I’ve been here 3 – 4 times, and every time I’ve gone the staff is very friendly and always on the go. It does get a little packed but duh I got there at noon. Food is always awesome! I have noticed that they play the best radio station 95.9, so that’s a double plus for me!

I gave thumbs up for this company to add organic non-gmo tofu to their broiler protein. Yay! I have been to Flame Broiler 2 times since then and I will be back again. I didn’t know they serve brown rice. So the bowl with brown rice, broiled organic tofu, vegetables, and sauces is really healthy. I believe their stuff is non-gmo. I believe the bowl is around 600 calories and 450 mg sodium. Kudos! Also, the bowl has 5 oz of protein. The organic tofu bowl is filling and tasty. Loving it. Please keep up the good work.

Consistently good food, great customer service and they have Vitamin Water on tap. And they love playing Queen, I really enjoy eating here.

Well this is my first review but I had to do it! I ordered the big plate with chicken and beef the portion where super small. The place was empty at about 3 in the afternoon, that made me worry a lil bit. Once I got home I had a real bad stomach ache from this place. While I was eating my meal something did not feel right. I don’t know if my meal was under cooked but something is not right. Can’t hold my self together massive stomach ache, also pepto is not working I may have to go to the ER.

So tonight at 6:40pm I called to order on my 30 min lunch and when he employe picked up I started to order and he with a rude attitude immediately ask if my order was Gona be long and when I said no only 2 orders he complained and said they are really busy and only take big orders so I couldn’t place my order I had to drive there and wait to order. I have never had that happen and I truly and dissatissfied at a consumer and costumer at flame broiler really bummed.

I got a chicken bowl. The white rice was on the moist side, but that’s alright. The chicken was waaaaaaaay too salty though and wet. I also felt that they didn’t give me enough chicken. As for the sauces they only have one pump machine, the rest are in squeeze bottles that you have to squeeze into those little cups yourself.

Love the flavors even before their fantastic, unique, amazing hot sauce is added. Wish there were a bit more meat & veggies to rice, but that could just be me. I’m a meat eater & their steak bowl with brown rice is my fave. Its quick and right priced and once again, their hot sauce is addictively good.

Can’t go wrong with a chicken and veggie bowl, healthy and delicious. I’m gonna give it a 4 star because the service wasn’t so great.

I come here when I have to eat quick but I need it to be healthy… other places tend to make me feel bad. They’re really friendly. I usually go in extra for the white meat chicken. There used to be a bit more of a wait for white meat, but in the time I’ve been going there they’ve not only gotten better at having it available, but they actually start getting it ready when I come inside… sorta makes me feel special.

I love a good teriyaki bowl. I might even have them a few times a week when I’m busy at work. The problem I have with flame broiler is that there isn’t anything particularly special about them. I would call them the McDonalds of Teriyaki Bowls. There are people that LOVE McDonalds’ just like there are people who LOVE Flame Broiler. Unfortunately, I am not one of those people. This has become the solution to «good enough» teriyaki. In my humble opinion, it’s not fresh and it’s overly salty. Today I had the chicken bowl, and as I watched them prepare it, I realized that the chicken is already cooked; not in a good way, Flame Broiler just re-heats the meat on the grill. The redeeming part of the bowl is the yummy rice, which is just tasty… Like McDonalds’ fries! Waba Grill is WAY better.

Love the chicken bowls. This location is tucked away so you may miss it. Parking is limited at times during lunch. For $ 6, receive a bowl and drink. Not bad.

Not all Flame Broiler are created equal. I know — I go to the closest spot near me(wherever I may be). Hence, this one is top notch. The meat really taste grilled(I’ve been to places where the meat tasted boiled instead). $ 5.00 for a chicken bowl and a drink. There’s a charge up for all white meat(healthier) and I usually order an extra side of more white meat. This place has the most affordable pricing of all the places and they move quick. Some FB sell the same combo for a couple dollars more. Lots of court workers come here with it being so close to the Central Courthouse. Quick and efficient, yet delicious.

No GMO’s! Very healthy! Not greasy at all, the rice is kind of dry though! I would still come back.

Yes, it’s a Flame Broiler, and all of the food is pretty much the same at any Flame Broiler, fresh, healthy, good. If you like Flame Broiler food, you like this place, and I am, obviously, a fan. So, why the five-star treatment? Two words: Customer Service. Going to this particular Flame Broiler ALWAYS makes my day and puts a smile on my face. I don’t know what it is the management is doing here to motivate their employees, but they should patent it. Each and every time I visit, I am treated to smiles, courtesy, and genuine concern that I feel welcome and taken care of. All of the employees are always happy. Always. Today when I stopped by, the guy at the counter would not let me leave until he saw my two large drinks safely ensconced in a cup holder. He took the extra time to double seal my bag, because I had orders for three people and he wanted to make sure that the entire order was easy to carry. And, I am treated this way every time. Every damn time. So is every other customer. I have literally watched people walk out of this place with a sort of confused but very happy smile on their face, and I know they are wondering the same thing: How is it these people can be so damn genuinely nice all the time? So there you go. Give them a visit. They deserve to make a lot of money.

The Food was made in a good time. I ordered and it was ready in like 3 minutes. Really fast! :) also it taste really good. They really hooked it up with the veggies in my bowl. I really like flame broiler. The sitting area is a good size but what’s horrible about this place is where you order. The setup is horrible. There is like 2 feet space in between peoples tables and where you order and when there’s a few people in line it feels like there are way more because of how crowded it gets. It’s even tough to walk by people in the little section. It just get pretty uncomfortable when ordering or sitting in that area. Over all though this is a good spot they just need some more room. Ha.

This place was really tough to rate. The reason being is because I had super low expectations and they were exceeded. The thing is that the beef(in the works bowl) was overcooked and jerky-ish. The chicken was good and the brown rice was done well. The cabbage was mushy and WAY overdone. The place is extremely clean, especially for being in a dingier area of Santa Ana. Overall, better than the flame broiler in Placentia but still won’t be coming back.

This is probably my least favorite Flame Broiler. The restrooms ALWAYS have an OUTOFORDER sign. I think the staff simply doesn’t want to allow diners to access the restrooms. I generally order the mini chicken bowl with veggies. It skimps on the chicken and fills up the bowl with veggies to give it an illusion of generosity.

A five-star review for a Flame Broiler? No, really, I’m serious. This place just gets it. Take a clean, comfortable location, add great customer service, and provide fresh, affordable food. What do you get? Happy customers. This Flame Broiler is located near the intersection of E. 17th and Main. Look for the Norm’s Diner. The parking lot is located behind the restaurant and, unfortunately, doesn’t have a whole lot of parking. Luckily, I’ve always found a spot. I usually get the beef bowl or the beef plate with veggies. The regular beef bowl is only $ 5.94! It’s served with a mountain of rice and lots of tender beef. The green onions add a nice kick, so be sure to get them with your bowl. Add a little spicy or magic sauce and you have a great meal on your hands. The beef plate with veggies is similar to the bowl, but offers a little more variety since it’s served with cole slaw, veggies, and orange slices. With the additional veggies, I believe it comes out to $ 7.95. This is an excellent place to enjoy delicious food without burdening your wallet or diet. Here are a few things to note… –Add veggies to any plate for $ 0.50 –Add white meat chicken for $ 1.50 –No extra charge for brown rice! –No charge for extra onions –Most bowls are around 600 calories –Most plates are around 800 calories –No trans fats! Keep up the good work! ^__^

Very impressed! I am a total noob to all these new bowl joints poppin up these days. I’ve always been reluctant to stray from Yoshinoya but armed with a coupon, I decided to finally check out another joint with white bowls and orange writing in Flame Broiler. I got the Works: half chicken, half beef with rice and vegetables underneath. I love how they let you get brown rice here and not charge you extra! I wish Yosh would do this too! The bowl was topped so much that it was a challenge in trying to eat it. I don’t know if I got hooked up or if this is normal since it was my first time at a Flame Broiler, but I wish the food was served in a rectangular flat container instead of the bowl because it was nearly impossible to eat rice, meat, vegetables at the same time. A cube of chicken would topple down the mound of meat everytime I made a wrong move; it was like playing jenga with food! I guess if my only complaint is getting a fat bowl, that’s not too bad. The food itself was good; don’t forget to add some magic sauce. The self-serve hot sauce is yuck, so ask for the sriracha they keep next to the register. Service is excellent and the place is super clean. Great first time experience at this chain.
