Tacos El Guero

This place deserves nothing less than 5 Stars. The food is AMAZING and the staff are nice. I wish it was a little bigger though with more tables because they’re always packed.

Adobada tacos are delicious… I am not a fan of them but Given that I am always trying to find authentic TACOS with out having to cross the border I aways try them. I had one of each Tripa, asada and adobada. I give them a 10 out of 10. customer service from cashier is too a 10. He was courteous, helpful, funny and patient … I don’t know about you guys but I hardly find good customer service at mexican taco places out here or anywhere other then at the taco stands in Mexico :)… anyhow its worth the drive to this place… cleanliness of tables is lacking bc they don’t have a waiter so, u can either ask them
to clean table for u or you can Feel right at home and get the white rag by the salsa bar and clean ur table lol. You can call ur order in too, salsas are amazingly spicy and good. tacos are 1.75, not bad at all and they are way better then tacos el PAISANO and Tacos el Gordo. Tacos of adobada here are way better then tacos Revolucion and the Asada here are also way better then tacos el gordo and overall better the tacos el paisano. So if ur craving tacos I recommend tacos el GuERO or tacos revolución … yum yum … dos taco de asada por favor :) … the only thing missing here is flour tortilla tacos :(

Plenty of choices to choose from; burritos, tortas, tacos… I had a adobada burrito and it was bomb. Adobada done the right way! Green salsa had a great taste and not to spicy.
They sell beer too!
They have a few flat screens on the wall, great when theres a game going on.
I loved the large window thats open plenty of fresh air flowing through.

Love the staff super friendly ! Tacos are really yummy! I love that if you dine in you can grab a basket of chips for free. ($ 1 to go). It looks like they recently added a bar too and have drink specials! I’ve lived all over SD and this is by far one of the best shops!

we came down for pollo don pepe charcoal grilled carne asada but they ran out and found T.E.G.. didn’t matter about the ratings, what sold me was the pastor vertical spit which is so hard to find.
its so much better when it’s sliced off the spit vs flat grilled like all places in san diego. its the mix of welldone charred bits of the meat along with some fatty bits, add the killer flavor seasonings and natural juices of the pastor… equals mind inducing mexican shawarma.

food is excellent!!!

I really loved this place guy at the register super humble, catering to my needs asked for green onions for my tacos and right away cooked some up for me. They have a good 2 for 1 on beers for happy hour to compliment any order of mexican food you order. Love coming to this place authentic mexican food.

We bought burritos for work ($ 100) and they were plain ! NO CILANTRO NO ONIONS OR GUACAMOLE! Worst Mexican fast food I have every had… no flavor at all and to top it off only 2 salsa containers that went fast on the first burritos

THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB. BEST carne asada fries I have ever had in my life. Very reasonable pricing and GREAT service. If you like Mexican food and happy people, you will love this place. It was so worth the drive. The portions are also very generous. You get more than what you pay for.

Bad ass Mexican spot. They have it all and do it well. Excited to see beer offered here. Grabbed the #10 combo plate which is chile relleno, beef taco rice & beans along with a Negra Modelo and a basket of chips.
Nice covered salsa bar. Chips were ok. Salsas were very good. Plate comes out fast. Chili relleno was very good. The cheese inside was delicious. The taco was very good. Perfectly cooked shredded beef and ratio. Rice and beans were very good. This is a great place. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.

This place is somewhat a pretty cheap place. Their tacos are small and greasy. They dip the tortilla in oil. The place is full of flies. I spent most of the time trying to keep the flies of the tacos. The roof of my mouth feel greasy. There was a super annoying bitch blabbering her mouth non stop. It was 12 noon and the place was empty. I won’t be coming here again.

Loooooove this place so much! Its near to our place and we go by here almost every single time we pass by it. Their food are beyond the servings of any other mexican restaurants I have ever been to. Not to mention, it tastes so good. I have been to a lot more other mexican restaurants and by far this is my favorite one! oh and also, great service and people. I ordered their taco salad and its bigger than my face and also delish. The prices of their foods are also less than any other resraurants. Especially their carne asada fries (all time fav), which is $ 10 at lolitas but in here only $ 6. Come by here and I bet you won’t be disappointed.

The adobada tacos were really, really good. They had a charred taste to them which also gave it a really nice crisp. They put onions, cilantro, and some kind of light green salsa that went perfectly with the meat.
I prefer my carne asada to be a bit more charred, but I’m starting to get that that’s just how they do it here in SD. Charred carne asada is a more central California thing.

We tried a Chicken quesadilla and tacos de Adobada, yes it tasted authentic but the chicken was full of fat, I had no meat whatsoever, salsas were extremely watery, watery? How are they making their salsa because last time I checked, salsa had no water in it. So very fatty quesadilla, not so clean, people can actually scoop right back into their «infected» cup instead of getting a new one, and that is exactly what the staff allows and tells you to do.
Lets stay a bit more sanitary and have less fat in the meals yeah?

Came here after doing a little shopping at the outlets. I was excited to order some potato tacos (they are only $ 1.25 each!!), but they didn’t have any today. Why??? :(
So instead I ordered a Birria taco and and an Asada taco ($ 1.75 each) While we waited, which was not long at all, I grabbed some chips (free is you order «for here») and salsa, at the salsa bar. The tacos came out fast and hot. They serve the tacos with a lot of meat. The 2 tacos were filling for me. Super cheap meal for $ 3.50 and super yummy!
FYI– I don’t think they used to take credit cards, but now they do.

Ohh… myyyy…gaaaawwd!!! Cabeza that can only be this gd by the border! Pastor that makes you close your eyes! It’s ghetto and a lil dirty, but get over yourself and be amazed! I’m gna go all the way back here just to eat here again! Pastor and cabeza times ten is what I’m getting! They have that super hot chile too and roasted jalapeños mmmmm! I’m in love with this place and I dnt care what anyone says!

My first coming here with my girlfriend. We were very impressed with the food. My girlfriend. Has never. Tried Tacos Adobada she was very happy the way the tacos tasted. We are so full now .just ate 5 of these delicious tacos .
This place is very highly recommended .
