My favorite pizza place in Marin. Not sure why I have not written a review before. The dough is delicious, tender but not limp and mushy, the toppings are fresh and generous amount of toppings. The interior is nothing fancy, the staff is efficient and pleasant. I would go here any day of the week, and we drive from San Anselmo to get their pizza it is that good! If you want/need a good pizza, go to Lo Coco’s.

This place has it down, from the ingredients to the dough. We love Antonio’s Special. Has a flavor that can’t compare to the pizzas in NewYork. It feels great to go to this place, feels like home and the owners greet tables and ask about your experience. They should definitely deliver but whatever, we can drive or even go walking from the Mall. Great spot.

Awesome pizza that looks and tastes like it’s made with fresh ingredients! Hand made dough is not greasy and messy. Great flavor and nice people

Wow, the service comments by others is an under statement compared to how we were treated. Came in on a Sunday late afternoon(4:30) hoping to grab some after soccer pizza with a couple of families. Well the«head waitress» told us they could not take us right away we would have to give them some«time». She did not say how much time, or if she would be able to serve us, just that they needed time. Mind you, there were 3 tables being served. Granted they had a big party coming in, but she did not tell us at what time or anything. She was SO rude. We stood by the door and not once did she come talk to us. We left. I have been in the restaurant/service business for 20+ years. This was the absolute worst. I don’t like writing negative reviews but, wow, the owners managers should reevaluate their«lead server». I think she has lost the love and needs to move on. Unfortunately she affected 3LOCAL families views on this place. boooo

Lo Coco’s is the best place to eat. I experienced the greatest pizza of my life here. My friends and I relax here often. I recommend this joint to all.

Here’s an update from my 1st review — after a terrible experience w the service, I will say the pizza was really good! So I’ve bumped them from a 1(service only) to an overall 4. =*====== This review is just for service only, I have yet to eat the pizza, but after coming in to pick up my first pie here I’m not so sure I want to come back. There was a whole a lot of chaos and confusion not just on my order, but on the gal in front of me & the one behind me. It was just a mess.

Our family loves this place. It’s a neighborhood place where locals have been going for years. They went there as kids and now they take their kids. The pizza is the best and I think the secret is their crust. It really makes a difference. We usually order the bianca pizza which uses garlic and olive oil on the crust instead of red sauce and it is quite yummy, but you can order red sauce or even pesto sauce. Just know that this place only serves pizza, salad, cannelloni and dessert — nothing else. Go there for the pizza and you won’t be disappointed.

This pizza is the Best* and is really why we keep this as our go-to whenever we don’t want to cook at home. *Best in the area Pros: — Mom and pop pizzeria place when you walk in, the people, the furniture, etc. Feels homely. — The pizza is good, they have the crust down which is the important part. — THEIRRANCHISAMAZING Cons: — When did pizza’s become so expensive? I feel their prices for the size you get is not a good value. But if this is something you do infrequently, then it’s worth the price for the quality. — They don’t deliver. — Menu is limited as far as what you would expect for appetizers for a pizza place. We will continue to come back here, wish they delivered but it’s worth it to leave the house for the pizza.

Great place. Good atmosphere and delicious, authentic pizza. Good salads with special Italian dressing that’s slight spicy. Sell carafes of wine, to top it all off.

This is one of those perfect, old little pizzerias that’s been in the community forever, and long may it reign. This place has my favorite crust of all the local pizza spots around here. It has a flavorful, garlicy taste to it instead of just cardboard. Meaning, I actually eat the crust instead of scooting it over to my husband! My favorite would be the ham and pineapple.

This place is awesome! It is perfect to bring the family or even a date. The kids can watch the cooks make the pizza and they give out cheese as they watch. Best pizza you will ever have guaranteed. The salads are also awesome, once you try lococos you will crave it.

Best. Pizza. Ever. Bold statement I know, but it’s the BEST I’ve ever had. The gluten free crust is FANTASTIC!

This is a review of a solo dinner at Lo Coco in San Rafael. After work, I walked almost 40 minutes to try a slider shack called Weezy’s. It was closed. I wasn’t in the best of moods. I also wasn’t really in the mood for a prolonged sit down dinner. I spotted Sonora Market and Taqueria but it was empty. The guy there seemed to be intently cleaning. So, I walked on by. Lo Coco was pretty busy. Even though it wasn’t the type of dining experience, I was in the mood for, I was starving and decided to give it a try. I walked in. There were folks standing along a counter in back. I am pretty sure this was for takeout orders. The place was a little over half full. There wasn’t a sign on whether I should sit myself or wait to be seated. I stood there. I stood there some more. I stood there for even a little longer. Another group came in, they seemed to be as perplexed as I was. Finally, one of the servers who had been zipping here and there came over. She was very friendly and showed me to a table. This is where I am just going to come out and say it. I did not enjoy my dining experience at Lo Coco. You might ask«But Mark, how can that be? You are giving them a four star review and they have so many other great reviews». Well, there are restaurants that are not geared towards solitary diners. Lo Coco is one of these. The servers are incredible nice and incredibly friendly. But, they are also relatively absent during the process. There was the wait to be seated. There was a short wait for menus. Why isn’t a menu simply handed to you when you are seated. There was a long wait for my check to be brought out. They may simply not have a lot of servers. But I think from what I saw it is more likely that the servers spend a good deal of time engaged in conversation with regulars. This is probably good for business. It was sort of like having your favourite absent minded aunt as your server. Ok, I have that out of the way now. The restaurant has the feel of the old school Italian restaurants that I went to when I was young. In a time before Americans ate sushi, Thai, and Indian, small towns and big cities were littered with these Italian restaurants that felt a bit like a 70’s living room with walls covered with«Italian» art. I did get a menu. I did get to place my order. I now know why everyone orders one of their salads. It is because it is going to take some time before your pizza pie is going to arrive. For me, that amount of time was 32 minutes. Talermitana(Italian Sausage & Mushroom) — While I did get to repeatedly stare at my phone and the ceiling for thirty minutes, the pizza was actually worth the wait. It is the best pizza I’ve eaten in a very long time. The crust is nice and flavourful. It hits the sweet spot between thin and thicker crust pizzas. I do think the pizza is more of a mushroom pizza with some sausage. The mushroom and sausage did not have equal billing. The sausage was very mild. The mushrooms had a wonderful earthy meaty flavour and there were lots and I mean lots of them. During the time I ate my pizza, I was in heaven. Then I finished eating my pizza. Then I waited. I waited some more. And I even waited a little more. Then my check was brought over. Receipt(1 pizza): $ 27.43 Overall — The pizza at Lo Coco’s Authentic Italian Pizzeria is very good. While a bit dated, the room is warm and cozy. The service is very friendly but often absent. You can make your own call as to whether you think almost $ 30 bucks is too much for a very good pizza. If I go back, I will go with friends. While the pizza is being prepared. to pass the time, we will share a salad.

There are pizza places that, despite having a four or five star rating, don’t always live up to the hype. They have the reviews, they have the menu, but when you actually go there and place your order, you’re let down or disgusted! Lococo’s is not that kind of pizza place. The pizza is delicious, and the crust is some of the best I’ve ever had. I repeat, THEPIZZAISDELICIOUS! I’ve been here multiple times, and Lococo’s has never failed to impress. The crust is crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, the price is great for the amount of food and toppings they give you, and the pizza itself is fantastic. Toppings are fresh, the cheese is great, the crust… Did I mention the crust? The CRUST! Give Lococo’s a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Very crust. Much yum. So pizza. For 25+ years now, I’ve been hunting for a pizzeria that can outdo their wonderful crust. Thick, chewy, delicious amazing goodness. The ingredients, the staff, the ambiance, all very good, exceptional even. That pizza, though…

I don’t know what happened to the service when we were there(4 of us), but it was horrible. We received menus and that was it. After about half an hour I got up and asked for a class of wine. Then after about 15 minutes I went looking for our server and said we would like to order. We ordered two salads and 3 beers. One salad came with two plates and no beer. Another salad was delivered after we asked for it again no beer. I got up after awhile and asked for our beer. Finally our pizza came. Took over an hour just to get what we ordered. Inexcusable!

OK… I’ll admit it, I’m a pizza snob.(You can take the guy out of Jersey… but you apparently cant take the Jersey out of the guy). Having settled in to my life in the bay area, I had re-set my expectations as to what«pizza» was… Lococo’s has since reset my expectations. The pizza is great… the service equally so. My only complaint? I wish they were open for lunch too…

Here’s what I ordered take out: COMBOPIZZA — Medium — 8 slices — $ 22.80 + tax At first I felt it was a tad pricey, but you know what? It’s one of the best gosh darn pizzas I’ve ever had. The toppings where plenty and absolutely delicious. I’m no fan of artichokes, or mushrooms, but guess what… the entire pizza by the whole or slice or however you have your pizza… was frickin’ tasty. I usually eat 2 – 3 slices of pizza… but I think I could have eaten 5. You see the pizza doesn’t make you feel heavy! The ingredients tasted fresh too! I appreciate the green onions, but thats me I love green onions. Oh, and every eating experience is a learning experience for me! Lo Coco’s taught me that I should from now on stay away from Parmesan… unless I eat it by myself… if ya know what I mean… heh. When I came to pick up the pizza, the staff was super friendly and nice. It felt very welcoming… wish I dined in! I think I’m having some again tonight… Thank you Lo Coco’s! :)
