I had a very bad experience with this company. I contracted them for 6 months to sell my restaurant. After 6 months with lots of promises, and no results, my contract had expired. I sold my restaurant by myself and it took a while. 13 months after my contract expired, and while I was in escrow Mr. Steven Zimmerman filed a claim with my escrow company seeking $ 11,000. for his commission. I had to retain a lawyer. My lawyer instructed Mr. Zimmerman to withdraw his claim, because the contract had long expired. Mr. Zimmerman insisted that he sold my restaurant, and he was due his commission. Mr. Zimmerman said that if we wired ½ of his claim(a new total of $ 5,500.) into his bank account within 4 days, he would withdraw his claim. My lawyer advised me to do this, because if we went to court it would end up costing me more than the $ 5,500. So we wired the $ 5,500. the next day .I also had to pay attorney fees. I would never work with this company. Good at initial appointment to list the business. After you sign the contract you never hear from them again. NEVER could get a call back from the Broker, they are most unprofessional.

Very happy with Steve Zimmerman and his team. Restaurant Realty are clearly the leaders in their field for a reason. Looking for a new restaurant can be a slow process, but RR were quick to respond to all our queries and gave straightforward explanations and guidance throughout the process and afterwards. We used Restaurant Realty to sell a family bar in San Francisco and had a very satisfactory experience from start to finish. The office support staff was polite, helpful, and efficient. Our broker, Steve Zimmerman, is very knowledgable about the market and was responsive to every email and phone call. We had several landlord issues to work out and Steve was able to maintain a positive working relationship with him. We also had ABC complications and Steve was very helpful in resolving those. He was able to draw on effective resources when needed and maintains a network of knowledgeable professionals he can call on when his clients need extra support. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Restaurant Realty to anyone who needs an experienced, professional, and effective realtor for selling a restaurant or bar.

I had a really bad experience with this company. They sign you up telling you they are going to do all this marketing to sell your business. When you are under contract it’s hard to get a hold of your broker. You never get updates about potential buyers. You are just a number on their sales list. No personal attention is given to you. They inflate the numbers of how many people actually view their website to show they can sell your business. Finally when my contract expired and I followed up with the potential buyers most of them said it was difficult to speak with any broker about the business. All they got when they called was an answering machine. There was never any follow up. Months of wasted time with this company of trying to get my business sold. I would not recommend using this company.
