Not anywhere near the quality and freshness of the Donuttery in HB. But, definitely the best place in the Santa Ana area that I have had so far

D.K.‘s Donuts could do a little better. When we visited, they ran out of all flavors of ice cream. We ended up getting a variety of cronuts, but they were just okay. It was not anywhere near a 4 – 5 star spot when I visited, and neither was the unattentive, uninterested service of the person working.

Two words: Nutella Cronut! Perfect late night donut stop. Wide selection, friendly employees, great prices. The go-to place for me and my friends — a must try!

OMG these donuts are like the sweet breath of an angel on your tongue. Go there, get donuts, experience what it’s like to be in heaven for 20 seconds-5 minutes, depending on your level of NOMNOMNOM. Seriously though… SUPERGOOD and FRESH!

Amazed that this place has a drive through!!! So convenient as I go to work. The donuts are fresh and so cheap! I think I found my new spot for donuts on my way to work. This place has 3 Windows, which makes it easy and convenient for people.

In search of my perfect croissant! This place did not have it. I am looking for a large, flaky on the outside, chewy and buttery on the inside without an oily taste… I called this place early morning on my way to work, and the lady said they she would SAVE the LAST croissant for me until I come! HOWSWEET! I came and she had it bagged up for me! It was cheap, love that! Their croissant was large but not as flaky as I had wished for on the outside. The inside was chewy but not as buttery as I had wanted. If they can add more butter and make the outside flaky, I’d return just for that! Their donuts are great though! I have been here multiple times just for that!

These are the best donuts on the face of the earth!!! I have been coming her since before I could walk and will be coming here till the day I die. The people are friendly and know me by name, their donuts are the softest tastiest best made donuts on the planet, from chocolate chocolate sprinkle to ham and cheese croissant they have got you covered. This is the best donut shop, so good that I will drive from 15 miles away at the break of dawn to get donuts. Simply the best.

By far one of the best and cheapest donuts I’ve came across! All the flavors are on point! They have a drive thru and out door seating by the back. Gets you in and out in your busy schedule and occasionally hooks you up with an extra donuts if they recognize you which is awesome!!!

%#&% you Unilocal!Usually you enhance my life, but in this case all you accomplished is enhancing my waistline! I saw something on Unilocal about a ham/cheese/jalapeño croissant at D.K. Donuts. I noticed there’s a lot of these D.K. Donuts around and they have fancy things like cronuts, custard filled eclairs, Oreo Cookies N Cream Bars, oreo eclairs, bacon cronuts, red velvet donuts, pumpkin spice donuts, nutella cronuts, strawberry filled donuts, snickers bar donuts… you get the point. As if all this isn’t enough to appeal to your fatass taste buds they also entice your fatass tendencies with the drive thru window. BASTARDS! A couple weeks ago my husband and I were driving to Vegas. I insisted we stop at the Tustin location right off the 55 frwy to pick up some treats. I really wanted him to love this place, but when we got there around 9:30 nothing in the display case looked appetizing. He didn’t flinch. He just ordered a coffee and regular old glazed donut. He loves regular glazed donuts… I was leaning towards not even ordering anything because I had my heart set on splitting a ham/cheese/jalapeño croissant with my husband and they didn’t have any. The employee overheard me and said«we have ham and cheese croissants, we can open it up and put jalapeño in it» SOLD! It was delicious! I get it now… you have to come butt crack of dawn early to get the good stuff. Next time D.K. Donuts. next time.

I have been to three DK’s in my lifetime(Santa Monica, Tustin, and Santa Ana) and this location(Santa Ana) is the place to be if you love BREAD! Not only do they make some fluffy croissants but the raised donuts are densely-light(oxymoron, I know, I just don’t know how else to describe that yummy feeling). I tried the glazed twist and it was lighter than most — evenly glazed to the point that there wasn’t excess white sugar goop visible. Just a smooth finish, like varnish. The cake donuts are not caked in lard either. I don’t know how they do it at this location but the donuts are perfect. Just one trade off — the ham & cheese croissant — it was mostly croissant.

If you’re looking for the fluffiest, buttery, and most delicious donuts in Orange County, DK’s is your spot! Everytime I come back home to Tustin, I always find time to make a pit stop here. They have parking in the front, in the back, a walk up window & drive-thru window. Prices are cheaper than most places — I scored 2 bars, 2 cake donuts &5 donut holes for under $ 4. Another random perk is they have a seating area in the back. The same lady has been working here since I can remember and she is just the sweetest. They tend to be stocked up at all times, but assuming it’s a holiday they can sell out pretty fast. Definitely try these donuts out, you will NOT be disappointed :).

This review is comin’ atcha mainly because I’m on a d!#&(gasp, I know. It’s horrifying.) and I had to cut back on my fatty, fried, sugary deliciousness intake, so naturally, all I can think about is donuts. Also, it is National Donut Day, so I’m celebrating with a review of these delicious bites of heart attack. Oh…these donuts… the blueberry cake donut with glaze is the crowd favorite and I always order a couple if they’re available. Fluffy, blueberry-y, and the perfect amount of sweetness. You can’t go wrong! My personal favorite, though, is the apple fritter. DK’s apple fritters are thinner than other donut shops, but that’s why I like them! They’re crispier, fried with some kind of magic that keeps them from getting soggy. If you’ve ever written off apple fritters as a soggy, lesser donut, try one from DK. You won’t regret it. Love that the shop owners throw in a couple donut holes with your order. They’re not the most incredible things I’ve ever tasted(I usually go late in the day, so they can be a bit dry – my fault, not theirs, imho), but gestures like that are what keep me coming back to an establishment!

This is for the D.K. Donuts near Tustin and 17th street in Tustin. A Donut fan, with a soft spot for Ham and Cheese croissants and hot chocolate. Overall tasty, good prices, varied drinks, accepts ATM, fast service, and good staff, what sets this D.K. apart from its other cousins is both a drive-through window service, and the proximity to the entrance to the 55 South/North freeways, and connection to the 5 South. With their fast service, driving throughout and picking up your order really quickly(from single serving, to office catering), makes it definitely a very convenient Donut shop stop. They haven’t tripped once in 11 years. Recommended. Caveat: Busy car line, specially rainy days.
