The falafel wrap was so delicious. Their falafel is crisp on the outside, but moist and delicious on the inside. I’ve had so much dried-out falafel in my life, and it was so nice to have some that wasn’t for once! And it’s wonderful that they give you extra(lemon-tahini?) sauce to drench your food in. The perfect late night meal, since they are open quite late.

My review is for their burgers not the typical middle eastern entrees for which I would give it 3 stars. I come to this place just for the burger. Among the halal burger joints, this is the best option around — kind of like In-n-out for halal food audience. I typically order the Avocado Ranch burger here but I tried their Tex Mex burger as well and that was also very decent. Kids order the regular cheese burger and they love it. I tried their Gyro pizza once but it came out after we were all done with the rest of stuff. So will postpone the review of their pizza to a later visit.

Ordered Chicken wrap and it was very good. Pita bread is soft, but I should have asked for more sauce(it was tahini + something), since the whole thing seemed a bit too dry! But super delicious.

Love the food here. Amazing Kebab! Great selection of desserts(Baklava, Middle Eastern Ice Cream). Beautiful and Spacious. And open late on weekends for Ramadan!

We stopped by in here one day after just having purchased a motorcycle down the street. It was really hot outside, and somewhat hot inside(no AC). We ordered the super gyros(one regular and one chicken). Place is a lot better than Falafels & More in San Jose, which we walk to from work. Really should get some AC for this place for those really hot summer days. This place is probably a good little event center, some small TVs and lots of room to push the tables and treat a small party. Will probably stop by and try some other things on the menu if I’m in the area again.

The only reason I’m rating then 3 stars is we had to wait, for almost an hour to get our food. The Chicken Platter was really good with the humus. I guess we had to wait because it was in the late noon and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The Baklava portion was small and a little on the juicy side.

So it’s been awhile since the last time I’ve been here so I thought I’d give it another try. I ordered the food from doordash and the food came surprisingly fast and hot. Order Tex-Mex Burger, chicken plate, gyro plate and the beef bolani. All of them… wow what can I say! They hit the SPOT. They did did me right this time… my faith has been restored. Falafel Corner has definitely stepped up their game since the last time eating here. Let’s hope that they stay consistent. I will be back hungry for more.

OCCASION: The boyfriend and I just finished our photoshoot together at Santa Clara University on a Saturday late afternoon. He knows I love falafels so he found this place on Unilocal. We decided to come here after finding out that the crêpe place we originally wanted to go to was closed at 4:00PM. Luckily, we found this place! ENVIRONMENT: Very close to Santa Clara University. It s a very short drive and we easily found it when we were driving on the streets. There is enough parking and inside, there were only fans, no air conditioning. It was empty and dead but at least it had many TVs. The only sound was coming from one TV. You pay at the cash register. There was only 2 other small groups in there. There was a lot of seating and we picked a table next to the window. FOOD: We both got a falafel wrap. It was delicious. We also got a salad to share together. However, we both didn’t like this one vegetable(we don’t know the name) in the salad and left it there. Pita bread and falafel were decent. PRICE: Inexpensive. Highly recommend for college students like myself. CUSTOMERSERVICE: The man at the cash register was very quiet. He didn’t say any greetings or farewells. OVERALL: Good experience after finding out the crêpe place we wanted to go to closes at 4PM. Customer service is whatever. Food is decent for the price.

I absolutely love this place! All burgers have a choice of beef, chicken, or veggie patty!!! The Classic Cheeseburger chicken with thousand island, mayo and cheese is my fav! Also the kabob platter is outstanding. I always buy it to-go(the to-go package is very well made. Has rice, warm bread, utensils, etc. Everything is arranged well and always fresh). The kabob platter also comes with a delicious fresh salad! And the rice is also fresh — never overcooked!

Tried this place for the first time the other day. While that was not bad, it was no Falafel Drive-In. My falafel wrap only had three(but pretty big) pieces of falafel. And there was a thin layer of tahini on the pita, but was a bit bland. And the sauce they served it with? I assume it was mostly lemon juice with a dash of tahini. Pass. The hummus plate was pretty good, but they garnished it with cilantro. Maybe they ran out of parsley? The pita was pretty good too. The curly fries… a ginormous portion for $ 4 – 5, but overcooked. My buddy praised his gyro… with bacon… but this place seemed mediocre at best.

Twice now that I ordered a takeout. The first time I got someone elses order(even thought they told me it’s mine), the second time I only got half of what I ordered. Both times I had to drive all the way back to correct their mistakes, and all I got back was an amused response. Won’t be a third time.

Came in at 8:15 pm on a Sunday. First off WOWTHISPLACESMELLSBAD. Open a window, add an air refresher or something. I ordered a falafel wrap and fries. Serviceable. Not the best falafel I’ve had but was crispy. Fries were crispy and good. My gf ordered a cheese pizza that took forever to make. It came out burned and we watched the chef cut off the burnt ends with his bare hands. Even the guy running the place said«don’t touch the pizza with your hands». Owner was cool and understanding and gave me a refund.

You get less value by the money you pay here. It took them 15 minutes to just grill a chicken while the place was not really busy!

This place deserves 3.5 stars but I guess I’ll have to round up to 4. The restaurant was much bigger than expected. We came here on a Friday night and it was pretty empty. Mostly just saw delivery services coming and going throughout the duration of my dinner. The curly fries were pretty good. The gyro wrap I had was pretty decent. The meat was tasty and flavorful. The pita bread was soft and tender. I wish it had more sauce. The falafel in my mom’s wrap was kind of dry. I’ve had better. They do offer pizza so maybe I’ll try that next time! They also offer burgers and platters so lots of variety here. 1) The women’s bathroom door wouldn’t lock correctly? 2) The food took a surprisingly long time to come out for us being the only customers. 3) Waiter/cashier was a little awkward. He stood at our table with our tray of food just whispering to himself for a good 30 seconds. I was like«Uhhh, dad, your food is ready.» Apparently a little bit of meat fell off the plate and fell onto the tray. So the waiter just stood there awkwardly and then asked US to move the meat back onto the plate. My mom moved it and then the waiter just set the whole tray onto the table and left. Okaaay.

Been here 4 or 5 times. Every time, the falafel is super fresh and tasty, obviously freshly made. The owner is incredibly friendly and always offers us Afghani tidbits of things we’ve never tried before. Vegetarians will love this place, and meat eaters are in luck too. The gyros are very good, the chicken is excellent, and the secret is the rice and hummus underneath really make the plates perfect! I haven’t tried the American dishes yet(they have pizza and burgers), although the fries are tasty. And for kids, the owner made a mini pita pizza that our two year old totally loved! This place is a local gem, and we’re definitely regulars now.

Delicious fast food-ish Mediterranean/greek. I had the gyro platter with fries. The meat was good, very tender. Tasted like high quality meat. Great customer service! The owner really cares about the quality of food and his customers. If you didn’t like something or it was a bit off, just tell him and he’ll fix it. The drinks and desserts are self serve so don’t forget to grab them on your way out! I am also really intrigued by the pizza… I may try it next time. Gyro and pizza in one spot?! — yes please.

Falafel is one of the things the Bay area does exceptionally well. When I come in to town, I have to have it. Unfortunately, Falafel Café’s $ 8 namesake wrap was a disappointment. The falafel itself was okay, but the pita did not seem either warm or fresh, and the wrap itself had only a smear of tahini, some sad tomato and cucumber slices, and an astounding amount of iceberg lettuce. Not what I was hoping for at all. Took a few bites and tossed it.

I had a groupon for this restaurant and decided to use it finally. It was easy to find, has a large sign outside and is on a major road. Once there I went to the order desk and waited a very short time to order. I wanted the falafel platter and the gyru platter but they were out of the gyru meat so I got the chicken platter instead. The person taking the order was nice. She was also the waitress so she left to wait on a table after I ordered. The place was clean with lots of plain tables and chairs. There were several tables occupied with several kids wandering about(good for kids) My take out order came in about 15 minutes and I proceeded to drive home. When I got home the order was still warm. It looked great. We ended up eating the take out for dinner. My husband got the chicken platter and devoured it quickly. I had the falafel meal. The falafel was perfect… soft tasty inside with a firm outer shell. The salad was small but had lots of items in it such as tomatoes, onions, peppers, and olives. The hummus was a bit thinner than what I like but tasted fine. There are outdoor tables for those that want to eat outside on nice days. The parking lot has a good amount of parking spaces. Overall this was a good spot for Mediterranean food, service was good, servers were nice, food was good.

This was my first time here. A friend had recommended Falafel Café. I ordered Philly Gyro wow it was very good. The owner came to my table and asked if this was my first time here and I had indicated that yes this was my first time. He asked me what I thought of the food. I said outstanding I would recommend Falafel Café to everyone. Must try!!!

Food was disappointing. Chicken gyro was dry and flavorless. There was a lot of preservative color and artificial flavor in the chicken. Beef gyro was okay but had a foul meat smell to it. We also ordered a samosa which was supposed to have beef and herbs inside, instead, it had potato and chick peas with no hint of beef. When we asked the guy who served us he said, «this is how we make it». NOTE: The place is now called«falafel café» instead of «falafel corner». But they still claim to be the same which I doubt if it is true. Would not ever want to come back.

I used to come here once a week when they opened. Their meat had a nice flavor and was cooked well. This was 6 months ago. I got back recently after a long business trip and was looking forward to eating here. I ordered a combo meal for pickup tonight. After I got home, I noticed the chicken was half cooked, gyro meat were sliced inconsistently, some were thick and some normal. I was too hungry to drive back to return and get another one, I removed the chicken and ate rest of it. I must say I am pretty disappointed. Not sure what happened since 6 months, but I don’t think I am coming back for a long time.

Decent customer service, clean restaurant interior, plenty of seating, reasonably priced burgers, and the food tastes nice and fresh. 3.5÷5 stars. I ordered an Avocado Ranch Burger($ 7.49), plain Fries($ 2.49), a Gyro Wrap($ 7.99), and baklava for dessert($ 1.50-$ 2). The avocado ranch burger took a little time to prepare, but it was well worth it, as the meat was nice and juicy and mixed well the ranch sauce and crisp vegetables. The fries were actually my favorite item that I ordered, as they were crunchy on the outside, and extremely soft in the middle. To be honest, they were the best plain fries I’ve had in a long time. The gyro wrap, while large and packed full of ingredients, seemed a little dry. That being said, I plan on returning at some point and ordering the gyro wrap again, and I’ll make sure to ask for an extra side of tzatziki sauce to dip my gyro in. Regarding the baklava, I’m not sure how long it was sitting out for, but it didn’t taste as fresh as I would have liked it to be. Regarding the burgers… …I originally wanted to order a bacon cheddar burger, but the employee said they were out of bacon. A couple of other people have mentioned that this restaurant was out of bacon when they asked for a bacon cheddar burger in the past, so I’m not sure what the deal is… Is their bacon really that popular??? I’ll eat here again, I just hope they’re prepared to serve me bacon when I ask for it next time! :)

My first visit here was pretty horrible. I ordered a gyro wrap to go and sat down to wait for my order. 20 mins passed and they still haven’t delivered my food to me. I go up to the cashier to check on my order as people who ordered after me were already served. I was assured my order is coming up, so I sat back down. 15 mins later, I again notice other people receive their food before me. The cashier sees me stand up and immediately goes to the back to check on my order. Apparently they left it bagged sitting there for about 20ish mins. I go home and eat a dry gyro. I visited one more time as I chalked up my earlier visit as a fluke. This time I placed a philly gyro order over the phone for pickup and my food was ready as I arrived. The gyro was good, but maybe I expected more.

Been forever since I’ve had falafel. The last place I went to tasted like BURNTFALAFEL! I even went a 2nd time when the owner offered me a free one via Unilocal message. The first time I had falafel was at falafel drive in and it was almost the best thing I’ve ever had, but that was +10years ago. Through groupon we had our dinner here. For take out its $ 10, but $ 12 dine in. Location: the other side of El Camino real… like the unknown side kinda. Near kotetsu ramen, burger king, wellsfargo, academy salon, etc. Service: the owner took our order, got a number and sat down. Waiting time was about 45min…2 people in kitchen, 1 serving and 1 ordering. They had a hiring sign outside. Never got a freebie for a long wait, but server apologized. Food: we got Philly gyro(chicken, bell peppers, idk what else), pretty greasy, juicy chicken, crunchy veggies. Falafel gyro was so delicious! Falafel didn’t taste burnt, perfect amount of sauce and lots of lettuce. Pita was soft and warm too! The samosas came in 2 big triangles. Not like Indian ones though. They have ground beef, chickpeas, and spices. Wasn’t hot like it was freshly made. Bottom was cold and inside was a bit cold too. Wtf??? Didn’t bother to say anything since we were super hungry and we waited for awhile. They’re delicious though. Most items less than $ 10 except pizza and plates. They have a prayer room too? I just saw a sign. Self serve utensils, condiments, napkins and lemon water. If the wait wasn’t so damn long, I would’ve given 4 stars.

Thank you, Groupon for the $ 10 for $ 20 meal. I came here on a whim because there were tons of traffic on HWY17. The deal stated for«carry-out only» but the lady said it was fine that I grab a seat. I got the chicken plate, a Persian hot dog, and a club gyro(bacon and avocado) but sadly, there were out of bacon and since I decided to eat this for lunch the next day, my avocado was no bueno. My plan was to get some for Craig but he had dinner at work which is a rarity. My chicken tasted great but it didn’t have the usual spices and aroma that I am used to when it comes to Mediterranean food. The hummus was great although I wished that the pita bread was warmed up. The club gyro was very good even though I had it the day after… the wrap did not fall apart and the gyro wasn’t tough whatsoever. I cannot comment on the hot dog because that was what Gavin wanted and finished. Will surely try again.

So whenever i fly into town for business I try to support local. Thanks to Unilocal found this great little place. First off very friendly staff… Lots of parking and def a funky range of a menu. Hey guess it works for them. Had a hankering for some falafel. Got me the falafel plate(hummus, fresh salad, warm middle eastern bread, tahini etc) delish!!! And huge. Easily could be split btwn 2 folks. Falafel hot and crunchy on outside smooth on the inside… Fresh Baklava put right there when you are ordering who can resist? Not me. Really good and not too sweet or soggy. Someone makes a homemade saracha sauce here that is wicked good. About ½ way through the meal i put that shizzle on my bites of food. Mmmmm. Mmmm. Few large tv screens with sports center on. Good choice of drinks(and beer if you are one to lush it up during the work break) and some cool Indian ice cream. To bad my belly is stuffed with food or else i would have tried one. I will be back!

Was not my original choice to pick up dinner, but glad I came by this place. Spacious parking lot, and the restaurant is larger than I imagined. Prices are a bit expensive though, as its $ 8 for just a gyro. Fries and drink are an additional $ 4 or so, and they don’t accept cards unless it’s $ 10. Decided on the philly gyro as it was different and recommended by another Unilocaler, as well as to hit the $ 10 limit. it is quite expensive but they stuff it with a ton of meat. it was a really filling meal, and the hot sauce as key to give it an extra kick. I like how it’s a family run restaurant, but would like it if a meal was about $ 10 to keep it more competitive with other places.

Had the Tex Mex double patty burger. It tasted of raw spices. And the next day i was down with a stomach bug. I want my money back(wishful thinking!) for a burger that cost me 9 $ and caused me so much pain and grief. As much as I used to love this place, will not be visiting again.

I wanted to wait till I’ve tried a few things before writing a review for this place and by my 5th visit I find myself ordering the same thing because its so addictive; philly gyro with added jalapeño, must try! I have also tried the tex burger, thought it was just okay. The gyro platter was good but it didnt seem like it was balanced in ratio for each items, it definitely could have used more hummus. I also ordered couple pieces of falafel because they named the store after it and I thought the falafel was okay to good. I thought the price was a bit steep at $ 1 ea. They have other items like pizza and such, all which are halal, but you really cant go wrong with that philly gyro with jalapenos added. My mouth just watered and im still eating one as I write this…

Homayun was very hospitable, even though they were super busy. I am so glad they opened up this one near home. I recommend the club gyro and the combo platter! Their falafel is also very unique and full of spices.

This place is kind of like a Mediterranean diner. It has a falafel sandwich($ 6.00 + tax), but it also has burgers and pizzas that don’t sound Mediterranean at all(I.e. Cheeseburger, Hawaii burger). That said the falafel sandwich was great! The pita bread was large and warm, the falafel balls tasted great, and the vegetables were fresh. I put some spicy sauce and extra tahini in for good measure, but they weren’t necessary. Good for the price and great for picky eaters who need their burgers and pizzas. My only suggestion would be to try to put the falafel balls/gyros onto their burgers or pizzas somehow! That would motivate me to come again!
