Massage Wen is a convenient massage place in San Marcos if you want friendly people, a good price at $ 40 per hour, and hours from 10 – 10, 7 days per week.
Lily will schedule a massage if you call in advance.
If you mention your birthday you can get a $ 5 voucher towards a massage, and if you do a Unilocal review you can get $ 5 off a massage. They also have a massage card after 10 paid massaged you get a free massage.
I have had several therapists but most recently Cici. She is very nice and makes sure to ask you what pressure you need. If you request hard she will give you plenty of pressure, medium is a little less pressure, but still pretty firm. Cici massages you for the time that you paid for and not a minute less.
I have never had them complain about a tip or anything else. I am not sure what some of these other Unilocalers experienced.

I wanted the lady to walk on my back, but after I get into the room, she tells me that i need to request that head of time and we need to be in a special room, so not all rooms can accommodate walking on your back. The lady in the front needs to just work the desk, not give massages while trying to attend the front desk. Payment should be at the end, not before the massage starts. There should not be a credit card extra charge.

Massage Wen-​Chi gets 5 Stars from me. I’m a regular and have had treatments from many therapists there and they are all great. Tell them where it hurts and they will make you feel better. I go in for my back and Cici knows how to make me feel better. I’ve had May and Yoyo and they’re great too. Lily, the manager, can get you in at the last minute if you’re hurting and need a treatment. She’s great. I like them because the price is right, it’s clean and quiet and they care about making you feel better. I don’t hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

Veered away from my usual spot in Escondido because we were killing some time in San Marcos and this place had good reviews. The ambiance was so-​so. The room we were situated in seemed to be next to the break room. Could hear other workers speaking and the clanking of bowls and silverware. Oh well, it wasn’t anything too loud or obnoxious and I could look past it. My masseuse was friendly, asked how hard I wanted my massage, but I left not feeling much better than when I walked in.

Every now and then I go get massages to relax myself and let the stress away. Usually when I go is because I know I have a lot of stress and my back starts hurting.
The lady that helped me asked if I wanted soft, medium or hard massage. I replied hard. She was nice and that’s the only reason I am giving two stars. Besides that the massage wasn’t hard enough and I still feel knots on my back.

Amazing massage! I highly recommend this place. I was stuck in traffic and by chance saw their sign and decided to take a break from the traffic jam. I’m so glad I did because I received an awesome massage. The masseuse even used hot rocks which was an added bonus for my back & shoulders!!! It’s a great price too!

I would strongly recommend this place, great massage, great people, great environment. Great place to relax after a long day working!

Legit and awesome massage. Ana was very soft and gentle and definitely knew how to give a great massage. I feel that there isn’t enough AC in that place, though, and it got pretty hot. Other than that everything was great.

They recently change the owner. Now they offer $ 40 for one hour full body massage. The room is clean and nice. I recommend Anna, she is great! She asks how is the pressure and do focus on the place where you ask to put more attention on.

Nice massage place in San Marcos with a relaxing atmosphere. After an hour of massage to get all the knots out of my back, I feel nice and relax. Rachel is an excellent masseuse snd applies just the right amount pressure to fix the problem areas of my back. I would definitely keep coming back and would highly recommend this place.

If you want an expensive oil rub, go for it!!!

Great little massage find in San Marcos! Great hours and very accommodating appointments, we needed 3 massages after work, and only called them 2 hrs ahead. Good deep tissue massage, very relaxing head, scalp, back and neck massage. Very hospitable and they have loyalty cards for coming back — yea, they are 2 blocks from work! We will be back…

I wish I could give a better review, but the exit so rubbed me the wrong way (pardon the pun), that I am making this a one-​time-​only experience.
Too bad, the therapist was pretty good, I had an enjoyable massage and even though there was a bit of a language issue trying to communicate, it was pleasant enough.
Here’s the problem, I’m done, dressed, going out the door, and hand to my therapist a 25% gratuity, she frowned with a «is that it???» look on her face. I’m probably more sensitive about this than the next guy, but REALLY? You don’t understand what the expression «THANK YOU» means??? Is there some new protocol I’m missing that we’re supposed to be tipping 50% and up for a massage? If that’s the case, and 25% is out of line and cheap, then to borrow an expression from Steve Martin… «ex-​cuuuuuuuuuuuuze meeeeeeee».
So the guy at the desk (nice guy by the way) hands me a punch card for a free massage after you’ve had 10. And the massage was good enough that I would have become a repeat customer, but when I get someone who complains about a 25% gratuity instead of offering a «thank you», that just blows my mind… I tossed their 10-​massage punch card in the waste basket and won’t be back.

This place is wonderful, I went in for 60 minute massage and Rachel was able to workout the back and leg issues that have been plaguing me for months now. Friendly, professional staff, reasonable price, and comfortable atmosphere. I will be back and will definitely recommend massage chi to anyone. As for the one star review, I did not experience anything even close to that, my expletive was professional and therapeutic.

It’s been a while since my last massage, so I really wanted one. Been checking out Unilocal and I found Massage Chi & Spa. Only had two reviews, one 5 star and one 1 star. Quite a contrast, so I thought I’d give them a try and break the tie.
The one Unilocaler who gave the one star must have had a bad day or something. No problems with the sheet being totally removed or making me grab their buttocks or breasts or anything like that. Yes… she massaged me close to my private parts, but there was NO inappropriate touching or exposure.
My masseuse was Coco. She was very friendly and attentive, continually checking to make sure I wasn’t uncomfortable or that the massage wasn’t too rough. In fact I felt very relaxed and at ease.
It seemed that Coco was taking a longer than expected on my back (like I said it’s been a while, and my back is constantly a bag of knots), so I told her she could do an extra half hour if she needed it. When all was said and done… I felt pretty good after she had completed. Thank you Massage Chi & Spa, and thank you Coco. I hope to see you again soon…
