Does anyone know what happened to this office? I’ve been calling for weeks trying to get an update on my contact lens order and the phone line just goes to dead air. I just called next door to the Eyeglass Factory and they said Dr. Mast’s office is empty, like they packed up in the middle of the night and left!!! There’s no note on the door, no forwarding info to be found. The office person, Alex, was wonderful but made no mention of them closing up the last time we spoke, he was going to call me when my lenses came in. Anyone know anything?

Apparently his office just disappeared overnight according to the eye glass store next to his closed office. They say he had unpaid bills and left his customers with no way to reach him and many are angry and upset. I know nothing about it other than passing on what they told me today.

Doctor was thorough and good with my daughter. Staff and doctor were nice. Price was great. Office needs painting and organizing but I don’t mind. In fact, I was more comfortable there with the nice and unpretentious staff than in any offices I’ve been before.

My glasses were giving me killer headaches since I look at three screens all day so I shopped around for eye exam prices and I was blown away by how expensive some places in town are! Dr. Mast had the most affordable price out of anyone I found, so I was ready to get less then stellar service for what I was paying. Wrong! The guy who sets the appointments was very friendly and super accommodating to me and my schedule since I work all the way across town. I was actually 30 min late to my appointment because of traffic and it was the end of the day so Dr. Mast had actually just left by the time I got there. The admin called him and he turned right around and came back to fit me in! Then, when my contacts started bothering me, I called to see if I could move up my follow up and they were again, very gracious about working with my schedule. Dr. Mast was knowledgeable and kind, and helped me get the right lenses for my astigmatism, which are sometimes difficult to fit. I am beyond happy with my experience here.

The location and office itself is pretty odd but don’t let that fool you. I’ve been here twice now and have not seen a comparable optometrist. I think what distinguishes him from other optometrists is his clear communication and extensive knowledge. Dr Mast was extremely attentive and thorough in examining my eye allergy, general vision and detached retina. I was also happy to learn he gives free eye exams to the local underserved community.

I recently received a comprehensive eye exam from Dr. Mast and was thoroughly impressed with the adroit service offered at his office. The staff was prompt and courteous, Dr. Mast’s examination demonstrated his adroit skills at optometry, and I appreciated his insightful and distinct explanations regarding my condition. He has years of experience which clearly reveals itself in his practice. The eye pieces prescribed were well matched, I acquired much knowledge about my vision I had not known previously, and he receives my highest recommendation. It is comforting to know I now have a reliable professional to call upon in future visits.

Don’t go here. Actually, you probably can’t if you try. My daughter goes to school in the area and I was setting up an appointment to get her some new glasses. The receptionist Minerva had great trouble even taking down rudimentary information, which wasn’t helped by the baby crying in the background. The point she WAS clear on was that payment would not be insurance(that is ok) but only cash, check or credit card. When trying to come up with an appointment time which would jive with the class schedule, she only repeated the payment options, and demanded to know then what it would be. How could I know? After 7 – 8 minutes and many misspellings and repeats later, I decided this was NOT the place to go. Who would hire someone like that for the front desk? I don’t want to find out! Ended up at Dr. Burris, a great choice!
