You know the food is great when it reminds you of your mothers cooking. Anyone can make tacos but they are great because everything else like the Pozole are what I had as a kid. It obvious that they have a good reference of what real Mexican food should taste like

With so many cleaner spots than this one I can’t understand the high reviews. Personally I didn’t think the asada or pastor was high quality. Asada was chewy but ok flavor. Pastor was very salty with lots of fat pieces. Chorizo was pretty good. One other complaint was that the place was dirty and I could smell funk coming from the kitchen seeping out of the shabby drive thru window. 3 tacos for 7.50 $ don’t come here if you only speak English! Language barrier! Probably have a decent salsa bar inside(to cover up the taste of the meat) but didn’t feel safe at night in the area as thugs roamed the parking lot. Won’t be back. That was my experience so I’m left kinda confused on the good reviews? O well!

I haven’t tried their food, but their happy hour is SUCH a good deal! The drinks are strong, the restaurant is beautiful, and you feel like you’re on an island when you sit in the outside bar. I definitely recommend coming with friends after work. I went with three friends on a Friday and the manager joked around with us and brought us all a free shot, so A+ on service!(Plus they gave me a kids water cup to-go too!) La visa is where it’s at!

I have no idea of why high reviews. I went there with the husband. I ordered something for me, a carne asada for the husband, and 2 carne asada for the two dogs. While I was waiting, I customer got up complaining that his food had a roach in it. He was very irate because the cashier was giving him attitude, but he got his money back, he was so angry, lol. Well, by that time they handed me the take out. I told my husband what had happened. He decided to try his burrito. He took one bite, and looked undecided. The second bite and he began spitting the whole thing. He said it was not for human consumption. I decided not to touch my food. I took a look at our dog’s two carne asada burritos, and they looked horrible, super greasy, lots of gristle and had a funny odor. Nope, I didnt want to make them sick. Im still shocked about the reviews. The place is very shabby inside and outside, and when I say shabby, I mean dirty and unkempt. Health services needs to go over there.

This place makes perhaps the tastiest, most cinnamon-y horachata I’ve ever consumed. And especially comforting is that the entire menu is in Spanish, so you know the food’s legit, too. The horchata helped wash down four delicious street tacos, adobada being my favorite. My dad plowed through his torta like he hadn’t eaten in three days. If you’re within a mile of this location and want tacos, come here.

Wow i honestly dont know how this place has such high reviews. Either theyre drunk or on a good one… I came here around 1230am friday night and it was empty. I ordered steak nachos. The nachos had barely any meat on it! It was literally 90% onions and tomatoes… and the nachos were stale! Maybe i just came at a bad time but damn im never coming back. Not to mention the guy called my bf a cabrone… I would definitely pass on this place. Also it’s super sketch at night.

Favorite Mexican food outside of Mexico! I have eaten here at least 100 times, if not 200. I have had about half the menu, the menu is huge! The new renovations are really nice, staff is really friendly, and the food quality is great. I definitely recommend this place and will be back all the time!

Great food and the staff are very polite. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because i don’t like the structure if the menus. 10⁄10 would eat again.

If you want great authentic Mexican food, come out here. Don’t care how far it is, it’s worth it. The lengua tacos were amazing, and the burrito fell short of spectacular. Come out here. Do it. DOIT.

Tasty food, the best was the cabeza tacos. Taco Tuesday $ 1.25! Pay attention restaurant owners… Full size water cups are HIGHLY appreciated!!! Stop punishing people for preferring water, even better they use full size greenware cups here, five stars all the way. But back to the food, some of the best mexican I have found in the OC for sure give it a try.

Stupendously fresh salsa bar! The quesadilla was delicious. The owner works the register and offered my wife and I free salsa dancing lessons.

I can’t find any negatives about this place. I had the street tacos with rice on the side. The chicken was good but the carne asada stood out as the best. The dude at the counter mentioned how they prepare the carne asada extra special and it shows. So delicious. The horchata was very good too. Slightly creamy and not too sweet but sweet enough. The salsa bar is delicious too. Obviously it’s not nice looking. A bit of a dive but what else do you expect? The food speaks for it’s self.

Service was great, the staff was friendly and even suggested what to get. The food was even better! We had the cooks specialty, chicken hard tacos. Their salsa de aciete(chili with oil), was amazing! I would defiantly go back.

I drive for über and ended up way out of my neighborhood, and didn’t know any of the restaurants around but was starving and craving Mexican food. I was skeptical about finding a place open past 11pm in a rather rural area. alas, I found this place and was BLOWNAWAY. the last few times I had Mexican out of my normal stomping grounds I was extremely disappointed. I LOVE my Mexican food lol. I got the carnitas burrito and it was heavenly. like wow. super greasy, but DELICIOUS. that’s the only thing I’ve had but would recommend. if I’m ever in that neck of the woods again I will definitely stop by.

So every week I check out a new Mexican restaurant to find the best food. My criteria is pretty specific: 1) Presence of Salsa Bar 2) Authentic tacos 3) Rico(Spanish for delicious) menudo and 3) decent atmosphere(I’m not looking for a Javier’s). This place has it all in spades. Delicious authentic tacos, the absolute biggest salsa bar with avocado salsa!(My favorite kind of salsa of all time) and some seriously good menudo(for some reason menudo is hit and miss with Mexican restaurants). They have park bench style seating with a nice private patio area. This place isn’t fancy, it’s like it started as a small to-go building then expanded over the years. The people are very friendly and helpful and the music is nice. Check it out, you know me, I love my Mexican food. :)
