bottle openers, portable shot glasses, flasks and«handy multi– tools» there’s an area of bath stuffs with aftershave in scents like«whiskey» and«sexy man.» There’s a glass case with bow ties, ties and another area with really nice cuff links. My favorite area was the assortment of cards, pens and desk items. Like the multi pen tool which had a leveler and screwdriver in it. I picked up a card and headed over to the counter. The gentleman asked all they typical«how’s your day?» «Did you find everything?» Questions but he was adorable. Young kid, we talked about our traveling plans and how much he liked Santa Cruz it was just a nice convo with a nice guy. He wished us well and safe travels and we went on our way with smiles on our faces and good vibes. Worth a look if you are in the area we may even order stuff online for a gift or something.

Clever, Inventive, intuitive thats what this store is. Big brother to the always fun women’s stripe store on the same block, I have never failed to find just the right gift for the men in my life. When you enjoy giving a gift that has just the right tone you will feel right at home here. Go shop and step back cause the joy will arrive. Thanks for such a great store. e

Dear Stripe Men, Are you in my head, watching my thoughts? I want to buy everything in your excellent store. Thank you for bringing a touch of classy masculinity to downtown Santa Cruz. Please tell my wife that she only needs to make one stop this Christmas season. Yours, D

Definitely the best shop in Santa Cruz for men’s fashion. Excellent assortment of tastefully selected clothing and accessories(I am currently enamored with a money clip they sell that is engraved with a map of Santa Cruz). Friendly staff are attentive without being aggressive or pushy. Stripe is the type of store you would expect to find in the mission district of San Francisco and I only wish there more businesses like this one in Santa Cruz.

I’m a big fan. As someone said below, I would date this store. Always enjoy the front window displays, the staff are just the right amount of aloof and charmingly nice to look at, and there seems to be a pretty good turnaround of items in the store. Whenever I’m downtown I make time to pop in and explore. Also, the greeting card selection in the back is great for a giggle. So glad such a «hip» store is in SC.

I was iffy in the possibility of finding a march for the Stripe store — but this beautifully decorated Men’s version is equally to die for! All sorts of manly things and awesome local made products, it’s become a must stop along with the first Stripe shop — every visit! Staff are kind and very down to earth, got a question on an item — and they’re always willing to help!

Oh yeah, the snottyness is as thick as freshly ground organic almond butter, but they sure know how to merchandise and style. I like to think of the savant like nature mentioned in others’ reviews as a kind of fashionista tourretts. They simply can’t help themselves. Store front windows as handsome as a photo shoot, always inspired and staged to perfection. Polished off with a fine F– U attitude. I’ll continue to admire from afar.

Such a cool store to shop in. Wish it was in the Mission. I wanted everything in there. Wish they had more watches.

This small shop is worthy of a road trip because it is THE coolest men’s store.(Think SF-Mission-shop-cool.) Already a big fan of Stripe Design, and my main reason for exiting off Rt 1 whenever I’m in the area, I was happy to learn Stripe had moved their masculine offerings into a separate shop just a couple doors down the block. Ideal for hipsters as well as those people who, well, need help. From handsome camping gear and manly accessories to practical fashion and antiques, the inventory delights. Whether you need a gift or want something to do, this place is shopping fun for any adult. Seriously everyone, including the ladies.

Eclectic and stylish, this men’s boutique is a hipster gadget museum. My mom and I spent over an hour in there, oohing and awing over the merchandising and display. Jose helped us, he’s over the top amazing, helpful, and sweet. This is my new Santa Cruz gift destination.

There’s an interesting vintage vibe here at Stripe MEN with old-style products and accessories for men. I found unique books, clothing, moustache keychains and erasers — even holiday cards — that are supposed to appeal to those with high testosterone levels. Note: hubby was enthralled by the tail fin half of an old bomb, which was on a table in the center of the store. Stop by and check this store out for potential gifts for the men in your life.
