Solid food. They were out of the BB ribs when we called so we opted for St. Louis dinner(9 ribs) with macaroni cheese, potato salad beans(sides were pretty small). We also got 5 chicken breast strips. We picked up togo — St Louis ribs — Pretty good taste, firm texture but still tender enough — Macaroni and Cheese — bland — Potato salad — average — Beans — Pretty good — Chicken strips — Yummy Also there BBQ sauce was pretty good. Good food, but too expensive in my opinion. Total for above came $ 47.

The prices on the menu don’t reflect actual charges. We were way overcharged and charged for things we didn’t even want, only asked about. When brought to their attention they were slow to react without any real apology. I very suspect of their practices and customer service. I won’t go back there ever again.

The place looked very inviting and smelled like they had good food. It was the worst food I have ever eaten! The whole time I was there there was a guy in the kitchen yelling at the girl on the counter. The way he spoke to her was very diminining… Treated her so bad and yelled at her her she asked questions. Very uncomfortable it made my stomach feel very sick. Will never be back and will let people know not to go there.

The food is yummy for the price. One of our dear friends left their purse behind on accident. We called and they said they couldn’t find it. We were just wondering how long it takes to bus a table once a party leaves and how it could have been missed in such a small place.

I really wanted to be impressed… mediocre at best :(But to be fair, maybe it was because we went late at night and got the not-so-fresh section of the meat. The deli fried chicken at the local grocery store(Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons) is considerably better than theirs. The pork ribs was a huge disappointment. I did get a little taste of the pulled pork sandwich, which is probably the best thing in the menu.

Holy heck guys!!! The food is good I’m from the south and I know my bbq I know my smoke my flavors and people. That’s the most important thing in food is the people who make it and serve it and even deliver it. I placed several orders in and every time I’m happy. I have gone in and been happy and the main ingredient to that is Monique. She is so helpful and knows her stuff. She always has good taste. Always polite and sweet. I never worry about a thing when my family comes in and sees her. Monique is why we come over and over again.

I’ve been going there for years. One of the best I’ve been to in San Pedro but lately the quality isn’t the same. Just bought some tri tip sandwiches today and three out of four were made with raw and hardly cooked meat that was hard and near impossible to eat. Such a shame because it was our go to place for BBQ.

Some of the best Fried Chicken in Los Angeles. Not a fan at all of their BBQ I think it’s mediocre at best but due to lack of BBQ options in the area it’s pretty much all you have in town. They’re burgers are huge and very tasty too if that what you are craving.

This place does not disappoint! Their kansas hot sauce is that FIRE! My all time favorite is their tri-tip…so good with side of mac’n’cheese, texas toast, and that chicken crack(yes, addicting). Their chicken is also very flavorful. My mouth is watering as I am thinking of their food… Also, they have excellent customer service, Juan — the other day was kind enough to give me some texas toast when I forgot to order it…(& he didn’t have to do that… because it was my mistake — but he was just so kind about it).

Looks like they scaled back the menu a bit but there are items they have sometime not on the menu like brisket and burgers. Just ask. Still delicious and awesome with a little wait time.

I wanted to find a brunch place but, the smokey sweet smell of BBQ drew me in. So glad It did. At first glance through the door you would get the idea that it’s a to go place only with the deli counter. Porky’s delivers and take out. We sat inside the Resturant that seats 42 and admired the ecliptic décor of mamma’s kitchen in the 70s. The food was Amazing! First bite into the baby back ribs was deliciously, made my mouth salivate for more! So I immediately ordered more. If you love greens! Must try them here. The greens were clean, no gritty taste. Flavor was spicy but not over powering, cooked to perfection. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Must try this place if your in town.

My coworkers and I were looking through Unilocal to see where we can buy a BBQ package deal and came across Porky’s BBQ. I was looking through the picture and found a picture of their menu with the BBQ package. Immediately we saw that the BBQ/Chicken Tray Package for 79.99 will fit our budget. I called and s/w Vera who was very helpful. She indicated that the menu i was looking at was old. However, she will honor the deal. We also added two x large side, corn bread and mac and cheese. Corn bread wasn’t that good. And the Mac and Cheese everyone here loves it. Overall food is good.

Absolutely delicious bbq pulled pork, and the hot water corn bread was so good it must’ve been made by the combined efforts of every God in mythological history. The bbq beans were also heavenly, but the most memorable highlight of the first time visit, was the excellent customer service from both workers and the manager/owner/chef himself! My order took a little longer to get to me, and the amazing staff have me a free side, and the manager wouldn’t leave our table alone with his friendliness and offerings of all different types of special food. The best thing was straight-out-of-the-oven pulled pork that was so tender and amazing it melted in my mouth. This place is the best, highly recommend, 10⁄10!

I recently moved to San Pedro. I am not too familiar with the area so I decided to walk around one weekend. My husband and I were hungry and we stumbled upon Porky’s. Let me tell you, it was a good thing! We ordered the beef brisket and chicken strips. Oh my GOSH… Their food is unbelievable. The chicken was my favorite. Juicy and full of flavor! The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. I recommend this place to everyone. P. s. they also Deliver!

Picked up some to go BBQ for the 4th of July! Best Brisket I’ve EVER had! I just got back from Kansas City and eat at Oklahoma Jack’s which was good but not quite as tender and juicy as this Porky’s Brisket! Oh and the Baby Back Ribs are to kill for!

This place brings you in by it’s bbq smell, and perfect since it’s sitting on the corner away but close to a strip of other restaurants. The food is alright. I kind of hyped it up since I recognized the name and saw lots of celebrity photos on the wall but when we walked in, it was dead. I ordered the basic pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw and fries and the cashier was friendly– helped me choose between the chicken or the pork and told me the pork was their best seller. But we say out on the patio and our food was brought out and I wasn’t impressed. I mean, it LOOKED delicious, but it wasn’t anything special. I actually didn’t like the fact that my meat was kinda cold like it wasn’t cooked all the way and I really didn’t like the fact that the bottom half of my burger bun was soaked with grease and sauce making it unappealing for me to eat. The pork tasted kind of greasy so I honestly ate only half and ditched the rest. One good thing I can say, is their cole slaw is good. And darn! Those fries! The fries are skinny and delicious, with seasoning. Just the way I like them. Maybe next time I’ll follow another customers advice and get the ribs, lol.
