A bit pricey, but sales lady very nice & great inventory. We purchased A LOT! and she wrapped everything for our trip with care. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for shells. If they don’t have it, I’d be surprised.

Better than a typical souvenir shop, this place is packed to the gills with shells from Florida and beyond. The non-native ones are clearly tagged. The real richness is in the plethora of shell guidebooks they sell in the back. Having a couple of those will seriously elevate your shelling«game» during your vacation and turn your walks on the beach into a friendly competition as your scour for freak shells and other rarities. There are also children’s books, magnets and other Sanibel-wear like tshirts. I love this place.

Shells are great. Good selection. I would just encourage the staff to learn more on customer service and even though they seem like a mom and pop type business… A smile, inviting attitude, and maybe even some friendly music would set the tone better. I spent 75 and would have spent more if they would have even just said hi. It’s worth a visit for the amazing types of shells, but hopefully their locations will make an effort to get everyone on staff to cheer up. Thanks for the great variety of sea shells though!

first time ever to this location only to be somewhat interviewed i felt by the owner who seemed to be a true floridian with much distaste for new yorkers! when asked where i was from i was kind of made fun of my accent. much of florida’s visitors and tourism is from other states which brings much revenue in. this person is only surviving because of tourism and seems to be very independent. he obviously has no competition which allows him to be so rude and independent! that will only last for so long in my book. will never return again and the old saying is satisfied customers tell approx. 2 people and dissatisfied tells 10 to 12! save your your money and spend it with more pleasant and appreciative merchants.

Reason for 3 stars bs 5 is the employees are so blah, drab, and border on rude. Store has tons of reasonably priced shells and gifts of all kinds. We will try the other location tonight.

I have to change my review to one star only because of the staff. The woman in the shop today was so rude, insulted my mother and stomped her foot like a child. She kept saying things like, «I can’t get a break» and«these people today» I’m sorry we are the customers and spending our money in their shop! She was also yelling at the guy who rang me up about using 2 coupons. He basically ignored her. She also commented that I shouldn’t want to use a coupon on something«as cheap as 8 dollars». Besides the staff the store is pretty nice. There are two locations and the one we went to was the smaller version. They have all kinds of souvenirs and shells galore! If you use a coupon that are all over the island you have to use cash. If we go back next year I think we will try the other location for sure and hope that staff is a little nicer.

She sells sea shells by the sea shore, that’s for sure. If you don’t feel like trolling around the beaches of Sanibel Island all day looking for awesome shells, or maybe you do and are unlucky, then this is the place to go! Every kind and size of shell imaginable. Here’s a tip though. If you’re going for one of those big conch shells that every one is after, look closely. They have them all covered in urethane to look all nice and shiny, and that’s great, but it adds to the cost. We picked up an average sized one for a family member. Clear coated, it was roughly $ 40. Without the clear coat, $ 6. Score! Also, be weary when looking closely as some of the crustaceans that they’ve got for sale(dead and dried and clear coated). If you pick up one of those horse shoe crabs and expect it to be a nifty little souvenir with a cleaned out shell, think again! It’s still got all of it’s legs and body parts. In short, freaky!!! We weren’t the only ones that were surprised and wigged out at the sight. Folks all over the store were gagging and turning in horror. But it’s all good fun. We will definitely stop in again if we’re in the ares of the sea shore so «she» can sell us some sea shells.

Great store but the service is horrible. Staff was more concerned about pricing new items than helping the 3+ customers in line.

Staff is very rude and unfriendly at She Sells. Put back our stuff and walked out. If you are looking for amazing shells go down Periwinkle to and their warehouse behind the store. It was huge with much better displays and the staff was great!

If I could give negative stars I would. Staff was absolutely out right rude to my elderly mother and my children. The shells the have are majority from other places to add. Not from this area. Awful experience.

This is a cute little shell shop with a wide variety of sea shells and other touristy items like t-shirts and stuff. We stopped in while visiting Sanibel Island for the day and this was one of the few places open on the Thanksgiving holiday. The best part was the Christmas tree with handmade shell ornaments that were in the shape of different sea critters. Of course we had to pick one up to take home with us to add to our animal ornament collection. This is definitely the place to go if you’re on the hunt for pretty shells at an average price.

In the market for anything remotely related to sea shells? You’ve come to the right place. I would be shocked if you were in need of anything related sea shells, came in here, and didn’t find it. All sea shells, all the time. 328⁄365

This is such a fun little shop if you like everything«shell.» There were all kinds of loose shells, all in beautiful condition and a lot of collector specimens, like split nautilus shells. There was home décor, jewelry, lamps, sculptures and other decorator items. Of course, there were also the usual local T-shirts, etc. My favorite part of the store was the holiday collection. There were so many really clever tree ornaments made from shells. It was a tough decision, but I finally chose a cute turtle wearing a hat. What I didn’t like were seeing some sharks, that had previously been alive and happy, hanging on the wall as home décor. If you’re looking for any kind of shell item, this is the place to go. The people are friendly and the prices are about average. Have fun and tell them Unilocal sent you!

A lot of shells! I am not a collector of sea shells. But if I was a collector, I would check this place out. There are bins of shells and those on display appear to be in very nice condition(to the non technical eye). There were the«obligatory» t-shirts and baseball caps, too. Christmas ornaments made from shells, shell jewelry and the ever present alligator skulls. Shell collections may be augmented here as they profess to have very rare shells(again, I don’t know). But it was a 15 minute experience on Thanksgiving Day. Definitely more shells in better condition than were on the beaches there on Sanibel Island. But that is about all I can tell you.

Maybe I just don’t love shells that much. But if you do, then come here because they literally have everything. I got some amazing little turtles made out of Captiva shells that I LOVE. They also had some extra items that were good, but I just feel like they could’ve had more. Or maybe get some drinks/food? Not quite sure what is missing, but it is missing. Otherwise, shells of all kinds are completely stocked, so the name fits.

She Sells Sea Shells was a perfect stop for my husband and I as we spent a day on Sanibel Island. Yes, many of the shells found here could probably be found on the beach if you have the time to search, but it was perfect for us as we only had a few hours here. The shop is reasonably priced, and the shell collections are beautiful and well maintained(no searching through piles of broken shells.) There is also a good collection of children’s books(beachy and shell themed!) Our visit here was very memorable and I would definitely recommend stoping here for a few well priced souvenirs to bring home.

A great place to go and find all the seashells you WISH you could find on the beach! The shells we got here completed the enormous collection we found on the beach. I LOVE the seashell lamps! The staff is very friendly and knowledgable! MUST in Sanibel!!!

I love this store and can stay for hours just checkin out the shells and cheesey shell things. We were just goin to stop in and look so i could compare my shells to the ones they had there and so i could identify my shells but… We ended up buying shell cards, a shot glass, a Christmas ornament, and If I stayed longer probably much more! Everyone needs to stop by just to check out the shells at least once! They had some beautiful shell jewelry and decorations too! Pretty unique store and if you like anything about shells you will like this store and the workers are nice too!
